Beautiful bags! This newer creative director is bringing back back older bags with an updated look. It’s is really taking off. I’m loving the Tabby and the Riley bags. The Cassie is a remake of the Court bag. 😉
I have fallen in love with Coach all over again! Purchased 6 bags this year! I have LV but Coach leather is fantastic! I love getting good quality from Coach 1941 line. I kept some of my vintage Coach bags too! So happy that I did 🤗
The outside design is definitely the Court, but the 3 compartment body of the bag is definitely LV pochette metis. I think they each "borrowed" from one another! :)
As soon as I learned of the new Cassie bag by Coach, I was intrigued. I LOVE my Pochette Métis; it has just the perfect design, layout and functionality for me. The only draw back (besides potential glazing issues) is the vachetta leather on the top handle. It is not completely carefree. Enter the Cassie bag. It has the layout and functionality that I adore, plus is100% care free AND is only a fraction of the cost. Mine should arrive any day now! As for as it being an LV dupe, it is actually an updated version of the Coach Court from the 90s. Perhaps the success of the Pochette Métis brought it out of retirement... who knows. But whatever the reason, I sure am glad! I eagerly await your review on how you pack it and overall thoughts and satisfaction.
The Cassie is more of a reissue of coach’s original court bag, which came out way before the pochette Métis. I don’t look at it as a copy of the pochette Métis, although the style is similar.
I love all of your videos by the way your one of my favorite youtubers. I'm surprised you have never heard of the court bag. It's one of coach's classic style. It's been around since the 70s. LV actually copied coach. Please do your research first before assuming coach copied LV. The cassie is a remake of their classic court bag.
I love vintage coach . I had the station bag in the 90s in many colors i had many coach bags until they went outlet and cccccccc was everywhere. I agree about being turned off. Now I am liking some of the full leather bags like yours again. I love your bag!
Ha! I just bought my first Coach bag in 25 years this week! What killed the brand for me was when they moved manufacturing to China, but prices stayed the same. I also felt there was an over saturation and they became too common. Lately, however I have given them another look. I no longer buy Louis Vuitton because the quality has definitely gone downhill and also I think they are just over saturated.
The shape is the flap on the oxblood bag reminds me of the flap on my vintage Coach Courier bag, a bag from the 70s. The difference is it snaps where as the Courier slides through a loop. The Cassie and the Métis are basically smaller versions of briefcases, IMO the brief satchel is a category of bag style, like a bucket, clutch etc. I have the Court bag and it’s basically a mini version of the Coach briefcase I had in the early 90s .As Coach is moderately priced I feel everyone is always looking for similarities to luxury bags but their styles are fairly classic so we will see similar features as other brands who also sell classic styles. This doesn’t mean the ripped off the design.
First of all, your older coach bags are in mint condition. You certainly take good care of them! I agree with your comments regarding the coach outlet stores...never any desire to shop there. Regarding these two new bags, will you use them now or save for fall and winter? I have a beautiful brown leather crossbody in dark brown that I swapped away in my closet for lighter bags. But I miss using it.
Both of these bags remind me of a luxury line Coach had in the late 90s - Madison. They were made in Italy, and had a structure pebbled leather and simple design shapes. These colors are very 80s Legacy inspired, though.
Yes, I agree....BUT the body of the Cassie is nothing like the City bag....and is EXACTLY like the LV pochette metis. I think they all "borrow" ideas from one another. :)
My first Coach was the Kimball zip in black which I bought in 1994. In the mid 2000’s I tossed that and a brown Coach court bag into a donation box with a bunch of clothes. I don’t know what I was thinking and to this day I’m kicking myself. Anyway that Cassie is a redo of the court bag and Coach designed that style first. When I first saw the Métis that was the first thought that popped into my head. I think Coach brought it back because of the success with the Métis but it was theirs first.
I just got two Cassies in different colors and can't decide between the two. I love them so much and want to keep both😵. I'm so obsessed with the Tabby and I want it in both sizes and several colors. I grew up and graduated in the same era as you so I was all about Coach back in the day until they started making the fabric ones with the CC's. I'm so in love with Coach again and I hope they continue in this direction.
