Few details about this flight:
Air India flight 102 takes off from New York's JFK at 15:00 but this particular flight was delayed by 45 mins. The duration of this flight is appox 14:30 hours. The timing of this flight is great as it lands in New Delhi at 15:00...perfect for any connecting flights you may have. JFK in general is a very busy airport so expect delays anyways. The good news on JFK is that it's seldom closed down for snow (winters) unlike Chicago!
Once airborn you are fed at regular intervals (three meals) and there is plenty of snacks and free soft drinks etc laid out for you to munch on. In this video, I document all the good and bad aspects of Air India.
One more aspects I liked was - The price of Air India flights are great a deal.
Sure it does not have the entertainment compared to Emirates; the fancy airports of say a British Airways or the spick and span service of a Singapore Airlines...but in my opinion, Air India has the best value flight - great service for the price you pay.
I will get into more into the entire trip - which was Cleveland - Charlotte - LaGuardia - JFK - Delhi - Kolkata in my new episode of Long Haul Flight series.

I have to admit, when I read some of these posts prior to viewing your video, I was nervous when someone commented about the music. Usually, when a video director wanna-be includes music, it is done distastefully and completely inappropriate for the scenes. Not the case with your music, which is subtle, cheerful and certainly fits the movement within the cabin.
I also admire your positive attitude; if I was stuck in a coach seat (exit row or otherwise) for a 14 hour flight, I would not be so congenial.....

I went on the 777-300 from Chicago to Delhi on August 12 and the tickets cost about $850 each! This is much cheaper than the competition, the seats were roomy in economy. The entertainment system in our row was broken but I brought my own movies on my tablet so it was no big deal.
I'm so happy after watching this video, thanks to the creator for a positive comment on air India after all I'm an Indian

Thank you Rohan, I just couldn't get over the fact that you were going to perform the last rites for your dad who had passed away as you were getting into the aircraft and yet you were so calm and professional. Very good indeed and I did enjoy the flight with you. Happy Landings!!
Thanks. That's why its taken me two years to make the next one cos its all about this journey and how to deal with death. I cannot do more till I finish this one. So, its very tough but it has to be done. Thanks for your comments.

after taking this flight from JFK to DEL (Just came back from 4th trip on this route)... new planes and nice crew... 2 bags of 50 pounds is another big plus... not going back to Etihad / United...
