  • Well I finally got a video up!! Sorry if this one is a little shakey, I'll work on trying to get some steadier clips in my next one😅
I think this might be the last vid at this spot until I find something crazy to share, I think I'll be better off sharing some new adventures for now and start knocking some videos off my list😁

Excellent video, sweet way to capture your work! Glad your feeling better. This was an awesome journey, plus I learned a lot. Thanks for explaining it as you go, very helpful. Love hearing the flowing water. Keep up the great work. I appreciate your work. It's very inspiring for me to get and and explore some new areas around me. Thank you!

Thanks!! I've still got lots to learn but I like to share as much as I can to help other people make their own finds!! I really want to practice how I film a bit more though, Seeing all these other outdoors channels has me really inspired to learn more about photography and it'd be fun to challenge myself to practice and learn more!!😃

@@NWRockExplorer I totally hear that, super inspired by nature. I'm trying to show as much nature as I can in my videos, try to show how peaceful it is out there, and grounding!

Glad too see you have your energy back to be out and about on a new adventure. Nice video. My favorite thing about your videos is the way they show the reality of going out in nature and exploring. It's fun to go along and see how you search for and discover different rocks. It's not lilke some videos where they pay to dig at an already established mine. I'm glad you are mindful and aware of possible dangers like disturbing certain areas that are under landslides. That must have been a powerful slide to snap those big trees and move all those rocks like that. It's quite steep there. The quartz crystals were pretty once you cleaned them up, and the Zeolites are cool. Take care and keep on exploring.

Thanks!! I like digging in some established sites but where I live we don't have any, its also fun to be able to say you've discovered a site that nobody's ever seen or at least isn't well recorded yet. Every time a big slide happens around here it uncovers new ground so you just never know what you'll come across!!😁

Glad to see that you are feeling better. I hope you find the source of those crystals. Great video. 👍

Thanks!! There's just so many potential spots that it's kind of confusing me of where to stick and start digging. I think next time I'll head back to those veins under that sketchy tree and see if maybe i can follow them into a bit safer of a spot where I can dig. Upon inspection there's even a little bit of grossular garnet in those veins!!

Beautiful steep country there! You need to go check out just above that sketchy area once the snow is gone. Pull up some of the moss blanket to see if the seam is visible!
Great video and glad you are doing better!

I was thinking the same thing, hopefully things thaw out up there a bit soon. While I was up there rocks kept on tumbling down some of the smaller slides so I was a bit too nervous to keep on playing around those cliffs😅

Nice to see you back. 🙂 Your crystals sure cleaned up nice. Glad you played it safe. Looked a bit sketchy. Loved the shot of you at the beginning walking through the forest. Beautiful!

Thanks!! I had fun that trip, definitely found some areas of interest!! All the best finds are generally in the most sketchy spots, sometimes it can take a bit of ingenuity to find ways to gather😁

Super interesting rocks you have there. This green rock. Is it serpentine, gabbro or something else? It all looks so fantastically metamorphized. I long for something other than sedimentary stuff SE England is covered with.

It is really interesting material!! I think its some sort of gneiss, there's all kinds of rock mixing in this spot so its really hard to say😁

how do you identify all these "ites"

    • @NWRockExplorer
      @NWRockExplorer  2 роки тому +1

All you really need to know is two of them, Leaverite and Keeperite😅
Honestly I just research a lot and sometimes stuff sticks, after talking and thinking about minerals so often it just sticks in your vocabulary😁