Which two colors?? I hear that there is a british tan Cassie available in the UK now, and possibly a red, as well! I'm guessing more colors will become available in time. I agree with you! Hoping Coach continues in this direction. But they still need to make bags in that original, thick, amazing, glove tanned leather like bags in the 70's and 80's! Then I'll be truly thrilled!!!
I don’t necessarily think Coach took too much inspiration from the Gucci Marmont; Coach has been using that tongue-flap design since their 1960s Courier bag was released. Great video! You make me want the Cassie bag so bad!
Hey Jen the Cassie is actually a revamp of the coach court bag that was released in the 1990s so technically it’s not a Louis Vuitton copy if anything lv took coaches original idea in my opinion I have bags from both companies they are both great
I loved going down memory lane with you. I can still remember my first Coach bag and Coach loafers. I got the Tabby Shoulder Bag in Moss and Autumn can’t get here fast enough. It’s gorgeous!
So glad to see you bought the Cassie! Love the pochette metis but they have too many issues for the price tag imo. Other Cassie videos aren’t by anyone I’m familiar with and I really trust your opinion. Looking forward to the comparison video!!
I’m shocked that I’ve gone back to Coach. I love my luxury bags and thought Coach had just been my entry into handbags 30 years ago but wow! I find myself in the mall and drawn to the beautiful bags in Coach. They are back on my radar in a huge way and my next big purchase will be a Coach, not a LV for the first time in decades. I’m smitten.
Enjoy your new bags!! I was a Coach girl years ago and just recently wandered into the boutique after watching Autumn Beckman's video on the Cassie. I purchased the Cassie in black and have been using it ever since. Coach had some really beautiful bags again 🖤❤️🖤
Hi Jennifer, I’m in the same age group as you, my first designer bag was a Coach, a legacy flap shoulder bag, which I still have! I think they have gone back to the same quality leathers they used to use. Remember Coach used to do leather car interiors? I never stopped loving Coach, but what was in stores wasn’t so nice for a while, and you could get the same bag in the outlet for a fraction of the price. I am so happy to see them going back to what they are known for. You have gorgeous bags, both old and new!
Oh I completely understand what you were saying. I recently noticed several refurbished legacy bags being sold; as well as what appears to be a return to classic styles. I am here for it.😊
Love those Jen! I have the Cassie on its way and I’m going to do a comparison video with my metis! Although this bag does resemble the pochette metis, it is actually a remake of an older coach bag called the Court. Not sure if it was spelled Court or maybe Kort. And it was made way before the Metis. That new tabby bag is sooo cute! I love the bigger one too I think it’s that big gold C that I love so much. Thanks so much for sharing! Xoxo 😘
This is my first time watching one of your videos. My bag obsession started with Coach and I fell out of love soon after they stopped making their legacy bags. I moved in to LV, Mulberry, etc. But that Tabby 26 caught my eye and I bought it, too. It’s insanely well made. I also just ordered the black Cassie! I wanted a PM but they are so hard to get. Excellent video! I kept thinking how you were actually telling my story.
The Tabby “tongue” was Coaches design from the 60s/70s. Look up the Courier bag, etc. Even the anniversary line with the tattersall lining had it. Wayyyyy before Gucci Marmont
I love the tabby with the 2 straps! They are both really cute- I may have to try coach again too! I look forward to hearing back what you like and don’t like- thanks for sharing 😀
Your view on Coach is exactly how I feel! I think what helped is that the Design Director for Coach was the Mulberry's former design director. He is bringing the luxury and rich look back. Reed K the former Coach director left and is at Tiffany and Co and he is destroying it like he did Coach. I am starting to like Coach again too.
The drop front on the Tabby bag and the Gucci Marmont style are both throwbacks to the 1970s. I remember in the 70s my mother had a monogrammed bag she ordered from a catalog with that same feature, so I don't think you can really say either truly ripped off the other. Plus, the Tabby bag is just so much more elegant and classy than the Marmont. Both beautiful bags in their own way, but the Coach bag is just amazing. I too have a long and storied history with Coach and fell out of love with the brand around the same time you did. In the late 1990s to 2000s I would go into the store with the specific plan to buy a bag and walk out empty handed because they just weren't making something I wanted. I think I'll be giving them another try, as well! This is the first of your videos I've seen and you are just luminous! I am now a new subscriber!
Im binge watching on all your coach videos. I want to put every one in my cart! I was wondering if you will make a video sharing all the coach you own. ❤️
Amazing Video, beautiful bags Doll, Same here, I fell out of love with them for years but they are knocking things out of the box now- Impeccable designs, now I’m adding a few beauty’s to my own collection😃
How timely your video is! Being in the land of high end luxury for some time now, I too recently fell back into the Coach world. Wow! I bought the Cassie crossbody in Bright Cherry which is gorgeous! And...the Rouge 25 in Chalk. They are just gorgeous and I couldn't be happier! Now I'm seeing what else looks good, lol! Quality, check! Price, check!
I am such a lover of coach leather. I used to have a very large coach collection and I sold all but two bags. I still have my city bag and my bucket bag both in tan. I do miss a lot of my bags but I had way too many to use. I am sooo happy that they are bringing these back and I really hope they bring back all the classic leather styles. I over the two you chose and they are definitely on my list for fall. I also used to own the court bag which was also very similar to the PM. I have a video on my Chanel from a while back comparing the two.
I have a Coach court bag, which is the vintage version of this bag. I absolutely love it! You should have labeled this video your Vintage Coach collection. I loved this! Have you ever looked at the rogue?
I wish I had a few of the iconic Coach bags from the 80's I loved! The Court, the Station, etc. I have had the Rogue 25 in Dark Olive with rivets in my "shopping cart" several times during this recent sale, but have always found something else I wanted more. It still seems like a fabulous bag! Do you have it?
I still have my Willis bag my Taft bag and that same black bucket as you Love coach Quality and great customer service Loved this All the best to you. Xoox MJ
Coach is what got me started in the handbag world so they will always have a special place in my heart and I am glad they are becoming a popular brand again but I don’t think I will be purchasing from them again. I agree with you about brands ripping off other brands when they see that they have a design that is selling great. The Cassie is too similar to the Pochette Métis I don’t think I could get past it. Great video!
I still have the Court Bag but the brass is very tarnished. Coach came out with another bag much like it. Forgot the name of it, but it was much nicer. I have two of them. Honestly ... I don't like the Metis. I have 3 LV bags. Speedy 25, Siena PM and The Pallas BB.
I still have my Coach bags from the eighties stored away. The Ali, Willis, Stewardess, and many more that I can't think the names of right now! They are wonderful bags, the leather is the absolute best! I still have quite a few of the Legacy line bags and still think they are the best leather ever. In recent years, I've carried LV, have 17 at last count, but honestly, I still consider Coach a much prettier bag, from their linings to the detail on the bag itself. My husband doesn't like my LV's much, but he loves the few Coach bags that I have purchased recently. Like you, I like the simpler, more classic styles. Some of the Coach are a little over the top for me, I'm not a fan of rivets for example, but some, like the Rogue, are my cup of tea. The 1941 line also has some that I like. Love the two that you bought! Enjoy!
I still wear my older coach bags. The leather is so luxurious. For a while I stopped buying as well because the market was over saturated over the last few years and quality had gone down. Lately I feel like they are redeeming themselves. I'm really interested in the Cassie
Hi Jennifer. Love how your videos always remind me of myself! From your fragrance collection video years ago to your LV petite bucket bag being your first LV, we have so many similarities in taste and experiences that I really enjoy watching your videos. Helps me find new things to try because I know I’d probably feel similarly to you. Anyway, this video brought back so many memories. I also loved coach back in college days. I had the navy blue station bag, black court bag, and forgot the names but I ALSO had the same as your first little black flap bag and the black bucket style bag you showed. Similarities again! How nostalgic this video was! Like you, I loved those bags and then came my first LV and Gucci in the mid 90’s that replaced Coach bags for me. Your video makes me want to try the Cassie bag...just for fun. As I watched your video I was thinking to myself if I did order one for nostalgia sake, I would definitely remove the hang tag. (So ironic since back in the day, the hang tag was one of the most important parts of the bag.) Then I had to laugh when you said the same thing! Great minds think alike!
Oh my gosh!! I took that little hang tag off and stuffed it in the bag, first thing!! HAHAHA! And yes!!!...that hangtag was everything back in the day! Funny how things change.
