I'm doing my part. I'm buying all these fighting game collections on Steam. Doing it for a few reasons. Biggest reason is adding it permanently to my collection, if these games are taken down again, I can still play them. I also want to support game preservation the right way, voting with my wallet tells these companies there is profit to be made making these classic games available again. And finally, the nostalgia trip is a big incentive for me to want to play these games again. If they make more then I'll buy more. Also can't wait to play Power Stone again in the next Capcom Collection.
Yes I’m always telling my friends irl to vote with their wallet (if they’re complaining about Star Wars under Disney for example or something gaming related) I also plan on supporting this collection a lot, I have digital & physical on ps4 & I’m gonna get it physical again on Switch & the Xbox next year :)
I actually bought two copies of MVC Collection, one physical and one digital because the main goal for us fans is for these collections to sell a lot that it could green-lit new entries in these fighting game series
Wow I totally forgot about those, I never played them growing up but I’ve heard of them before, those would make a lot of sense if they’ll be adding the 3d games
SNK has given us the KOF 97 Global match, KOF 98 Ultimate Match and 2002 Unlimited plus XIII Global match… what we need is collection of their 3D games
I got the MVC collection for my Switch, and I'm having maximum fun with it (Especially MVC1)! Since I have the MVC collection, I no longer need Fightcade or FBNEO as I now have this collection. As for Fighting Collection 2, I'm more excited about Power Stone 1 & 2, Plasma Sword, and Project Justice than CVS 1 & 2, SFA3U and CFE.
Yes it’s so much fun offline, there’s also a training mode that shows you the characters hit boxes if you really wanna get better or train with your gf! :)
You deserve more subs brother, great video! I remember growing up I would put an ungodly amount of time into Marvel Vs CAPCOM 3 on 360 with my brother. I yearn for that game to come back
Honestly i love these collections. I got the street fighter and marvel vs capcom collections on my ps5. I was so excited to finally own the marvel vs capcom games since i only play them in the arcade and couldn't afford the ports (also not good with emulators). Im glad capcom is rereleasing these arcade classics to people like me who wanted to play but never could, and it allow me to play stuff like darkstalkers and marvel vs capcom 2 for the first time. Im excited for capcom fighting game vol 3 since i heard great things about power stones and ive never got a chance to play it before
Same here! Well I got it digitally so I could play already but I also have my physical version ordered & I plan on getting it again on The Switch & Xbox next year! 🤙🏼
FYI for fighting games in particular, unfortunately WiFi isn't an option. For a smooth online match, both players need to have their consoles/PCs directly connected via wired Ethernet to their respective routers. From there, it's not absolutely necessary for either player to use a wired vs wireless controller, but a wired controller is a "nice to have" that can make the experience even better.
@NikkoNikko98 OK. Just wanted to mention since you said that you were worried about you or your friends' "WiFi connections." If you're wired via Ethernet but your friend is on WiFi, it won't feel smooth. Wish it wasn't the case since most gamers just understandably use WiFi for convenience, but with MvC2 it's really important since it's just such a fast game (e.g. multiple characters have 1- and 2-frame normals, as well as several 1- and 0-frame/instant supers).
4:47 I'm just going to tell you straight up, speaking as a Wi-Fi Warrior, you need to get *_wired_* for this game. The best way to play fighting games this fast is on ethernet.
Can’t lie I was excited but pissed for this collection to drop after buying the arcade cab. I grew up playing the games in the arcade so that’s where my nostalgia lies. Always dreamed of having it on console and missed out. I now own both the arcade and this collection. $50 for the arcade collection is an absolute steal when they could’ve just sold MVC2 alone for that price. Upset but grateful that I now own all of the MVC’s on console (save for infinite because I was not interested). Excited for the next collection.
They could make a shmup collection (Gunbird, Cannon Spike, 1942's), Platformers (would love to see Stider 2 somewhere), or even a sequel to the Beat-em-up collection (D&D and AVP)
I also got the beat em up collection I forgot to mention that one I hope they make a physical version of it, a shmup collection would be great too I’d definitely buy that! :)
Fortunately for the shooter-ups, I think you're going to have to rely on capcom's arcade stadium. But for my money, the best way to play 1942 is at the arcade. That game is awesome
@@esmooth919 It's awesome in the CAPCOM Arcade Stadium too! So is ECO Warriors and 19XX an' well a LOT of shooters honestly. Legendary Wings is a Classic......
I looked up bloody roar to find out Hudson soft made them. Looked up their games to see what a collection would look like. Basically bloody road an bombed man. I don’t see a bloody roar collection ever happening in the future.
My friends made me kinda regret buying the Marvel Collection because its just d fancy emulator made by Capcom, but all those games have been D-listed and cant be played on anything other than am emulator.
Snk is way ahead of you. They were already dropping collections and rereleases since the start of the ps4. All the offline ps2 rereleases, Fatal Fury Archives, art of fighting anthology, king of fighters collection, fu’un super combo, adk dakashi. And then all their online rereleases Garou, KoF 97,98,02, Last Blade 2, Samsho Collection. Qbyte rereleased Breakers and now they’re rereleasing Rage of Dragons and those were on neo geo but not published by snk.
As for Capcom fighting collection 3 all that’s really left is the first rival schools, the first star gladiator, tech romancer, the ex games and Saturday night slammasters 1&2.
If you were looking for “the best” version of MvC2, you want the Dreamcast version, not the PS2 version. The PS2 version may be rare, but it’s the most inferior port of the game by far.
I don't even think we need anything further after the recent MvsC games and the upcoming Fighting Collection 2. There's no other games that's worth remastering on console.
Yeah I’m pretty ignorant to what’s left but if you look through the comments a lot of people have left other games that can definitely make up another collection 👀
