We are looking at a brood mamma. I am debating on whether or not to get a kennel. She lives on a Grey farm where she is in a more of a dog pen than a cage. What would you suggest.

Adam, it's so funny you used the word "debating," because I recently wrote a HUGE article just for people who are grappling with the whole crate thing. I'm sure you'll find info there that is helpful: greyhoundhomecare.com/my-greyhound-hates-the-crate-you-can-win-the-great-crate-war/

We adopted a gorgeous greyhound just before xmas last year, she is doing very well although extremely quite and timid. I have recently noticed a loss of hair from the tops of her rear legs, I believe this is called "bald thigh syndrome" There does not appear to be any actual treatment for this problem although I have included oatmeal in her diet as suggested by others.
Does anyone have experience with this problem and found any solutions ? I am suspecting it may have something to do with her diet although I am following the recommendations as far as she will eat them.

If your area is headed into a warmer season, she may be shedding, turning thin spots into bald spots. My greys usually shed in April and October, but Lily's started early this year!
I just wrote an article that gives a good breakdown of what goes on inside the dog, that results in bald thighs. A couple of the more promising remedies are toward the bottom of the article:
