Love the jasp-agate. Can't wait to see that turned into something. Beautiful! The frog swimming around was pretty cool. Lol

I thought it was so cool how well they could control their floatation, I wish I could do that haha!!

Awesome stuff cant wait to see that orbicular rhyolite cabbed up! Amazing finds!

Thanks!! Orbicular Rhyolite is up there in my favorites just because of the variety in color and pattern. This stuff is going to be great for cabbing as it is heavily silicated unlike most of my local material, cant wait to play with it!!

Music is a hard thing to find, especially non copyright. I'm hoping to add some new outdoors content to my channel soon and hopefully I will get a bit better with editing as I make more content😃

Thanks!! It's always good to have protection if things go downhill. I've never had any problems personally but there's a first time for everything🙂

Awesome trip man! Your editing skills are progressing by the week it seems.
@18:55 Yeah man, I spend a ton of time in bearitory too and you've got to keep your head on a swivel. The bears in BC are bigger than Oregon bears if I remember correctly.
Congrats on the Jasper find too, good feeling when you come across a new record setter.
Look forward to chatting with ya soon man and keep up the good work.

Thanks!! Yea I can't wait to take a slice off of that piece to see the true pattern inside!! Maybe that'll be in another vid!! On my next trip I will be exploring some new ground that I've never been to before, it'll be fun to see what I can get up to out there!!

Loved watching but if I may make a suggestion. At the end when you present each piece could you have your hand and arm resting on something solid? When you make your moves and turns, that's fine, but when you're trying to hold the rock or stone perfectly still your hand has a slight shake to it. So in the agate shots it's hard to see the banding on some. Just FYI. Thanks for taking me along. This is the only way I'll ever go. I love going hounding but the days are slipping away for me. I'm 69 years old and I'm limited to places I can access. The sandy beaches of Lake Michigan are boring. The only exciting lake for Michiganders is Lake Huron and Superior. Keep up the good work young man

Thank you!! I will try and steady my hands for the next one, we'll see how it goes. I am always glad to share my adventures, there's not too many rockhounds around here so it's nice to bring people from elsewhere along with me🙂

Great rock adventure! I ride my mountain bike to scout areas too! So cool you found that big jasper, it looks like its kind of plumey, with the solid colors floating inside the chalcedony. Such a nice one. Its always great to find a stone that is top shelf like that! Love the towering fir trees, what a beautiful place.

Thanks!! I come back to this area every year for family reunions and I've never explored this far up the creek, I'm so glad I did as there's lots to find!! Can't wait to go back next year after the spring floods🙂

That's a great idea! I have tried one before and it got plugged very quickly from using creek water. I think I might give it another try with a better quality one and see if I have better results🤔

Black bear no problem. As long as no cubs are present. Keep a ziploc handy for snack trash and don't carry an aromatic lunch around.

For sure!! Black bears have never caused me any problems but its still good to be aware🙂

Hey man, you make me wish I'd payed more attention in earth science class. Keep it up. Does Jasper always look waxy on the surface looking despite the diff colors.?
    Thanks man.

I Never took earth science, I kind of regret it but I learned most of what they teach online anyhow, most of what I know is from UA-cam or from talking with the prospectors in my area!! Most true Jasper of any color has a waxy luster or at least a very similar texture to the agates in the area.
