Great to see No23 in steam, tragic that it may never happen again. America has limitless financial and technical resources, this beautiful and genuinely historic loco deserves to run again.
I never missed the B&O Train Museum's Steam Days. I was there this particular weekend. It is sad that there are no plans to operate steam at the Museum anymore. Never say never, but for now, it's not on the table... Another well done video, Mr IMBL.
Most of the video is from Saturday morning. The exterior shots of the St.Elizabeth was recorded on Sunday. I edited them together to make it appear to be one day. It came out surprisingly well considering Sunday ended up being cloudy.
Id love to see this locomotive hooked to a four car train, or whatever she can pull! I bet she's just showing us a fraction of her true power here, these engines were real work horses.

Thanks for the close-up attention to the 25. Almost as good as being there!
12:35 is it me or are the wheels and trucks on that green tender? Those look like what you see on today's full size freight cars.
I love that little saddle Tank Engine number 4 with that whistle.
That's St. Elizabeth
St. Elizabeth?
Music to my ears. Thank you.
Old operational steam engines. That’s what I love best. Also great to see MARC 7100.
That's what I love to hear and see Too. Old fashioned steam locomotives are better than diesels.
@@Thomasboi01 Yeah. Too bad they’re aren’t any more operating steam engines at B&O at the moment.
What do you mean at the moment?
@@Thomasboi01 Last time steam operated at this museum was 2015.
Maybe they'll put both steam locomotives back to service. Who knows there could be a good chance.

Awesome video! I love the Mason, question what the concrete structure at 11:47? Was it a shop since their is a crane.
Are they still operating B&ORR # 25 in the Baltimore and Ohio railroad museum?
Unfortunately not.
Maybe one day they will restore her back. I hope they will. You can't get your hopes up.
If I owed a steam preservation society railroad I would restore her back to service. You can count on me.

Was this from Saturday or Sunday on that weekend?
It used to be a locomotive freight car repair shed.
Does George Harwood still work there?
Your Welcome!
