    If you're a kid and your parents/relatives discover that you have a good voice, expect that in every reunion your relatives will automatically pass the mic to you. and even if you said that your voice is not in good condition they will said "just a sample"
    The sample song: LOVE ON TOP 😂

    Filipino love music to sing in particular because it's FREE! 🥰
    when we're sad, we sing;
    when we're happy, we sing;
    when we're bord, we sing;
    when we have celebration, we sing;
    when we're tired, we sing;
    when we do cleaning specially in our own houses, we sing;
    even when we feel frustrated we sing!!
    and most of the vendors here play music to attract customers, the louder the better 👍😉

    there are a lot of filipinos who can sing,i mean it's literally everywhere.it's because not every filipino pursue singing as their job.a lot of us priorities studies.but we loved to sing it has been a part of every filipino.music here in the Philippines is everywhere.so you if you randomly pick someone in a crowd to sing you would probably get 1or2 to sing or even more..

    Karaoke machines are not just in public places but in people’s houses as well. So every time there’s a celebration we put our karaoke machine for everyone to use. It’s an open mic all throughout the celebration and usually all the people in the neighbourhood are invited. We open our gates and the foods and drinks are on display for anyone to eat. It’s fun. It’s what i miss most since moving to Canada. It’s like a one big family, and since we have karaokes at home when we’re bored we sometimes use it to pass time. :)

    in a karaoke machine, 1 song = 5 pesos :) Sulit na sulit ang 5 pesos means like they have maximized the 5 pesos paid for that one song because everyone was able to sing already :)
    One of my most memorable experiences in singing in front of a crowd is when we were at Boracay Island. We went to a small acoustic bar. This bar appears only at night near the shore, they just place throw pillows in the sand and small tables there, customers sit in the sand under the beautiful night sky and an acoustic band is just set up there. They have their own vocalist but they also invite their customers to sing if they like. My friends just volunteered me to sing, and that's my first time singing with an acoustic band, it's a dream come true for me. It was an amazing experience.

    Normally with Filipino families they let the kids continue singing and push for them to go to school for them to have a backup for their life. It will depend on the parents. Studies is still a priority at most and not all.

    Party in the PHILIPPINES is always mixed with singing, you have to line up for the chance to sing in front of everyone, its expected, so at an early age we learn how to do it, practice by listening and singing over and over, we are encouraged to do it so for someone to be a singer back home YOU HAVE TO BE THE BEST OF THE BEST to make to the industry a n.v d besides children there are encouraged to have higher education, singing is just for fun, from MANHATTAN NEW YORK

    Growing up in the 70's we didn't have karaoke machines but our elementary school teachers encourages us to sing in front of our classmates by having a "program". I also remembered so vividly my 5th grade teacher teaching us the song Top Of The World by the Carpenters for a full hour until we were able to sing the entire song. Another opportunity to sing is during the Holy Week when we have to sing during "pabasa" which is a catholic devotion. Pabasa is an uninterrupted chant narrating the life, passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During Pabasa you have a chance to be creative with your singing because nobody would criticize you even if you find yourself out of tune. Plus singing contest during Fiesta is another great chance to shine and polish your singing voice. So, you are both correct when you mentioned that the environment probably has major impact for most Filipinos to be a good singer or even a great singer if one ever pursue that career path. I really love both of your insights. Aloha

    Some hometown /city restaurants in the Philippines no longer hire singing groups or soloist. All you do as a resto owner is to buy a karaoke machine with a good sound system and a little stage. Leave everything to your resto guests because they will just entertain themselves. Filipinos are even willing to pay and line up just to sing and show their talents ( even some that don't have) and just have some fun.

    Here in the Philippines, you will rarely see Filipinos who doesn't know how to sing. We love singing, it's our way of releasing our stress, pressures, sadness and most of the time we sing just to enjoy life. Never ever give a mic to a Filipino coz he/she will definitely nail any song. Music has been part of our daily life. Happy singing!!

    What i love with the artists now in the Philippines is that they now realize that entertainment business is not all they could focus on. A lot who didn’t study went back to study after earning. And kids continues to study. Of course not all. But most of the successful artists in the Philippines values education and finds a fallback. So a lot also have their own business and investments.

    Sometimes its through peer pressures why others will just have to sing especially if there will be gathering, most particularly with friends. Like, if you are going to have a karaoke trip if you will not sing others would say "Unfair" or others will have to say "just go home if you won't sing" that's why sometimes everyone has an equal opportunity to sing along. Others, because of that, just discovered they have the talent or if not others will discover that you have a hidden talent... So fun here in the Philippines especially in terms of doing karaoke every single time we have gatherings or even if there aren't!!! 😂😂🙏🙏😅❣️❤️

    From the very start, in school, we are told that copying is not good. LOL! Singing, music, the arts, in general, is such a Filipino lifestyle and having artists that are so good, what better examples to copy from, and copy these children do, and, they are very good at copying. That’s why even without formal training they sound so good and mature. Just look at who they copy.

    Singing is part of Filipino culture way back in the Spanish era. In fact, until the late '70s, males serenade the woman they courted. In the absence of a guitarist, acapella was the normal trend. Music industries nowadays just open opportunities to those who wanted to pursue a singing career. We simply love music. It's part of our lives we cannot live without. Plain and simple.

    i think the reason why filipino can sing so good even on an awkward position and do belts or runs because we simply do it on daily basis while washing dishes, playing computer or sports , lying down exercising it doesnt matter what we are doing. we listen to the song and sing it, as if we are the one who is singing , we immitate it passiontely.. it includes how their feelings are projected on the song we are listening

    Why do people always say 90% of Filipinos are singers? For me only 15% are s-tier singers who will make you amazed, 15% are a-tier who will also please your ears, 40% b-tier who can carry a tune, you might appreciate their singing but you will not going to be amazed that much. 30% are either shy people or just plain clappers lol.

