- Today was the first time I've ever been to a Taiwanese emergency room. It was also the first time I had ever been to a baseball game. All on the same day! Never a dull moment in Taiwan.

這真的大概很難有其他地方跟台灣一樣的生活體驗吧?XD
支氣管炎是指連接氣管和肺部的小氣管發炎。支氣管黏膜上有微小的纖毛，有黏性分泌物潤滑，
淨化吸入的空氣。支氣管發炎的時候，因為受刺激而分泌過多黏液，因此導致呼吸困難或咳嗽；
急性支氣管炎通常出現上呼吸道感染的四至五天後，症狀包括咳嗽、疲倦、胸悶，或胸口不適。
真是太有緣了，竟然直接遇到溫哥華來的醫生，看來上天真的有在保護 Prozzie ，天公疼好人！🥰👌
I think a lot of foreigners get bronchitis because they aren't used to the air. But I was fine in the end!

Sorry to hear about that keep on moving forward, as for the hospitals in Taiwan you never need to worry they have first class facilities and quick to see a doctor the doctors there are first class. I'm from Australia and the hospitals there are better then any hospital here that's a fact

I love Taiwan's medical system. Universal healthcare that's cheap and fast. If you feel sick, you can just go to the doctor, and a couple hours later you'll be home with medication, unless there's something seriously wrong with you, in which case you'll be given the proper treatements at the hospital.

其實台灣的醫生一定會英文 ・ 因為醫學的書全部都是英文 ・ 病例也全部都是英文寫的 。
但是很多人只會寫的英文 這個醫生是口說也很好

It's usually the symptom of anemia to feel faint easily. If you don't eat anything that day and you have consumed lots of physical strength you might lose the consciousness temporally because your blood sugar is too low.
Baseball was introduced to Taiwan by Japanese almost a century ago and has become a sensation in Taiwan. Although the little league from Taiwan had once almost won the world championship for 20 years in a row the results of competitions for adult teams are less than satisfactory. Still It's the most popular game in Taiwan.

Taiwan has probably the best healthcare system in the world! Never have to wait too long and also those specific clinics everywhere open to 9PM or later make it so easy to see a doctor for your specific problem. Other countries could learn a lot from Taiwan!
2:53 I had bronchitis back in March or April. Had no voice for a few days and took a week off work because I couldn't really talk.

不過也要感謝自己平時有繳勞健保等到突然生病可以不用繳費一堆錢，但也要看何種病情健保是否有給付。

Fun stuff. Baseball in Taiwan is a beautiful thing. What teams are playing? I don't know! Does it matter if they win? Probably not! Is it an amazing spectacle that's well worth multiple visits to the stadium? Absolutely.

It's nice to see the other side of the story.
Oof. The only time I've had to get medical care in a Chinese-speaking country was also for bronchitis, when I was too sick to board my flight in Hong Kong, and I was really impressed with the efficiency of the clinic they had at the airport. I was flying back from a trip to The Philippines, where the pollution in Manila did a number on my lungs.
My mother-in-law tells this wonderful story about how when she was a college student in upstate New York, her and the other Taiwanese students would take a trip each year to Pennsylvania, to cheer on the Taiwanese team at the Little League World Series. Taiwan is a perennial competitor in the international side of the tournament. Though she didn't really start following baseball until my wife become a big Angels fan as a kid.
The game you went to reminds me a bit of minor league games here in the U.S., but only a bit.
So funny to see people who don‘t know baseball at all having fun at a game. There‘s no such thing as halftime in baseball, nor does one say „the baseball“ but that was a great video.

I was just in Taiwan and my friend's dog bit my hand when I first met it
In Kaohsiung. It was bad enough that I had to go to the hospital and the treatment was quick and cheap.
Watch out for stray dogs here. They aren't to be messed with

其實不用擔心醫師不會英文，台灣的醫生都是菁英中的菁英，或許有些醫生可能口說不太流利，但英文能力是不用擔心的
In an ER in Italy you would have spent the whole Afternoon and evening, you'd probably have returned home by midnight. (1st hand experience)

In Taiwan, the medical departments gather the most outstanding talents from across the nation. To enter the medical school after high school, one needs to score in the top 1% of the college entrance examination, making it highly competitive. Consequently, their English proficiency is naturally among the best.
I thought it was heat stroke at first, but the nurse said you were not running a temperature.
Most doctors in Taiwan speak English, though probably not as fluent as the doctor that you saw.

Canada healthcare system has way too much bureaucracy and administrative procedures which slow down the whole process significantly. It still operates like if it is the 1980s.
Quebec is considering adopting the Sweden model to greatly improve its healthcare system.

While the healthcare in Taiwan is cheap and somewhat effective, everything they do seems a bit vague. When my kid gets sick, or if I get sick they just shotgun a bunch of pills your way and say come back in 3 days to see if its' worked, without much explanation. The issue I have with the system is the lack of readily available information in the ER or when you speak with your doctor. It does vary per doctor on how helpful they are and how good their english can be. Its cheap because you have to much of the legwork and research yourself. You are correct in that you do get to see a doctor very quickly and the cost is almost nothing. I hope you're feeling better now, thats scary to almost past out like that.
Its better than waiting +3 hours for medical attention
I guess most doctors have a daily quota to meet, so they are too busy to make unnecessary explanations. However, if you ask questions that make sense and have enough context, they will usually answer you in detail.
