    Thanks so much for altruistically sharing knowledge with everyone. I love the formatting with you not taking up an obnoxious amount of screen space and actually increases my personal engagement with the material rather than just PowerPoint slides with a voice. But aside from that I also appreciate that you’re not just reading a PowerPoint slide you expand on each points so there’s more content than what you just see on the screen. You are a very talented teacher, as well as content creator. Thanks so much!

    could you please elaborate on studying the "implied presence" of others, maybe with an example?

      We create social situations in our heads, so social psych is fundamentally about real or imagined people. So if you had a fight with a loved one, you might start to imagine how you either continue that argument or try to apologize.

      The slides and info in the video are not based on a textbook. However, for my courses, I use Greenberg et al. (2e, 2018) as the main text.

      Ok, fair. But please be specific so I can reflect and change if needed. Also your perception of what I said might be different from what I said/how I said. So your specific instances would be appreciated!

    "although biology and culture will often tell you the right things to do in a novel situation, we interpret the situation individually"- could you pls explain this w an example?

    • @AlexanderSwan
      @AlexanderSwan  Рік тому +2

      This could be any sort of anti-conformist behavior or expression. Generally, these are fringe aspects of culture, and definitely not related to biology, so it represents an individual choice. For example, being from a conservative culture with clothing that is meant to be “modest” and deciding to wear short shorts.
