Replacing Rear Lower Control Arm 2012 Ford Fusion

In this video I walk you through replacing the rear lower control arms in a 2012 Ford Fusion. This procedure is similar if not the same for 2006-2012 Ford Fusions.

Best part is you do this on the ground with simple tools not like these shops with car lifts and air tools. We skip them videos. Also you explain every step.

At 7:30 you have that plastic piece that goes below the spring, just did my control arms and threw it out by mistake (should’ve watched this vid first)
I am actually hearing a clunking sound from the springs now unfortunately, am I able to buy that part alone? If so do you know the name of it?
Such a shame to pay $150 for a new control arm and not have that piece included.

Nice video! Would u also replace the springs on an '08 with 145k miles(MKZ)? Getting alot of inside tire wear.

Just make sure your rear tires are straight up and down. No need for alignment unless you wanna waste your money

Can I ask why you took the upper control arms out? I just replaced my shocks and upper control arms, the lowers will be in tomorrow, but I had 9 kinds of hell lining up my spindle thing with the new upper control arm on the driver side. Passenger wasn't bad but I don't want to unbolt this again and I've already got the lower one out and I didn't have to take the upper off again to get it out so is there a reason you did or not really? I just wanna make sure I won't have a hard time getting the new one on lol

The second bolt above the sway bar link is stuck for me, how were you able to get that out?

What are the signs that the rear lower control arms are bad?,did you get a metal to metal sound while driving and a vibration from the rear??

i just had mine replaced due to the bushings being bad and causing the rear to shake
