Looks like you can take Conqueror and beat Darius with the new Garen! Be advised, if you die early, you may have to forfeit the rest of the matchup.
Please do explain to people that they can't build Phantom Dancer and Sterak's Gage together because of the same unique passive.

I mean, he could, but that doesn't help the players that don't read item description anyways. They are not winning games if they don't and if they are, they are being carried. Besides right now PD is superior on Garen due to lower cost and the amount of dmg it provides for his E. The movement is excellent as well.

@@KasperG87 PD is better in certain situations, however Sterakks is significantly tankier so it depends on what garen needs to be that game (A tanky champ or a damage bruiser). If you build BC instead of Tri first, then you open yourself up to spending more on a second item as well.

The way he constantly recalls and then backs out at the last second is infuriating
There is some strategy to it though. If he decides he actually wants to back, he doesn't have to wait for the full channel. Additionally, he can sometimes bait out aggressive plays from enemies trying to cancel his recall.
@@ozfan6 Yeah I realized that, but he didn't explain it at all and he would regularly go like "oh wait! maybe...." etc and it drove me up a wall. Not that that makes him a bad person or a bad gamer, it's a great strategy!

Darius doesn't bully. How do you play Garen? If he apprehends you, you just w, q and proc conqueror with your spin and back out. You win the trade.

But why sheen before stinger though? Main source of damage is now E and not Q, you also dont benefit from the extra mana, cant get an AA off during your spin, youd benefit from the extra AS more wouldnt you? And they both provide CDR, i must be missing something? I cant think of a reason to build sheen before stinger is all :s
Well, for one, Darius can tank damage even with stinger, and AS isnt that much yet at that point, thats why he wanted the burst
green hmmm itd be more efficient to Q after E then as E shreds armor away (sooner with AS) else your burst is mitigated more if you lead with that instead, leading to a net loss, but this only really applies to an all in situation, if you are just planning to harass down with multiple Q’s before an all in, i could see the merit then

Ayaya think ghost is typically the best option, unless ignite is specific to Garen

radi probably a nerf to his attack speed per level or spin damage. Or they might remove 1 tick. I’m waiting on the PBE update to find out.

Garen with Ignite can 1v1 Darius at lvl 1 without Ignite. Garen is stronger than Darius at lvl 2. From lvl 3 Darius will win all trades even if you are ahead, but you can actually trade with him if you are smart and there are situations where you can kill him. Then around 11-12 you can fight him straight up if he is not ahead or fed.
I agree with u in the early game. But in the mid game, when Garen has two items like the video (sorry i dont know the english name of this item), and maybe 1 small item to make bloody pain(reduce health gain, like ignite)/ darius has no chance to face with garen.
@@nguyenson-vy4tw the reason why Darius wins midgame trades is two fold, his hemmorage hurts too much and you don't have enough HP before about level 11 to mitigate that. The second is that Darius can use his pull defensively and he can wreck your armor faster than you shred his.
Finally his ult kicks in faster than Garen's. Darius can reliably ult for kill at around 30% HP from lvl 6.
And even if you don't die to his ult and somehow get away, hemmorage will finish you off.
Darius is always stronger than garen even if garen have ignate but darius need speed he need ghost if darius buy black clever the game is end he can kill a garen with to more items than him

Just played against the new garen with camille. His sustain is fked, why was he able to out-trade me sheen to his ruby xtal AND THEN heal it all back up in a matter of 20 seconds anyway?
Cannot trade with him, cannot get an efficient back in because his wave clear is bonkers. All i could do was wait for my jg to bail me out JUST so i could go back. missed minions for it. Ohh and did i mention he will farm everything in a single second meaning you wont ever get a chance to outscale him?
You're a Garen one-trick. Why is your csing so bad? You let Judgement tick on the minions under tower so you got none of them. If you didn't let it tick, you would get all of them. You weren't under threat... you just missed them. This kind of thing happened multiple times while I watched this.
I think they went too much over with the "It's a champion for new players" they buffed too much him. I mean he has silence, remove slow and cc, and has that ignite R that sucks to play against. They should force the player to build an atk speed item like graves, then put some hp. It's not fun to see garen ignoring all minions and go on a darius like he is a minion. They have to nerf his hp and armor lvl 1 and his growth at least. or remove silence but they won't remove silence.

