      Nice one Stephen, yeah the rig is a very versatile one indeed and although works well on this session really comes into its own when the rivers open as allows you to leave one rod set up ad be able to tackle all river from bream on a slow one to dace on a fast, nice rig. Deffo felt like summer was here yesterday sat fishing the waggler for what ever come along, carp slurping in the edges and rampaging pike, was a fun day. tight lines mate;-)

    Good no nonsense vid Danny , nice roach , and good to use a keepnet on a pleasure session , can't do that much these days around us.

      super rare round here as well mate, on the commercial scene its almost non existent the use of nets outside matches, one commercial cheshire fishing you saw on channel last year just closed. Luckily plenty of free and club waters still do

      @@DannysAnglingBlog Strange that when you ask an owner why he only allows keepnets in matches they always answer its for the good of the fish so by their own words they are admitting that the attitude in matches is bugger the fish we want the money from matches. Sad isnt it ?

      Does baffle me mate, why you go commercials and there not just allowed anyway, of all the places you would think they would be allowed .

    Nice vid there seems to be a nice stamp of roach in that lake. I like your rig and the funny thing is that today i went out and bought a Korum running rig kit which uses anti tangle sleeves, if i had watched this before i would have just gone with this rig that you use.

      Cheers mark glad you enjoyed it mate, good solid rig mate for feeder fishing, not always as simple as bolt syle for roach and bigger loop for bream but its not far from it most of the time. tight lines mate

    Nice rig dan, i use a helicoptor rig with a 20gm feeder and a short hooklink for tench bream and roach, but i like the fact that you can play about with the bolt effect, nice vid again dan best of luck with the next session

    • @DannysAnglingBlog
      @DannysAnglingBlog  6 років тому

      cheers chris, the helicopter is one i was looking at recently with regards some tench fishing with maggots, very interesting and looks tangle free. This rig in this i have to admit comes into its own on the river, when you are swapping week to week from venues that are slow with bream to ones that are full of dace, means can leave same set up made up and as you say have functionality at the change of a float stop. tight lines matey glad you enjoyed the video

    Nice bag roach there mate,sounds like its still a bit cold not as active as you wpuld wont them to be. That must be a good water to fish in the summer months danny. Enjoyed the video mate keep em comimg al keep watching. Iain wilson scotland.

      yeah matey nin warmer months you can begin to target them on the float, just not warm enough for them to be in range at the moment although this weekend will have helped!. Issue in summer is the resident carp that also live maggots, avoiding these is difficult. Glad you enjoyed the videos mate tight lines matey

    Good rig that’s the same rig I use all the time only difference I may adapt it into a 18 to 20 inch twizzled boom depending on the venue and conditions .

    Awesome video brother, love that feeder basket or chum pot as we call it. Was actually thinking on looking them up to buy to increase our chances as well and I can see yours had weight on it which is sweet so I can use those as a sinker plus chum pot lol.

    • @DannysAnglingBlog
      @DannysAnglingBlog  6 років тому

      cant see why not mate, you get them over here in weights up and above 5oz for the rivers and a lot make their own from hair curlers and just add lead to it. Great fun and way to get feed around your bait, getting the ground bait mix is essential if go deep venues to ensure mix gets to bottom before dispersing!! tight lines mate and thank you for commenting!!

    nice one danny ive still got my toby spinners got a silver one and a bronze one .caught plenty on mine mate.never had roach like them for years mate cormorants on the waters and nobody controling them mate down here in derby mate.

    • @DannysAnglingBlog
      @DannysAnglingBlog  6 років тому

      Cormorants a huge issue all over it seems, On last weeks video fishing for the carp in spring i turned up that day to 10-14 of them diving and hunting on this water, all through the piking in winter they have been up and down in front of me. Nature will find a balance of course but i fear the time it takes and damage they do some waters may never recover to their former years. Strangely enough the cormorants dont come on this water

    NIce one again Danny, and as usual great info on the rig, I dont do any feeder fishing besides carp at the moment, but this does make sense and it might trigger me to try this as well besides Carp and Pike

      Hi Frank, glad you enjoyed the video mate, up till last summer i had not done much feeder myself in the previous years, jamie harrison videos got me into it a bit more and getting out on the tip. Just little changes like going carp fishing and not taking two rods and a bite alarms but a feeder rod with heavy line and a method feeder. Couldn't do it every week as sitting back and chilling out it is not but from time to time good fun

    Had great fun with this rig yesterday. I was struggling with when to strike though. Got any plans in the future to do a feeder session and perhaps explain when to strike on a quivertip? Cheers.
