In this video, I'm going to review my journey from Brunei (BWN) to London (LHR). This is my first time flying on RB's 787-8 Dreamliner Business Class. My ticket was last minute upgraded so I wasn't entitled to use the Skylounge. As an overall, it's a fantastic flight from ground to sky. Cabin crew are so friendly and commendable. Their attitude, service efficiency and hospitality definitely make RB so underrated. Special credit to Mr. Kok Yean (CSO), Mr Soon Onn, Ms Klarissa, Mr Roziman, Mr Ak Wira.
In these few years, it's prevalent that RB has put a lot of effort in terms of marketing and expanding their routes to Australia, China and Borneo (RB Link). LHR-BWN-MEL and vice versa are their most profitable routes, and it's always a busy flight. Perhaps RB can consider refurbishing its Business Class so that it's product can keep up to the standard amidst of this competitive aviation industry.
Regarding food and crew, great! However, there are some minor cons (my humble yet personal opinion). The screen monitor is rather small and a bit too low. Its remote control is also a bit old which is not so suitable for Business Class. If I wish to reach to the literature and slipper compartments, I have to bend my body forward or even leave my seat. Besides, the power outlet and remote control are a bit hard to reach too if you recline your seat or have your pillow at your back. The arm rest, when raising, does not really give privacy to passengers. I'm sure RB would keep upgrading and improving their products and facilities in the near future. Will you choose RB? There is no WiFi on all RB's dreamliners. Business class passengers can decide their preferred meal time. They should at least place their order for breakfast at least 1 hour prior to landing. Economy class's breakfast is served 2 hours prior to landing. Hot towels are provided before taking off and landing.
Royal Brunei Airlines owns 5 B787-800 Dreamliners, registration number of V8 from DLA to DLE. Onboard this aircraft, there are 254 seats which are 18 Business Class seats, 52 Economy Preferred Seats and 184 Economy seats. Business class seats can be turned into full flat-bed with 79 inches seat pitch and 21 inches width (from arm to arm) with 15.4 inches in-seat personal TV. Economy class passengers can seat 33 inches on average seat pitch and 17.2 inches width for most seats. It can be reclined up to 6 inches. All seats are equipped with 9 inches touch screen with USB charging capability. Seat 43A, 43K, 50A and 50K are windowless.
As of 1 January 2020, RB owns 14 aircrafts (5 B788, 2 A320ceo & A320neo) and 2 ATR72-600s which are operated by Malindo Air. RB is one of the airlines that operates the youngest fleet in the world.

Myself and the family are flying from London to Dubai with RB on Economy.
@@samuelkhan99 during that time 2020 Feb, RB operates BWN-LHR direct flight. The flight now has a stopover in DXB.
My favourite airline ! I used to fly to London from Melbourne each year for work pre-wuhan virus. The best !
I've been on this Airline and route before as I was at Brunei airport for a shot stopover. The crew were really friendly and helpful during both flights coming from Melbourne and on the flight going to London.

I miss this aircraft. I remember taking a flight in a Boeing 787 dreamliner from Brunei to Dubai to London in 2015 in mid june. It was the best flight I had with RB

Didn't really liked the 2-2-2 seats in Business Class especially on a long flight like this. Other than that, it seems like a enjoyable experience to fly on Royal Brunei Airlines! :D
Isaacflyaway You nail it. I always find 1-2-1 business class is better. I find it a bit narrow (2-2-2) especially when you turn your body while sleeping

Royal brunei BI 003 very2 comfort airline. Steward and stewardess very2 good in service. Polite and humanity. Cabin in economy clean. Very silence cabin from machine. Delicious meal and food. Some day i want to fly with royal brunei again.

Looks like it's improved a lot since I went with them to Perth from London in 2003, it wasn't the greatest experience . I'd previously flown with Singapore Airlines who are brilliant. However I can't fault the crew, they were great.

It was! RB crew are genuinely nice and they are really friendly towards vlogger (camera). ☺️ The only thing about this airline is their limited flight options and frequencies. Also they call it "dry airline" because no alcohol is served on the flight. :)

I flew RB on the exact same date.. HKG BWN with a 787 and BWN SUB with the A320. Your aircraft supposed to fly to HKG on that day but they swithced it with V8-DLA which was supposed to fly your flight. Nice coverage
Frederick Lee What a coincident! You are so lucky to fly on RB 787, as they don't use Dreamliner on a daily flight basis. How was the pax loading on your flights? (HKG-BWN & BWN-SUB) I'm so elated when I found out DLE is operated my route as I had been monitoring this fleet's route for many days.
@@Dragflyer9669 HKG BWN with a 787 is quite normal. They deploy 787 for that route 3x/week, and 4x/week with the 320neo (before the corona outbreak). HWGBWN last time was like 98%, and BWNSUB 80%.

Agree with your comment on RBA Business Class. Also since they are a small and "VERY Rich NATION" , I do think IMPO they should invest in An Excellent Noise Cancelling Headphones such as BOSE or SONY. Also the seats need to upgraded. They should also presenting their signature Non Alcoholic Cocktail like the one in Saudia Airlines - BELLINI @ CIPRIANI or 0.00% Halal Sparkling Wine and any Premium Tonic Water and vice versa.
You nail it very well. Cocktail and especially the headphones. Thank you for reminding me about it. The seat has very great pitch. In terms of seat width, I think "plus size or stocky passengers" won't feel comfortable about it when they lay flat.

Yes. Which means you are on the aircraft which I was on earlier from BWN to LHR. That same aircraft flies you home.

There’s no such thing as a 787-800. There are, at present, 787-8, 787-9 and 787-10. Having said that RB looks great!
Thanks for telling. I always thought it was -800, -900 because B737-400,800 and Airbus A350-900, -1000 until I checked on the internet. I thought All the aircraft would have the same numbering patterns, how funny! Lesson learnt.

I went to Bali last year I was doing my check in I had big problem with staff they wanted deny me to fly.
They asked me for how long I gonna stay in Bali and I answered 2 months and they wanted deny me and I told that is possible when you arrive in Bali get two months visa but they argued with me after that come the supervisor and didn't help me.
After to much stress and lost time I got the fly ...

This Brunei Airline is definitely not recommended for Americans like me. It is a bedroom city airlines and the airline do not any alcohol beverages . In other words it a a dead boring airline.

Indeed. Quite deserted actually with nothing much to do and explore. If you have a long transit and stay at the airside, it's really boring. No free wifi is provided to transit passengers.
