Thank you so much for taking us along - thank your lucky stars you are in the UK where you can take a day trip and find something worth looking at, plus get a pub lunch! Cheers! I Had my booster shot yesterday, as well as the flu shot - not letting anything get me if I can help it!
Hi Fiona - I had my flu jab yesterday and the pharmacist told me I'd get a text to book my booster Covid shot exactly six months after my last one, so should be mid-Nov :)
Loved that castle .i ve never been in a stately home. Really like watching you and your lovely husband. Its very refreshing to see a happy married couple who enjoy each others company these days .take care xx
Your days out are very enjoyable, I love the towns you visit, and the interesting snippets, even if Ashley is "not a bloody tourist"! 😉 It's nice to be a kind of tourist in your own country sometimes, though I am in the Republic of Ireland not the UK. I would love to visit the UK sometime. Looking forward to your next outing 🌻😊
Such a fun vlog, Caroline. Thanks so much to both you and Ashley. I love seeing pieces of the English countryside and the towns/villages. Take good care of yourselves. Blessings from California XXX
I enjoyed the trip to the castle with you both the grounds were fabulous you look great Caroline I love that Ashley is not a tourist its lovely that ye both have the same interests loved the vlog Caroline can't wait for the next one x
Hi Caroline /Ashley what a lovely day out - - the two of you together bring humor / knowlege and great entertainment to the vlogs that are produced - so my comments "keep up the good work" and keep the vlogs coming can't wait for the holiday videos
I’m off to Paignton next week to see a mate - haven’t been to Devon since I was a kid so I’m looking forward to it even though it’s going to be wet and windy! 😊 🌧
Thank you so much, this was a lovely day out. You cannot know how much I love your videos. Covid in my province in Canada is awful and I never go anywhere. I love England, don't know if I shall ever see it in person again, really grateful to you both.
Oh my goodness what a lovely video to wake up to castle and surrounds just beautiful thank you for sharing your day with us has cheered me up no end xo 😘 😘 😘 😘
Love your days out! That's what I really miss about Vic being in another location right now, we call them Family Field Trips and can't wait until he's back and we can go exploring again. What is the feeder you bought? The sound cut out a little and there was a glare so I couldn't read the label when you put it down.
What a great idea to do the days out videos especially the National Trust properties. Im in the NW so dont get to visit the places as far as your area. There are some fantastic places to visit. Look forward to seeing more of your days out. I agree with Ashley its not really a castle! But still interesting nevertheless.
So glad your having a great time, you deserve it after all the hard work you do for us. Thanks to you I enjoy shopping, even for everydays items more.💗😀💗
Good afternoon caroline, what a lovely day out and so very nice to bring us along, I so agree with Ashley after been jabed 2 times then getting covid 4 weeks ago and still feel exhausted I can not understand people not taking the vaccine I was so ill goodness no what I would have been like if I had not 😊😁
Some people due to their health are unable to take the vaccine. So it would be nice if they were considered just this once. I'm fed up with people ramming vaccine agendas and antivax slogans. Have a thought for the sick 😷 people maybe then this madness would finally stop!!!
Enjoyed that especially Chagford as I've been there, and remember the square (a tiny vegetable shop?) and the hardware store. Standard of driving - agree. Couldn't tell you the number of times recently someone has pulled out in front of me and then driven at a snail's pace with a clear road behind me!
💕😀xx thanks for the vlog Caroline. We visited Drogo this autumn for the third time. My grandmother Jane Facey, was married for a very short time to Adrian the eldest son of Julius Drewe before he died in the 1st. war then went on to marry my grandfather. The castle is beautiful now it was been newly renovated.
Oooh, how interesting about your grandmother - claim to fame! It's such a stunning building and location, we loved it. Looking forward to more National Trust excursions.
I have a couple of Prima Ballerina their perfume is beautiful, nasturtiums can be used in salads. Wow I haven’t seen a Messerschmitt since I was a child (a Dutch car)
We had a national trust membership in 2018/19. They are just fab. Thank you for showing us the castle. Lovely property. I liked the music used while you where driving the country roads too. Its awful when there isnt enough space to get two cars through. One thing I dont like about English country roads, wish councils would do something about it. No wonder you have the biggest tallest car. I would also feel safer in one of them. Fab day out, thank you for taking us with you! Xx
We spent many years living in villages up single lane roads so I got used to them over time, but I must say I don't miss them now we live closer to town.
They were originally country lanes for horses and carts, I think. I guess the practicalities of widening these country roads (privately owned land, funds available, houses that sit right next to the lanes) would make it impossible to do.
Love Drogo….especially the link with the owner who was the owner of Home and Colonial stores…bet locals loved a supermarket king building a castle here.
Lol; I laughed out loud with Ashley’s quip about the zoo and going to visit your relatives because that’s exactly what my husband says whenever we take our grandsons to the zoo, “boys, we are going to visit nana’s relatives in the zoo.”
Absolutely brilliant you taking us along.Thank you.👍💐☕
Hello Caroline. I hope you are well. Very much enjoyed our trip out with you and Ashley...always interesting and funny. Thank you both. x
That garden was incredible! Omg that little playhouse was so sweet! Great village too…thanks for sharing your day out with us🥰🇨🇦🤗
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved this, such a lovely day out.
What a beautiful place to visit! I just ordered a doll house for my great granddaughter…nothing like that one though! Really interesting building.
I loved this vlog and Ashley made me laugh at the end, thank you for sharing.. x
I do love these trips out apart from the gorgeous locations there is the humour
He’s such a quip your hubby. It was a lovely day out . I’m off to Kew Gardens on Saturday with a friend Thanks for sharing Caroline. Ashley x
I'd love to go to Kew, it's on my bucket list. Have a lovely day x

