    Cooking time: 150 minutes
    INGREDIENTS:
    Pea groats - 2 cups
    Pork meat (shoulder) - 600-700 gr
    Bulb - 1 pc.
    Carrot - 1 pc.
    Butter - 50 gr
    Vegetable oil - 50 ml
    Sugar - 1 heaping teaspoon
    Laurel leaf - 1pc (optional)
    Salt, ground black pepper - to taste.
    Cooking:
    Prepare all ingredients.
    Rinse the peas until clear water and soak for 12-18 hours with two glasses of water.
    Rinse the meat, cut into pieces convenient for you. I don't cut big.
    Peel onions and carrots. Finely chop the onion. Carrots in half circles or cubes as a salad.
    Fry carrots in a pan with vegetable oil until a beautiful blush, add onion to it. Saute over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until onion is translucent. Add the meat pieces to the vegetables and fry until the meat juice appears.
    Put butter on the bottom of the pot, fry onions, carrots and meat, salt, black pepper (optional), granulated sugar, bay leaf. Place the soaked peas on top and pour 2 cups of hot water over it. Close the pot with a lid.
    Send the dish to a cold oven, turning on the heat to 200C, until the liquid in the pot boils (about 30 minutes). Lower the heating temperature to 150C and simmer in the oven for 90-110 minutes.