After reading the comments it's nice to know they actually came out with it way before the PM. I looooove the black I'm such a weirdo but I love the sounds of the second bag. I think they did it way better than Gucci lol
I did more research into the whole thing and found out that both Coach and LV seem to have "borrowed" ideas from each other!! And if you're a weirdo for liking the sounds a bag makes....then I am too! I get it. I totally get it! xo
I had a feeling your going to get this one too. It looks pretty well made and low maintenance. Beautiful bags. I can remember I started off with Guess, Coach, Kate Spade, then Tory Burch and now moved on to more expensive brands. Still love the classic bags! LOL
I love the new Cassie bag. I just purchased my first Coach bag in May and I love it. It is the same pebbled leather as your Cassie. It is beautiful and well made. I think that Coach has really upper their game.
Wonderful!! Welcome to Coach. You have started at a good time. I love that Coach is coming back with some of the styles that so many people loved from the past!
Omg. Yes. Coach 25 years ago was the best leather bags. Then like you it was just bad and I stopped buying them for the longest time. And I am so happy they are going back to their classic.
Omg!!! They are so, so gorgeous!!! I have Gucci, YSL, Balenciaga...but I can’t stop thinking about the Parker and now these two bags!!! I actually like the Tabby a bit better than the Cassie...reminds me some of the designs from Gucci and Celine. Anyway, I think one of these Coach bags will be next for me! Thanks for sharing!!!
The Coach Cassie is an updated version of the Coach Court bag which was made years before Louis Vuitton’s Pouchette Metis. Under their Creative Director, Stuart Vevers, Coach is reissuing a lot of their previous designs. The 1941 Collection contains many of their best designs. It’s good to see Coach reclaim their legacy by designing bags with both style and quality!!🥰
That second bag is also from a 1970’s Coach design. They have stated they are bringing back bag designs from their archives, so they truly did not copy anyone with these two bags! Anyway, as I stated in my last comment, I bought my first Coach bag in 25 years this week. I got the Cooper Carryall in their Original Saddle color and I have to say I am very impressed by the quality and love that the interior is suede. I will admit to being a bag snob, but it the quality is not there I don’t care if it is a Louis Vuitton or who made it.
I am Coach lover sence 1984 i always purchased Coach I like Mk bags to but my favorite is Coach I have seven Coach some Mk bags my favorite is Coach thank you for sharing your
I'm 48 years old, so I totally know what you are talking about! Love this video!!! I love seeing all these vintage COACH bags. Brings back so many good memories! I am in love with that backpack! Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful! I can't believe I kept all my old Coach bags! I think it was because we moved so often. I found it easier to shove them in a moving box, rather than going through the selling process. :)
I like both - particularly the smaller aubergine bag. It looks well made and I like the leather design on the front as well as the hardware on the bag. Love the simplicity and practicality of the black...I'm sure it will wear wonderfully over the years. Good choices I would say!
I love these, Jennifer! I purchased a backpack a earlier this year and absolutely love it! Definitely reminds me of the 80’s/90’s! I’ll be checking these out for sure this weekend!!!
Hi Mandy! I have seen your backpack and love it as well! I am so happy Coach has taken this new (old) direction and may be giving us back the pieces we have been missing!
I just got a new Coach light pink leather crossbody in the mail today to wear with my Lilly. I love Coach's leather. My favorite is the market tote in black with gold hardware. I love it!
Congratulations on your bags. I just purchased a new Tabby bag by Coach in a beautiful navy leather. Reminds me of the old leather and I love it. I get so many compliments!
Beautiful bags Jennifer, enjoy them and wear them in good health!! I’m a Coach gal from way back, and still use my classics! One of the things I’ve loved about Coach beside the leather, is the solid brass, they’ve held up through the years unlike the gold plating that turns with some of the luxe brands! So happy they’re back in the game!!! Going to check out their website! Thanks😉
I have my old Coach bags in pillow cases in the back of the closet. My son keeps telling me to throw out the old bags but I love them. And the remind me of my college days and my early 20's.
