"When does a rainforest lose it's virginity anyway?" ~laughs~ I grew up looking forward to Andy Rooney as my parents watched 60 Minutes. As an adult, I still looked forward to his segment most of all. Thank you for the straight talk Andy. Bless your family and may you rest in peace. You are already missed!
He looks miserable on the bottle photo. Then he calls it Rooney Water to let you know that this is what you'll look and feel like when you drink this water.
@@guns4toilets Personally, I'd be a bit hesitant on the Rooney Water. You know how we sometimes discover, shall I say, less than flattering "details" on certain long-trusted public figures, only to later discover some rather sordid conduct they'd been engaging in for years. I'd be afraid old Andy had been adding some of his own special "sauce" to his water...ya know, for "flavoring!"
Andy's segments take me back to my teens and twenties.I never missed an episode of 60 minutes, even during 1971 I watched it, and I was only 10 then.I read all of his books, some were written like his segments.I thought he was funny.I remember when he looked younger.
Ahhh.sundays nights after family dinner.walk out from my room and see dad on his sofa watching 60minutes religiously. Memories you dont even think will be memories when you get older.🙂
An absolute legend, I love Andy Rooney...tells it like it is and calls our attention to the ridiculous stuff we all accept as part of modern life. RIP!
I love Mr. Rooney and the timeframe that he came from when he was a young boy. He said that the motor cars on the road we’re mostly Oldsmobiles and Durrants.
Having lived on Oahu, and was a homebrewer, as well as a commercial beer brewer, I can attest to the fact that the water on Oahu is some of the best in the world! At the brewery, our water came right out of the municipal supply. As did my home water. Currently, I live in the Phoenix Arizona area. (Mesa.) Our water, you can smell a glass of it across the room! I buy RO filtered water, at fifteen whole cents a gallon! If I'd ever hook up the home RO system, water would be MUCH less! steve
I live in upstate NY and our free water is the best. Hard water with minerals and all that stuff. I see people at the big box store with cases of water, it's a waste of money not to mention the plastic we don't need to generate.
I know it's awful, but sometimes I miss being eight and going on my fourth hour running around outside, stopping only to drink out of the hose. I haven't found a bubbler or bottled water that hits that good.
I KNEW IT!!! I’ve said from the first time someone was drinking bottled water that it tastes like you’re drinking…..nothing! Apparently no one figured out that there is absolutely NOTHING in those bottles. Nothing from nothing leaves, well, NOTHING! ❤️🐈
There was a joke referencing Andy Rooney and the way he critiqued things on the Sick and Wrong Podcast, Episode 592. I had never heard of him before but I like him. He seemed like a smart guy. I will check out more 60 Minutes episodes.
A lot of people don't seem to understand that fluoride is a naturally occurring component of ground water in all over the world and the term 'fluoridation' does not only mean adding fluoride to the water but subtracting it to healthful levels which most scientists agree is one parts per million. Fluoride can be good for the body just as iron or calcium can. And just like iron and calcium concentrated doses can be poisonous.
It's like that Fiji commercial, saying they're "not Cleveland". But then Cleveland gave em the old steamer, so to speak, tested their municipal water & it was cleaner than Fiji bottled water.
Poland Spring, Maine is also the home of Élan - a boarding school from the stuff of nightmares. Nexpo had a great episode about its history and eventual closure.
Andy will never be replaced, cbs have other people who try to do what he did but he was one of of a kind that would be like the Stones replacing Mick Jagger wouldn't work.

I use my bottled water.......ONCE.........then fill it up many many times with tap water. Same with soft drink bottles. Had someone look at my Dr Pepper bottle and ask me if Dr Pepper was making a clear version once, lol!
I used to enjoy watching these Andy Rooney segments as a kid

I just shared this with my father(67) me (43) and we laughed for 2 min strait starting with the first line "water on the brain.. sort of".. lmfao
When does a rain forest lose its virginity, anyway?
When it gets clear cutted
When some 80 year old starts talking about popping cherries, I just cringe
Why don't they make the entire rainforest out of the Black Box material?
Bruh.
Virgin or first-growth forests are old-growth forests that have never been logged. Like other types of virginity. :)
when dose a rain forest lose its virginity. fucking spectacular.

A "virgin" rain forest means untouched--which excludes some company going in and setting up a bottling plant there.
Rooney's face on that water bottle is creepy as hell. I'd buy some!
Me too! lol!
I still wonder to this day if his little scheme worked. He's the best.

"I find soup to be the wateriest of foods. I don't really trust soups, no more than I trust stews."
"Soup is funny. It's not really a meal. Nor is it really a first course, because it's mostly made of water..."

How I miss Mr Rooney! ❤❤
I've made it a point of pride to NEVER pay for bottled water.
Whoever thought of that is the biggest genius scam artist in history.
I call it convenient water.
Bottled water has far LESS regulations than tap, always be careful what you put in your body.
Flint on my mind
So don’t snort asbestos? “Be careful what you put in your body” people like you are why we still have do not drink labels on bleach
Lmao he's funny 😄
Andy Rooney had one thing and he exercised it well. Common sense. We can all have it but we just choose to ignore it.

When does the forest lose its virginity. Geez old man. He never held back. Even at 95. Lol.
I still remember that Beaver got in big trouble for trying to sell "bottled water" to his classmates. Ward said to Beav, "But Beave, water is free."

Andy you're still the best. Regular tap water is safe
Did computers really still look like that in 2005?

Those damn bottled-water-drinking women. Can't live with them, can't live without them.
When they came out with bottled water I said "who in their right mind would pay for water"?
i can remember drinking water in our new house in a new subdivision in Texas as a kid and the water tasted awful.

Dead water is an apt name for bottled water.
I wonder what Andy would have to say about what's going on in the world today.
We need a voice deepfake of Andy Rooney reading every book ever written.

Been saying this for years and people think I'm crazy for -not- paying for something that falls from the sky.
Hearing that watch makes me taste steak and mushrooms, because that's what I ate when I was a little boy as my parents watched 60 Minutes.
thank you rick and morty.
And 8 trillion plastic bottles later, we have an ocean of them in the ocean.
To answer Mr. Rooney's rhetorical question: A virgin rain forest loses its virginity the minute humans enter it.
Andy Rooney's,wife caught me,imitating him, said that was good
