Your show is a gold mine! I'm doing a sleep deprived EEG tomorrow morning which means I can't sleep tonight. I've just been binge walking your channel. Genuinely the most underrated channel I've ever come across.
I'm a bit younger than what I assume the target audience is (born in 2000) but this is so cool, I think I was among the last children to grow up at least partially on VHS and dail-up. The commitment to having this look like a proper era TV broadcast is awesome too! So glad I found your stuff on tiktok! Nice to see Adelaide stuff on youtube too!
Well, a few of us Saints boys had Foxtel back then 😂😉. Love the general Adelaide nostalgia of your videos! Actually, one of the parents was the executive producer of Today Tonight and another was Mr Bankrupt! Despite the name they did very well for themselves…
I find this extremely fascinating 😮😮 Like I only remembered Futurama airing on Channel 10 and 11 but for Channel 7 not airing the newer episodes at the time is very absurd to me 😩
Fox in the US didn't give it a good run either - changing its timeslot and airing episodes out of order. I guess they only had the 1 main channel back then so air time was limited. Still, they aired plenty of other garbage...
@@davidthegreen I definitely heard about that one ☝️ And yes that last part is exactly what I wanted to mention about actually 😲 It’s like when a show is actually good, studios and broadcasters want nothing to do with it, but mindless mediocre and garbage content gets more green lights. I find this super insane 🤯 An example I would like to bring up is a concept trailer for a potential show called Pibby peformed very well and was exceptionally critically acclaimed too. But WB decided not to greenlit it and let crappier shows like Velma into production. I am super curious on why that is the case. 🤔

i downloaded an episode of South Park once sometime around 1998 or 99, an episode that had yet to air in Australia. Likewise, it took many hours over a 56k modem. Cheers. I guess I stored the tapes in a nice dry cupboard so they’ve held up ok compared to ones people just threw in a damp garden shed. I’ve gone through a few VCRs over the years. Use a head cleaning tape every now and then. Yeah I never went to Mr Bankrupt but they sold all sorts of stuff
Cheers. Well Adelaide in the 2000s for me was pretty good, looking back. I saw friends and family all the time, hung out at Westfield Marion a lot, played golf at The Pat, got my start in radio. At the time though I couldn’t wait to get out and move to a bigger city. I probably appreciate the good things about Adelaide a lot more now than I did then.
Oh man, Hanimex, they rebranded crap and sold them in Aus, my first every video game console was a Hanimex my dad picked up in the markets, before Nintendo released the NES