I almost put my older Coach bags in the donation bin several times, and now I'm so glad I didn't! As long as I have the space to store them, I will keep on keeping them! :)
I love your coach bags sis ... both bags are beautiful classics. The Cassie and the color of the second bag is gorgeous. But let’s not forget your legacy and older bags. I loved them. That Satchel. So much fun and eye candy to watch. Tfs 🍭 🍬 🍦🍧😘
Hi Jennifer! Your older bags are in such great condition; I would suggest to stuff the bags, if you have the space storing them stuffed; then the bags will keep its shape much better 😊! I don't have anything from Coach yet, but I heard lots of interesting stuff about that brand! Will have to take a look 😊!
I just got my Cassie 😍 I’m in love😍I love how the main handle strap is removable on the tabby! So when your wearing it crossbody you can just remove it! It’s like two bags in one!
Glad you are loving your Cassie, as well!! Yes, the handles/straps on the Tabby both remove entirely! You can wear them both, or individually. Or even without a handle...as a clutch! Love it!
I so agree with your view in Coach past and present I have also kept my eyes on them but haven’t been even liking them. Now I may have to review them again I loved your bags and video, Thanks for sharing
With coach, if you get the glovetanned leather, that will hold up better than the calfskin leather . They gave out free gifts a few years ago toiletry kits made of it. I travel every week for work and use it. It stil looks great, no big creasing or wrinkling .
YES! The "old school" thick, glove tanned leather from the vintage bags is by far the most amazing leather! I wish Coach would bring that back again. Not sure how the thinner calfskin on the Cassie will wear over time, but I'm sure it won't be able to compete with the old leather, that's for sure!
I love my pochette metis so much that I need the coach one too! It really is the perfect crossbody bag and I always bring it when I travel but sometimes when it rains I can't use so the coach one will be a great alternative!
I might get coach Cassie, it goes on my wish list..,just looking for price to go down… I love crossbody bags for travel.. I heard coach Cassie is light weight and looks like perfect size for me..I can fit everything I want without problem without bag being to huge.
Thank you for creating this video! I’ve been looking into purchasing the Tabby and this video has just solidified that I need to add this bag to my collection, now the question is which color?!? xx

Linda Wentzel when was the rerelease of the Cassie?
Not sure of the exact date. I saw it in the boutique May 30. The SA said they had just gotten the bags in.
The Cassie is more of a reissue of coach’s original court bag, which came out way before the pochette Métis. I don’t look at it as a copy of the pochette Métis, although the style is similar.

I also purchased the Cassie and I love it!! Coach has really improved on their quality!
Yes!! SO happy Coach is going in this direction with their bags!
Yes - the Court bag was ripped off by LV - Coach had it years ago.
Coach was 1st!!!! They had a bag called the city bag so LV stold that from Coach!!!!
Yes, I agree....BUT the body of the Cassie is nothing like the City bag....and is EXACTLY like the LV pochette metis. I think they all "borrow" ideas from one another. :)
The court bag not city
@@JustJennifer - it is a modern "re-design" ; )
My first Coach was the Kimball zip in black which I bought in 1994. In the mid 2000’s I tossed that and a brown Coach court bag into a donation box with a bunch of clothes. I don’t know what I was thinking and to this day I’m kicking myself. Anyway that Cassie is a redo of the court bag and Coach designed that style first. When I first saw the Métis that was the first thought that popped into my head. I think Coach brought it back because of the success with the Métis but it was theirs first.
Very nice bags! I like plain, clean, sleek bags without logos. I'm not a fan of 'busy' 😂
Definitely more classy
I had the Court bag! Wish I still did. So LV really copied this bag.
I just got two Cassies in different colors and can't decide between the two. I love them so much and want to keep both😵. I'm so obsessed with the Tabby and I want it in both sizes and several colors. I grew up and graduated in the same era as you so I was all about
Coach back in the day until they started making the fabric ones with the CC's.
Love coach bags from the 90s, simple and classic with beautiful leather. These really do remind me of those bags. let us know how you like them!
Hi Dawn! Sounds like we have had the same experience. I am hoping the Coach bags wear as well as the older ones!
Oh I completely understand what you were saying. I recently noticed several refurbished legacy bags being sold; as well as what appears to be a return to classic styles. I am here for it.😊
Great review! I am so thrilled w the direction Coach is going.. simple..chic.
