I'll have to rewatch that. I was too busy marvelling at how clean that video transfer was from a circa 1986 VHS tape to pay any attention to the content.
I can remember our family was in a caravan on an unpowered site in the Witsundays on the night of the royal wedding in 1986. Had to get an extension cord from next site to boil the kettle so missed it. *What a pity*
I remember that Custom Credit ad. Also the fact that the guy seems to have that flash of buyer's remorse the second the credit card is swiped by the tradie! Swiped the smile right off his face. And that American Express ad. Mr Wong! And I'd love to know the translation for the stall holder who slams the caged birds back on the counter... maybe something about animal rights abuses or something...?
Perhaps Custom Credit could have invested in some ads that explained the concept of credit to that man. He is clearly confused as to the nature of the transactions he pursuing.

Tapes were built to last back then
The audacity of Nylex to propose that Contact could be used for anything other than covering school books! Geez...
Not one, but TWO paedos in the one video! You really are spoiling us David.

Haha heard you on 702 this morning with that wedding coverage ad.
54 cameras!
@@davidthegreen so flippin' exciting.
Futurama reference gave me a hell of a chuckle.
Still no idea what Drake actually does
@@davidthegreen They even paid to have it aired during the grand final! ...not on the same channel, of course.
Brilliant!
I don't think that Army Reserve chopper ever left the ground to film Bob 😅
And, "Have you started your 'Allo 'Allo collection?"
Yeah the camera would have to be in the pilot’s seat to get that angle
glad I'm not the only one who remembers "have you started your Allo Allo collection?"!
I cannot believe Maggie Tabberer wasn't in there as well!

Dude! Those CC ads were fucking legendary 🤣
There were some good ones in the late 90s like that one with the alliteration “You can’t say no to effigies of MPs in aviaries…” etc.

Someone on the TikTok account asked that too and according to someone else it’s something along the lines of “buy my ducks!”
killer outtro outtro
missed opportunity for a soldier to hand him a beer, get that intaya!
Don’t drink and fly
Is that Garry Who in the Custom Credit ad?
Sure is
@@davidthegreen I wonder who's singing the DRAKE jingle 😂
I thought it was only in Adelaide that cars driving into houses made the news
If it happens in Sydney it’s national news
04:30 Didn't realise Mr Travel Oz (Greg Grainger) was once a newsreader.
you look like Chris Barrie.
@@daneberryman Stoke me a clipper
"Seen it three times."
Yeah.... sure....

Because of him we had the 1990 recession
Seven sons for Seven News..es.
Is the custom card bloke an inspiration for Milo Kerrigan?
Yeah I wonder...

Drake = a male duck. I am so confused.