Too bad he’s going to get nerfed in 9.21
They won't be removing conquerer, per se. They'll be removing the true damage it does, upping the stacking damage, and I think they'll keep the healing. So conquerer will still be pretty decent on Garen, but he'll fall off unless you alter the build. I think it's possible to build the new upcoming sanguine blade on him along with triforce and phantom dancer, though, since it's gonna be a lethality splitpush item that gives you increased attack speed when nobody else is in the lane you occupy (which means more e procs and better waveclear).
I'm expecting people to build at least one lethality item and/or an armor-pen item on him if they decide to keep using conquerer.
Titanic hydra also got fixed recently and I think it's overall stronger, so building press-the-attack titanic hydra with triforce, phantom dancer, death's dance and sanguine blade and taking alacrity could potentially be pretty damn good if you go overgrowth as your secondary.
Just spitballing here, but I think PTA garen is gonna make a comeback once they finally give conquerer a much-needed mini-rework.
is Overgrowth a good rune? Ever since it got giga nerfed from % to flat hp i haven't used it.
Unless the in game text is incorrect, as well as me missing one of the patches, overgrowth now gives both flat and % hp, 3 flat hp per 8 minions that die near you and 3.5% max hp after 120 minions dying near you.

It's a good rune. It's slightly nerfed when it comes to tanks if you don't build at least one hp item earlier on (to make full use of the % buff once you hit 120 minions), but it's a lot better for less tanky characters who use it such as lissandra or tank supports who build mostly utility early, as it doesn't require a high base health to give you benefits early on.
On characters that have good base health or who gain health over time like chogath and sion, it's basically a necessity. Especially sion. On sion, it's insane.

My garren build wich has helped me climb is starting item dorians (shield or sword and a pot) beserkers boots as a first ithem into trinity into any other atack speed item into deaths dance into spirits visage into stereks gage its got sustain damage and is pretty broken the tire 2 boots at the start gives movement spd and atack speed atack speed is better than ad early game as more spins mean more dmg but i so far have gotten 7 wins in a row carrying 1v9 4 games going 15-20+ kills id u dont belive me use my strat
Rune presision conquror with tenacity coup de grasse w the flag one (forgot its name) 2nd rune is the green one with bone plate and the extra health (overgrowth?) Anyway conquror stacks w spin prety op the rest is sustain or extra damage but tenacity is important as if used with the w witch also gives tenacity you can escape stuns ect rly fast it allows 1v5's late game to be easyer

I feel like PD is a trap item; while damage wise it is really good, it makes Garen not tanky enough at all, that plus Garen's W's nerf, I think you can't afford to go PD every game, Sterak is far more consistent for me.
Yeah I agree after testing that : the lack of tankiness in this building really hurted me in teamfights.

nice vid. I have noticed that whoever gets the first blood at top, usually wins the laning phase.
Its because its bruiser v bruiser, where when one gets an advantage its much easier to zone away from cs and punish mistakes when ahead. Mid lane can usually just neutralise outside of assassin v assassin. Bot lane can also swing based on first blood but because of ranged champs its harder to zone away from cs without jungle pressure as you have to overextend usually to do so.
Even with the kills he was still losing due to being 20+ cs behind at all times till hec saved his lane not to mention in his first 3 backs he wasted almost a minute and half just buying and somehow is diamond 1 is beyond me he has good awareness but he needs to pick up on a lot of things

Darius still wins early vs conq garen, however you actually scale harder than he does, so after you get lvl 4 with 1 dagger, you will win the shorter trade. Never go full all in before he is at 60% health. at lvl 6 you straight up win against him with ignite. He cannot be fighting use in melee if you have him at 60% health, because you will basically Q, AA, E, AA, ulti and he is dead with ignite.
It should also be added that right now, Garen's lvl 6 is a 100% kill if any toplaner stays with 60% health. In the video it seems darious is at 70% health even, so it is just the most OP champ right now for toplane. 1 0 0 % ! kill at lvl 6.... insane.

It's 50/50 now? Before you guys had items, I saw Darius land all of his abilities on you (which require some sort of aiming) and you still out traded him. You have nothing to aim. Not sure it's really fair.