I have to say you have great taste in bags. I love your new ones so much! Coach has the nicest hardware.
Thank you!
Coach has really upgraded and modernize. Amazing quality bags. They can stand next to higher end bags.
It looks like the Court Bag from Coach.
The Cassie has a turn lock closure, the pochette Métis has the squeeze closure. They are very different IMO
Yes! All very good points! Thank you for subscribing and welcome to the JJ family! xo
Im binge watching on all your coach videos. I want to put every one in my cart!
I was wondering if you will make a video sharing all the coach you own. ❤️
I love how you share your vintage pieces with us💜
Thanks! I have actually been digging up a few more vintage pieces and loving them again!
Amazing Video, beautiful bags Doll,
Same here, I fell out of love with them for years but they are knocking things out of the box now- Impeccable designs, now I’m adding a few beauty’s to my own collection😃
Thank you! So far, I am very impressed with Coach lately!
I am beyond impressed that you have kept all of your Coach bags over the years!
Thank you for a trip down memory lane. I had several of those bags back in the day. Love the two new ones you have. Jackie from Indiana
I still have my Willis bag my Taft bag and that same black bucket as you
Love coach
Quality and great customer service
Loved this
All the best to you.
Xoox
MJ
I looooove the black
I'm such a weirdo but I love the sounds of the second bag. I think they did it way better than Gucci lol
I did more research into the whole thing and found out that both Coach and LV seem to have "borrowed" ideas from each other!! And if you're a weirdo for liking the sounds a bag makes....then I am too! I get it. I totally get it! xo
Hello! I work at the Coach flagship store, lmk if you want to be notified of new arrivals/deals/exclusive events 😃
Hello! Thank you. I would love to be notified of new arrivals. My email is justjenniferv@gmail.com.
Both of your new bags are GORGEOUS! Looking forward to the comparison video.
Well that’s exciting! I’ve been liking what coach has been making lately. Thanks for sharing.
You are so fun! And absolutely beautiful! Such a fun video seeing your old bags. I just bought the cassie and I’m obsessed ♥️♥️
Thank you! YES!! Which color did you get in the Cassie?
Just Jennifer I have the black. I just posted a video of mine :)
I love the new direction Coach is taking! (or should I say "old" direction!) ;)
I agree about quality.... I don't care who makes it ....if a bag is quality and of a timeless design, it's for me!!
Thank you! I have only used the black bag so far, but am very excited to give the other one a try soon!
Tfs 🍭 🍬 🍦🍧😘
Thanks D! I have fallen in love all over again with several of those vintage bags I showed! Will definitely be using them again!
Yes, I agree! I should have stuffed the bags from the beginning. :)
I am also eyeing out the Cassie in black. It’s such a great alternative to the Pochette Métis. I miss my PM but would not repurchase.
Thanks! I am so happy with the direction Coach is taking now! (although the Fall 2019 pre-view collection is a bit sketchy, to me)
‘Used it to pieces’ they still look so good 😍. That quality was amazing
I agree! Amazing.
Lv is becoming today’s coach as in totally played out, cheap and basic
I might get coach Cassie, it goes on my wish list..,just looking for price to go down… I love crossbody bags for travel.. I heard coach Cassie is light weight and looks like perfect size for me..I can fit everything I want without problem without bag being to huge.
Enjoy your new bags! They’re beautiful! I have been using that same Cassie bag since last week and I’m loving it.
Thank you for creating this video! I’ve been looking into purchasing the Tabby and this video has just solidified that I need to add this bag to my collection, now the question is which color?!? xx
Coach has a vintage bag very similar to this. I think it's called the Court bag so maybe other fashion houses are copying Coaches style.
WOW I love both of those bags. These bags were in style in the ‘70’s I loved them. I’m going shopping!
I am loving them too!
My cassie bag came brand new with all the wrapping, it had this weird shiny scratches all over it.
hey Jen, I love the second bag you showed. It looks so elegant. I think the Cassie bag looks a little boring.
They all copy each other so what does it matter!!! Coach has really stepped there game up and I love it!!!!!
Omg I had that small bag you showed. I bought it pre-loved from ebay in excellent vintage condition. Now my niece is enjoying it!
