I'm currently taking a break from SoT because I had multiple cheaters encounters recently and it demotivated me. Your video makes me miss the time when I was solo slooping and looking for trouble with every crew I came across. The feeling of adventure and danger, and having no idea about what would happen next was amazing.
Amen to this brother, I'm on EU where thankfully the cheating doesn't seem to be quite as prevalent, but I do still see some every now & then. Usually you can spot them coming a mile off cause they've usually got a default sloop with an offensive name and are flying the pride flag 🙄
@@t0mbst0neyt I'm on EU too brother. During first weeks of season 8 I met no cheaters so I thought people were exaggerating then I met 3 cheaters in 1 week. Since then I only played a few times. It sucks because I miss doing piracy, I really hope Rare will add an anticheat otherwise the problem is only gonna get worse.

This is a bit off topic but something I'd like to see next season if it's possible to implement; is the ability to have duels with a member of your own crew. It would be like duels in mmos where both players have to click a button to consent to the duel and they become able to damage each other. Then maybe there'd be some kind of system where the losing player isn't sent to the ferry maybe they just drop to 1 health and do a little defeat animation? Either that or they could just have them die as normal and the duel partner can just ress them. Or not if they're feeling mischievous 😂
That seems like a lot of effort on the developers part for like 3 people that would ever use it...
@@JJvideoman You kidding me? That would be an amazing feature. Instead of playing music for a 1000 time, or fishing, or sleeping, or AFKing, I would much rather tdm my own crew so we don't get too rusty in the pvp department.

How does the in-game voice chat work? Whenever I play SOT, and I try to talk in game, the chat box icon shows up, but it’s obvious that nobody can hear me. Also, every person I come across in the game is completely silent. Is there something I’m missing?
if the other crew are in a groupchat then they won't hear you if they play on xbox, only people in gamechat will be able to hear and talk to everyone.
@@davidrasthammar1057 yea but it’s with everyone I’ve encountered in the game so far. Including open crews that I’ve played with. I doubt that everyone I’ve interacted with is playing on the Xbox.
you probably sound like a robot, same happens to me. Game audio setup is trash. There are videos to fix it. Hasn't worked for me though

Step 1 Equip blunderbuss and eye of reach step 2 learn quickswap step 3 kill the pirates
