Hi i switch from flopy to usb emulator that came with a disk drive and putt music stiles on the usb card and it says that the usb nid to be formated can u give me a hand on that
I assume this is a way of adding a USB port to a system that is so old it does not have USB capability. Why would you want to run such an old system? Personally, I think it would be more useful to add a floppy drive to a new system running Win 7-8.
You miss the point, firstly there are people who keep running old systems as a hobbie, the second are CNC machines that cost Millions of dollars to replace but still work extremely well, its not work replacing them just to upgrade to windows 7 or 10. You get a floppy emulator the cost is nothing.
There are some machines, like Embroidery machines from Brother and Viking that used floppy drives to transfer designs from the computer to the machine, and the floppy drive on the machine is not working, so it needs to be replaced for the machine to be useful. That is one of the many reasons it has to be changed. I did it, am using a 1 GB USB drives, and the machine is up and running as new. And the cost of it was 69.99 USD for the floppy emulator, and 75.00 USD for the labor.
If I had watched this video first, I would never have bought an Emulator.
This is a totally depressing presentation of a very worthwhile component!
Excelente explicación, mil gracias, haré la prueba, un abrazo
What if the usb part breaks, anyway to still load designs asap?

Most commonly used on older digital pianos too - they are a pain in the ass to configure, but once done they work great.
