“Printmaking is about making marks… & often times the marks put forward who you really are, because that’s a very personal choice.” Love this.
There’s something very “aged” about the last print…
I love that comment to!!
❤
Yes I do like the next to last one (that you were so pleased with).
Such fun to sit down and watch your videos. It truly is a journey through several iterations. You are nailing it with your comments and teaching along the way. Thanks Fulton.
Last two are my favorite too! Love them!
Last ghost print is also my favorite, nice design, great colors too.
I love watching your videos. Thank you. Please keep making them. I love the slow real time filming of your fascinating process. Well done!
Thanks Anna. Many high speed tutorials drive me nuts, I think they contribute to the ever shrinking attention span!
Yes the last one is also my favorite too. Awesome colors
Great textures on last one. Just the right amount of paint.
My favorite is the second to last ghost print! And the last one too 😊 Thank you always for sharing your work with us!
thanks for watching Cindy!
I just started following you a couple of weeks ago. I just bought a 16x20 plate and was thrilled to see you working with that size. I have learned so much from you. Thank you for your cool art and your teaching.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great work, inspiring and fun to watch! Thanks!
Simply amazing and beautiful 😊
Yes, Fulton, you and this work are remarkable! Love the last 2 prints.
That’s last ghost print is definitely spectacular 🎉
Wow I love these colors
I love the layering and colors, thank you.
💖🙏
Awesome job, love it😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the video and love your approach to elevating Gelli plate printing to a wonderful printmaking art form. Love to see your full registration set up at some point. I get the general idea, but if you could pull the camera focal length back just a tad, we could see the entire registration system with top and sides. Thanks again for your inspiring videos and wonderful work!
I was fortunate enough to get this printing bed as a gift Please watch ua-cam.com/video/kZp6vtwpC_s/v-deo.html
Another wonderful foray into the creative possibilities of printmaking. Thank you.
Your work fascinates me every time. What you do is always quite unexpected. Then you say ur leaving for 5 min…5 hours later ur back with our eyes still screwed to the video 😂😂
Thanks so much for watching! If you should fall asleep during the slow parts that's ok too!
Never! I wait in anticipation 😊
The last two are my favorites as well, Fulton. It seems like the unbleached titanium did the best job of lifting the ghost print. Perhaps the lightness of the application, or the drying time, or both? Thanks!
I should use much much less paint next time! Every print session is a learning experience.
@@artwhisperer88 I loved the ghosprint! I loved all of them!
yes #5 is spectacular as well as the last print!
Don - as I read through comments, I remember that I, also, liked #5.
I'm learning so much and I almost have my spare room ready for arts and crafts.
I can't wait to show you what you've taught me.
The new stencil shapes are really effective. Excellent prints!
Wonderful!!! 🎉
I especially love the ghost prints, they are so cool 😎 and very inspirational.
Just started watching but I already love the colors from the thumbnail photo!!! I wish I was in NYC and could take an in-person workshop under your instruction!!
The last 2 prints in the recap are so beautiful!!!
Very nice
Amazingly beautiful! Very inspiring, Thank you!
Absolutely loved the print with white, teal, black and sienna (or orange), so much texture! Wow.
The last 2 are well worth the wait: love the rich, retro look! Something about the teal integrates the other colors...what is it? Thanks for sharing your unique process.
I liked the last print. Could maybe think about another layer even? You didn’t seem so keen on it but these kind of prints often make you be a bit bold and experiment and then it turns out as the best thing of the day!
You are right! The ones that aren't so hot open an opportunity for experimentation. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing this process.
Great pieces-I really like your move into simpler work.
Fulton, I love watching your videos so much!! PLEASE activate the close captions feature
🥰
I always do, I use the auto captions. They take a couple of hours to take effect, sorry for the delay.
Nr 5 and 6.....so beautiful, well done ! Thanks again for sharing! (Have you tried acrylic ink? I tried one half of the plate with paint and the other half with acrylic ink, it give a different outcome)
Thanks for the tip, will try that soon!
Did you know if you soak (overnight)your brayers or brushes in Murphy’s Oil Soap, you can peel off all the old paint--like new
Will get me some Murphy's!
I would like to know how to make a registration printing bed like that... would it be possible for you to please cover that in s video? Thank you for sharing
sorry Andrew it was a gift to me from a viewer who happened to be a very skilled woodworker. You are welcome to reverse engineer it from the video. ua-cam.com/video/kZp6vtwpC_s/v-deo.html
Many of your stencils and painted designs remind me of totems. Do you ever use the plate, such that the painted design does not go to the edges?
No. I want to maximize the area of the plate.
Love this technique, do you treat with medium before framing?
Thanks
no need to
@@artwhisperer88 thanks
Thanks!
Thanks so much!
