SW I have an idea, seeing as you've made quite a few decaling vids now, maybe you should make a playlist so if newcomners ask how to decal or you make more decaling videos, you can have all of them in one place.
Getting some from blue harvest this video saved me as I’m a complete noob in this hobby so it’s great to know what tools and sites to check out if I want to get some new ones later
I’ve been thinking about starting decaling but I couldn’t find some of the materials such as : blank minifigs, and the decals themselves. This video helped so much! I’m definitely going to start decaling! 😀👍
Thanks for the tutorial! I am getting a ton of free decals from a friend pretty soon, so I am glad I watched this. Also, is it 100% necessary to carve the hips? I feel Ike it might ruin the playability.
Its not neccesary but ive been decaling for a few months and most of the time if u dont carve the hips it makes it much more difficult to move the legs and most of the time i find the decal gets ruined.
For the spray finish which one gives results closer to official Lego? I mean gloss or mat? Anyways this video is really helpful! I'm thinking about getting a commander for my purple clones but i don't want it to stend up too much compared to the others.
Do you need to carve the hips? I know if you're using 360 decals, it's a bit more necessary. But I personally like the 180 ones, and I just feel like it'd ruin any playability for the figures.
this very helpful but i have a question. i know that you can get av figures helmets on the av figures website but they are always out of stock so do you have any recommendation on where to get them?
This isn't the first time I've watched this video lol, hopefully I actually get round to decaling this time, just a question, when buying the plain torso from bricklink, do you get a fully white torso and add the black hands later as I can't find a white torso with black hands on bricklink? thank you
I have a question about the micro sol. Once you've applied the decal and sponged it after you then apply the micro sol do you then apply the sponge again or just leave the decal to dry for a bit? If so how long should I leave the decal to dry before I seal it?
I'm wanting to pick up a phase 1 fives from jonak toys but the arms are the only decals I would need for it would I still need sealant for it if it's only for display?
@@SW_Bricks sure, I’ll send that once there made! Should I let them dry outside? And if so is it okay to do so in winter or will it damage the plastic?
Is it worth it to start recalling if you are a history geek getting into the clone wars I also an in school so it might be hard to balance time and will decals hold up in stop motion
@@y3llowgrap371 well you might want to carve out the hips and carve the arm hole on the torso slightly. Now with the head, i don’t really know. Did you have the figure fully assembled when you sealed it?
My worry is that I slip and ruin it. I would be doing international shipping for the tools and stuff so it would cost around 30 dollars.. (or in my currency R600) so it’s quite a bit especially for like 3 clones in total..
can you use a brush-on water-based sealant like mod-podge??? I am new to decaling and just placed my first order on jonak and need some help, this helped a lot so thanks! but I don't have spray-on sealants, only the brush-on mod-podge, does anyone know if that will work?
Not too sure, I know there is a brush- on sealant but ive never seen it or tried it. Oh cool! Glad it helped! Hopefully someone can help give you an answer but im sure it'll work
I have recently been interested in decalling and this has motovated me

Ahah thats good! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the advice to take the holes from the cloths and great job !

Ah thats good!

Thanks man , this will really help in the future .
Awesome im glad!
For my sealant rack I used a bunch of fake Lego I had and I gotta say it works better than I thought

I needed this video! Great time to upload! And great video! Also, do you need to carve the hips for Jonak decals?
Just finished decaling bacara from av, but this is a great video
Nice thats sick!

yeah I have no idea I have been wondering that too but I would assume mat?
You need to do some more detailing on stream plz
I will soon!
This is very helpful, idk if I'll even get into decaling
I would recommend it its sick
i want to but carving out those legs, is just a stopper for me bruh xD
Thank you. This Video was very helpful.
If you could only get one, would you choose the citadel or the nail file. I only really want to get one.
this seems like so much god dam effort
:0 I need to try this!
Its so fun!
I just saw the word "decal" and "Lego clones" and with instinct just pressed on the video.
Already have the citadel moldline remover since I use it on my 40k models

Personally, I don’t really like 360 decals as it doesn’t really fit in with the vibe of all my other figures i suppose
Wait does it *have* to be a blank torso? If it has print on it, will it show through the decal?
this very helpful but i have a question. i know that you can get av figures helmets on the av figures website but they are always out of stock so do you have any recommendation on where to get them?
Ah yeah that is annoying, at the moment theres not really any alternative sadly
Clone army customs always has blank helmets never sold out
Thank u so much for the help u earned a sub!
Lol I’m into decaling but I’m so lazy I’ve got like 20+ decals to do but only done 2 so far 😂
Ahaha I know the feeling!

How much sealant do you put in order to seal and coat it? How many times too, only once?
Just a light spray for a few seconds! Go watch my how to seal decals video
soon can you do a tutorial of a sort, or just your process you go through when doing an av figure ?
Yeah I guess I can do that! Keep an eye out!
I failed my first time so I hope I can do it now
You got this commando give it another go!!
Any info on where to design/commission custom decals?

actually i wanna know how long should i put the decals in the water, and if too long will they break apart?
bc i wanna get some of these soon
where do you get the plain clone trooper p2 helmet
Message JB_brickshop on instagram!
do u hv any alternative for sealing figs coz where i live dont sell any sealant
Try amazon?
Do you have to use sealant on the figures?
Yes 100%
How long do you soak the decals for

Ikr it kinda scared me when I first saw it! 😂
@@SW_Bricks lol 😂
Did you have any problems with JONAK Toys
This is great!
Is it 100 percent necessary to carve out the hips? Or will it ruin the figure if I don’t?
1000% necessary!

the link to the minifigs is to a random tiktok short, can you please fix it because i cant find plain white legs anywhere
Hey man I was wondering with the sealant which one is better the gloss one or the matt one??
I've heard that glossy sealing fits in better with official lego figures
Anybody know how long you should wait for the sealant to dry?
Just do 24 to be safe
Is there an alternative that I could use to the sponges like cotton balls or something?
When ever I spray my figures, they’re always really stiff. Is there a way to stop that?

What paper do they use?
do you need the micro sol set, would you say its a need or would you say not to bother
It’s just extra if anything have the sealant
Nah you dont NEED it but id say if you want one then SET is more important but neither are essential!
Hi I'm going to start decaling what decals would you recommend 180 or 360
if ur a beginner i suggest 180s due to 360s being pretty complicated
in bendle bricks ok to buy decals from
this is a normal paper?
Hey do you know of any one who sells the equipment as a begginer set
Not sure.... Try looking on Jonak and thiccy's websites
Is sealant really needed or can you use decal fixer and decal softener instead? Because I can’t find sealant anywhere
YES 100000% needed
@@SW_Bricks oh I can’t find it anywhere
Still afraid to do it... also don't think i have enough space for that...
Can you make a video step by step while you’re doing decaling

Sandstorm customs
i think ill just use my swiss army knife
Coming from the gunpla community it seems pretty easy but my wallet seems to disagree
This is soo vool
