I have some big plans this winter, hopefully they'll come to fruition and I'll be able to work these stones a bit more comfortably!! Some of these stones will be amazing to play with!!
Thanks!! I think it is almost definitely pet wood, I think I might try nip an edge off of it with my saw to see what is inside. I can see a little bit of agate in it too now that i've washed it up!!
It really is!! Right now I'm on my way to go to a friends claim for a new mineral that I haven't found before, also might hit a few spots on the way home for agates and just to do some exploring!!
that creek is really providing! I would say you found a really special spot! Your pet wood looks like a root, it has so much swirling in the grain its gotta be a root burl or root ball. so cool! Great agates and rhyolite too. that botryoidal one is amazing!
for sure!! i cant wait to get a look on the inside. After cleaning the piece of pet wood it seems to have a little bit of chalcedony in it!! it'll be interesting to see if it is completely agatized🙂

I have seen a few people finding agate on the island but I hear it is quite rare!! There's still so many other cool minerals to look for down there, rhodonite is at the top of the list for me!!😃
I do believe that is a piece of petrified wood! And you can slab it and tumble it. I have and it turns out amazing!! I hope you took that piece. That was amazing!! :) great video btw, THIS AREA LOOKS AWESOME! Where ya at if I may ask?
Thanks!! I couldn't leave that one behind, I had a good feeling it was petrified wood. This week I'm planning on slicing up some of my finds so I'll probably take a little slice off the edge of it to see what it looks like on the inside!! All of my videos are in BC Canada🙂
