I have a set of 35" XTR370 tires on S3 beadlock wheels. Anything over 40mph feels like the car is going to fall apart from the tire imbalance. Does anyone else have that same experience?
Me and friend both have the 370. Mine x3 his RZR pro. Over 50 feels like I’m starting to float and drift too much to feel comfortable. Great Apocalypse tire, they take a lot of abuse but not a nick on them.
No entirely unrelated. Any 35 will break the stock driveshaft which is about as thick as a piece of aluminum. Fried the battery on the other which obviously has nothing to do with tires
I'd like to see a retest after 350 miles or so on them. I wouldn't be able to condemn the RC500S after just this run. Unfortunately, they don't offer the stickies on a 14" rim.
Zillas should invest in their own line of patches. I run System3 RT 320s and have no complaints at Cross Bar, Windrock, or MOAB. I’ve seen zillas with 6-15 plugs in 1 tire and then that person still tried to convince me it was the best tire out there. Maybe best means worst from where he comes from, I don’t know.
Really had hopes for the S3s. I currently have the XCR350s and struggled in all those obstacles compared to my pal with an X3 in zillas. We've been wheeling for some time and I've seen enough proof that Rockzillas are a well designed tire for this type of wheeling. I'm not sure break in will help the S3s. Was really hoping they put time into them but we can see it first hand here. Looking forward to more review time with them but I'm still not sure they're an option
Right there with you. 350s were the first tire I ever ran and not a fan of them at all. Way too hard of a compound. If we can figure out what’s causing the RC500s to have poor lateral traction, we might be able to do something to address the issue with some tire groovers
@@slewcrewoffroad, for some reason people say the rockzillas have fan boys behind them. I'm not a fan boy of anything really. You can just spot in products where the design and engineering teams nailed it. Sure you might lose lug ends from zillas when guess what, you're using them for what they're intended for, haha! Oh well... For me zillas are it when it comes to shelf crawls, vertical ascends and just plain ole wheeling the rocks. Maybe one day we'll catch you guys out a Crossbar. Happy wheeling slewcrew!
Nittos will hang with a Zilla all day in rocks and wear slower on the road. They suck in slick mud though which sucks riding east tn. Going to cut a few lugs out of each tire and see if that improves.
I’m no tire expert nor will I claim to be. However I do think it’s the compound that makes the tire sticky and not the softness. My theory is that based off the Nitto and Zilla. The Zilla is supper soft and it’s sticky. The Nitto is hard as a rock and is more sticky than the Zilla. The Nitto sticks like glue to the rocks compared to the zillas. The Zilla gets all the love because it is so soft and will help the roughest unit ride smooth. Then there is the Nitto Trail Grappler. It just sticks to everything no matter what. With all that being said. I don’t mind some slippage if it saves my axle and keeps me out on the trail riding with my Family friends. It suck breaking down all the time do to a broke axle or driveshaft, another flat tire just so I can say I have Zillas on my unit. Just not worth it to me. I have seen guys in the field with 6-15 plugs in a Zilla and they will Swear it’s the best tire they have ever ran. That I will never understand. I’d hate to see their worst tire then.
@Lightysfun I never seen a flat zilla only low on air I run 5 in mine but never flat they are a lot of brands that say they have zillas for sale and there knock offs just ask Scott from the canam crew lmao
Been looking for a review on these tires for a while. Thanks for testing them out.
Zillas are going to be hard to beat!
Yes sir! Great comparison! Zilas all day son ✊🏼

You ever think about balance beeds I heard that would fix the problem idk
@@asifunu370s are literally known for having god awful sidewalls…
Must be how they’re mounted. I’ve done 65 on my 370’s and they are chillin
my 32 in 370s run smooth up to full speed around 75
Looks like I'll be sticking to the Zillas for a while. The competition has come a long way though.
I seen another place that had the gear reduction an it also has Mudd version being different
Can you do a walkthru of your build it looks really nice especially the ride height thx
Gave the vid a thumbs up because of the beer can on the tire.
If the top ain’t gold I don’t want it
Awesome test !! For a new tire they did well. Time will tell for sure how good the 500s really is.
Yessir those who know 👌
look at the nitto stickies they do awesome
What aftermarket axles and driveshaft was that guy running? Don’t want to buy that brand, wasn’t even being hard on it
Stock
Can we get some 37" irok action. 10" wide wheel 5/5. That would be a good video....
what cage do yus have i like the looks of it about as good as any ive seen
Custom from our friends at Blue Fire Motorsports in Greenville, TX!
Looks like the only x3 without Zillas survived? Maybe too much traction leads to breakage? Guess it depends on the surface.

Testing them again here in a couple weeks with a follow up video
