The "Fun" fact which isnt really fun at all: 4:38 His W damage applies 1 frame before I press Q, but the slow applies slightly after the damage so my Q doesnt remove the slow and I almost die from it. Also, like the video :D

@@fabianlindberg7051 yea that might have worked. For some reason I thought he had R and in that case, his E into WQR might kill me.
But just connecting the Q and running to the tower with phase rush would most likely be fine.

from your VODs the problem with these rank 1 players is that they get so extremely confident in their own gameplay that when they're losing they simply refuse to recognize their own errors and just default to "broken champion". it's hilarious that a darius player can cry about not being able to beat garen early game when he just ran it down on like 2 all-ins under tower

@@draculemihawk10 Bro who cares about the match up. Garen is better in general into a lot of match up currently compare to Darius. He is even picked at worlds and dominated. Also Garen is way easier to play and has close to literally no counterplay. There is nothing to dodge on this champ, you only win if you are stronger that him. You can still dodge Darius Q's and beat him, against Garen you just need to stat check him or you lose. Also all this ADC items benefit him and you can't even kite him too. At least he was slower previous seasons.

@@gen.tucker6024not any true. Lvl 16 Darius if not being focused will oneshot entire team with 1.5k true damage R recets. So many times I got camped to 0/7, 0/10 and then made almost penta in tfs

@@FrenzyGamingTV Haven't seen Garen players waiting lvl 1 in a bush and ghost to rundown their opponent in the middle of the wave as soon as they see him, either get first blood or hard win the trade, then deny farm for the rest of the laning phase.
But right now Garen is rly strong so yeh they can't complain much

And this is not a low elo cheese, if you watch Adam in soloQ he finds ways to force lvl 1 extended trades even in GM - Challenger (btw his OPGG says that his Darius stomped Erislash Garen yesterday and I'd love to see the VoD of this game)

Also I am learning a lot by watching you. Had to play against a master Gwen OTP yesterday (I am low Emerald). Usually I hard lose this matchup but after watching you for the last year, I was able to destroy her in lane and carry the game. Probably also helped that Garen is OP right now, but I still felt I played it well

As for the build, I dont really think its that good because if you build thoes items its gonna take you a really long time to get some actual speed items which Garen really needs for macro and teamfighting. I understand that eclipse is good for short trades but Id rather go the meta build :D

I hate it when people don't own up to their mistakes and just say the other champion is broken and has no counterplay. First death he got FUNDAMENTALS'd and on the second he missed his E and didn't respect that he was in kill range. Like both deaths are your own fault, buddy, just take the L and learn from the experience...

Its depends on the matchup. Speed vs darius is one of the most important stats so I like to get boots early. Its harder for him to 100-0 you if you just run away :)

Why do you auto E when trading against darius and use your Q to run away/go on the inner part of his Q? Why don't you just AA Q E everytime and proc phase rush?
Its a slightly safer way to trade into darius. With aa Q E to proc phase rush, he will run with you and hook you back in after the silence ends and then you are stuck close to him without Q or phase rush. If you instead aa E and then Q his W slow and into his Q before quickly running away, you still have speed from Q to run away and if he hooks you back in, you just connect the Q to proc phase rush and then you can escape with a good trade.
