It doesn't matter if it's live or f/t. They'll happily eat anything that looks and smells like it might be food. If it's live the movement from it will catch their attention, but you can do the same with something f/t. Unless it's been sitting in the freezer for a year or more the nutrition is still the same. I normally order enough to feed everyone for 3 months at a time so I don't have them sitting in the freezer for long.
Ooooh, believe me... you CANNOT own Komodo dragons. Firstly, because they're SEVERELY endangered and thus a highly protected species, as their habitat is only a few small Indonesian islands, and secondly... they're nearly ten foot long behemoths who are highly venomous. Whereas the venom of most smaller monitors tends to only be a mild irritant to humans, Komodo venom contains a potent neurotoxin and absolutely WILL kill you if you don't get it treated within a few hours tops.
Komodo dragons are monitor lizards, they're the largest one. This boy is an Asian water monitor. I keep him because he's awesome and I love the species.
Great educational video, great video to watch while eating lunch
I love him so much. What a cute lil lad. Tell him he's the cutest
So was the quail dead before feeding?
Does it matter to them if the prey is alive or frozen and thawed? Enrichment? Nutritional difference of any kind?

Bro why do you have a pet dinosaur? I know it’s a Komodo dragon or a monitor lizard but that’s a dinosaur I spy!