How lovely to see you out and about, looking very well. Old England is such a beautiful place. Lovely video God bless you and keep you safe 💕
Loving these days out Xx😘
When you fast forward the drive down the “wrong” side of the road it gives me quite the strange feeling! 😳🇨🇦
Haha, I know exactly what you mean!

I really enjoy seeing parts of England. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
What a fantastic day out, lol. The castle looked like it should’ve been a set for Poirot with David Suchet.
It would be such a good film set, you're right.

Hope you have a lovely time :)
Nice day out loved the castle and the little village 😊
Thank you 🤗
I love that "I'm not a bloody tourist." It reminds me of Gladys Cooper in Now Voyager (1942) saying to her daughter "we are not commercial travelers."
I've never seen that, but I feel I need to!
Great, thankyou both, l will be going to the castle soon. X
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you so much, this was a lovely day out. You cannot know how much I love your videos. Covid in my province in Canada is awful and I never go anywhere. I love England, don't know if I shall ever see it in person again, really grateful to you both.

Love your days out! That's what I really miss about Vic being in another location right now, we call them Family Field Trips and can't wait until he's back and we can go exploring again. It's a bird feeder for fat balls. Hope you've had a lovely time with Vic after so long apart, Pamela :)
Another lovely vlog You make the best Caroline.
Thanks so much 😊

Sorry to hear that, Kim, hope you're on the mend now.
@@CarolineMrsM thank you Caroline, I'm getting there but left with an awful cough but iv to think my self lucky I'm getting better 😊

Gorgeous Wendy house.

Yes, you're right about the tiny veg shop - still there!

Ashley gives me a great laugh
Why do your roads narrow down in places where cars can’t go two abreast? I would think there would be many wrecks.
Fun visiting the castle.
They were originally country lanes for horses and carts, I think. I guess the practicalities of widening these country roads (privately owned land, funds available, houses that sit right next to the lanes) would make it impossible to do.
Your husband cracks me up
Love Drogo….especially the link with the owner who was the owner of Home and Colonial stores…bet locals loved a supermarket king building a castle here.
Ha, I hadn't thought of it that way, but yes, you're right, I bet they did!!
Lol; I laughed out loud with Ashley’s quip about the zoo and going to visit your relatives because that’s exactly what my husband says whenever we take our grandsons to the zoo, “boys, we are going to visit nana’s relatives in the zoo.”
