I love Ty but he shouldn't have left her. This made no sense. Especially while she was pregnant and needed him and he is going to instead go and help horses in Mongolia?
Amy demands that Ty call her at least twice before he even gets to Mongolia. She then looks forward to her regular scheduled call (it had to be every day or two) from Ty when he was gone. Yet, when she was off traveling in Europe with Ahmed, despite promising Ty that she would call him just as often, she rarely did. With this being the case, dare I say that she rarely even thought of him in a loving way while she was gone. No one treats someone they love like that. Telling him that it was because of the strange "timezones" was a ridiculous excuse and revealed how little importance he was to her. Ty should have seen this as a big red flag about Amys true feelings for him. Those feelings were simply indifferent. She apparently loved him only because of how much he loved her. That is not the type of love that relationships are built upon. Unfortunately, she got away it and didnt face any real critiicism from Ty, Jack or Lou for treating Ty this way. I am sure part of the reason she didnt call was that she didnt want to answer questions about what she had done recently. THe answer would have always be the same which was that she and Ahmed had visited some tourist spot or had gone to some other activity together. She knew that would not look good to her family. It is no wonder she couldnt bring herself to kiss Ty when she came home. We later learned that another reason she didnt want to talk with Ty was because she didnt want to help him make any firm plans or decisions about buying the ranch or making marriage plans. Based on Tys statement that he couldnt get her to agree on anyting , it seems that she refused to give her approval to put an offer on the ranch or make any firm marriage plans. Everything was on hold. The reason is because she didnt know if she wanted to marry him or break up and go seek a new career with the support of her new sugar daddy boss Ahmed. Never forget that actions speak louder than words . Amys actions were always about herself and rarely about others. Wouldnt it have been great if Ty had jumped out of the cab after it drove off a bit and runs back to Amy and says he cant leave her? That is truly how he felt but Amy couldnt let him sacrifice for her when she had the opportunity to tour Europe without trying to do the same for him when he had the opportunity to work in Mongolia.

Would you treat your finance that way and / or be so accepting of him if he did that to you? In reality, the HL storyline is that Amy ends up treating this European Tour as her one last chance to really decide if she wants a life with Ty or not. She is definetly having her doubts and she usually did, her me first personality was causing her to consider chosing a professional career over a life with Ty. Remember, this all happened only a matter of 4-6 months (?) after she told Ty that she didnt want to marry him, yet. Ty was crazy to ask her again so soon. Amy admitted to the girl hitchhiker that she seriously considered a career on the European tour training horses. She said it in a way that was clear that if she made that decision she would not be with Ty. Besides loving Ahmeds constant attention, praise and the lavish lifestyle he provided , this is what Amy was thinking about when she was in Europe. No wonder she didnt want to talk to Ty and couldnt kiss him when she came home. When Amy actually made that decision to stay with Ty (not work in Europe) we dont know. The one thing we do know is that she was still considering cancelling her engagment when she first came home. For arguments sake, lets just say that this decision was likely made around the time when she told Ahmed that she couldnt work for him anymore. When she galloped Sparten up to Tys trailor with a very confrontational look on her face she looks down at her wedding ring. It is very likely that Amy went there to give Ty his ring back and cancel the engagement. The only thing that stopped her was Caleb drove up to Tys trailer so she had to turn around. Was she about to change her mind again and go back to Ahmed? Very likely. In the end, their relationship was saved only because Ty once again forgave Amy without her admitting any fault or apologizing for anything. That is Amys me first personality in full force.