    Even if you're not a good singer or you are out of tune, is not an issue especially if you are singing with friends and family. Yes there are a few people who will raise their eyebrows (the perfect ones), but most of the time the people around will cheer you on and sing with you. People will laugh with you not at you because you are probably the first one to laugh at yourself for messing up. Just sing and have fun doing it.

    Ranking Indian female singers "according to their fame & sm. extra"
    1 . Neha Kakkar : she is the face of India right now , & have plenty of songs on the list of billions (4/5) . Whatever she touches becomes gold , it's just like that. Her attitude , gratitude made her even more famous. No-one can replace her. What she sings , becomes iconic ( perhaps a history).
    2. Shreya ghoshal : she is the legend of modern era . She served about 20 years in the industry & have the highest (perhaps countless) awards in her bag. Her first debut for national award (same as Grammy of India) she is the only female singer of india , who have wax statue on madam tresauds ) . There is also a holiday in the honour of her (by the US iguess).
    3 . Dhvani bhanushali ( she debuted her career in 2017 . & Her appearance also her music is so good that she got fame overnight. She also have 2/3 songs with billion views
    4.Sunidhi Chauhan (she is a well known & honoured singer. She & Shreya are of same era . & Her voice is different than Shreya . She have uniqueness in her voice , so she got popular )
    5. Palak mucchal : She have got so soothing voice . She could be called the "vocal rich version of Shreya". She also got 1/2 song in the billion list . "Kaun tujhe is one of them "
    6. Monali thakur : she have the sweetest voice & probably most western voice in Bollywood. She have sung "dangerous woman " in a singing show. She also got national award . She is too perfect at classical .
    7. Kanika Kapoor : there was a time (2013-16) kanika was too famous. She has given many hits songs for that era .
    8. Astha gill : She have also plenty of hits . Her most of the songs crossed 300 millions. Also she have surpassed 5/600 millions . She started in 2013 , & latest hit is "pani pani ".
    Neeti mohan : she is also a great singer. & Well renowned. Her many songs literally starvs for "vocal texture" . Her famous songs are "Jiya re " & "Naino waale ne" . & Many more
    I think I've missed some 3-4 singers that im unable to rank.
    There are also many female singers like
    Shilpa rao - Song "ghungrol"
    Harshdweep kaur - Song "Dilbaro"
    Fun fact , according to pitch perfectness & skill the rank may be like this :
    1 . Shreya
    2. Monali
    3. Sunidhi
    4.palak & neeti
    5 Neha & Kanika (because they have different style , they don't need to use classical singing throughout their songs . But " they've high notes efficiency (retaining their voice texture)

    There in the end of the video you can see how children in the Philippines gets there natural predisposition in singing. The ears of babies as well as the brain develops early on during pregnancy, if the baby is exposed to their mother singing beautifully like that, the baby will definitely hear that although their brain can't still process that but it will have an impact and will be ingrained to their sub conscious and will most definitely bear a child with a natural predisposition to singing.

    Filipinos love to sing. It's innate for us. It doesn't mean though that all Filipinos can carry a tune. It's just that so many are really talented without proper training. And we do love our ballads and most of them are difficult songs. Filipinos learn from imitation.

    Some of us just naturally born with musical talents but some of us like me. Our parents does not want us to become a singer. They want us to study and find a job eventually. So singing just became a hobby. They like hearing our voice during every occasion but in the reality they doesn't want to hear us singing everyday. So people like me could only sing when there is a party and that is at least once a month. I could not blame them because I have very loud voice. I could sing even without a microphone and people could still hear me clearly. In short some of us are just born with this talent but are not privilege to become a singer. ❤️

    Hi guys, in The Philippines, children don't notice it or aware of it themselves initially , they may just like music lovers and they would sing and maybe in the family or someone somewhere would notice that the child /children can sing therefore has the talent and let them know and encourage them, thus the child/ children is/are now aware, to some it give them the boldness to sing whenever there's an opportunity, not everyone in The Philippines can afford to own a karaoke machine, that is why you see a lot singing in malls in front of stores where this machines are sold! then they are exposed and seen for their talent! and this is not limited to children, but adults as well! unfortunately I am not one of those who can sing like them! (ha ha ha ha ha ha), thank you for your analyses, I learn a lot fro them!

    when you're on your 3rd bottle of redhorse, you just won't let go of the song book. you start picking songs you are not suppose to pick because red horse has provided you the power and confidence. I prefer songs from Aegis and Jaya during this times btw. after a long wait in line, it's finally the time for your song. then you start to sing, you suddenly know the proper breathing and techniques to nail the song. your voice starts to get better and better as you open more red horse. the crowd will also cheer you up and sing along with you. then you do it all over again on your next pay day. I guess that's the fun part when you put red horse beer and a karaoke machine together here in the 🇵🇭🇵🇭

    Filipinos live like any other Asian countries, since we’re poor and developing, most of us still believe that studies is what would take you far. So, most children would be pushed to finish their studies first while singing or making music or whatever else as a hobby then after graduating, if they still want to do that, we let them (or at least that’s generally from the people I know).

    There are restaurants that have karaoke machines open to the public. You only need to drop a 5-peso coin to the machine then code in your song. The mic would go the rounds, one song per table. Some restaurants have bands and towards the end of their set, sometimes they let someone from the audience jam with them. There are establishments that offer rooms where a group can hold their celebrations and the main draw would be the big karaoke machine. Usually one can rent this room for 3 hours. The rent fee is actually the room plus the food and drinks you order. If the food and drinks you consumed is greater than the rent fee, then they would allow you to extend your time in the room accordingly.
