    Love you guys. Have a '65 305 Dream and just bought a '76 CB360T with less than 4k original miles!

    The combo regular/rectifier is an absolute must for the old twins.

    Thank you for your explanations! I'm sure that there are people who have had great results with Lithium-ion, but I've heard exactly the same from other motorcycle electronics manufacturers that it's not an universal solution. It's great to hear the honest opinions from the people who actually have first hand long-term experience with them, not like some stores that are just trying to sell stuff.

    Those early 70s Honda's were some well made motorcycle engines. In 75 i rode a cb175 from austin Tx. to southeast Missouri.
    and just over a year ago rode a suzuki savage with a 1972 cb 350 motor on it from new orleans to s.e. Missouri, Keep your valves adjusted, and the timing chain tight , and just keep on truckin. 🤪👍

    I installed MOTOBATT batteries in my CB 650C and Eu 3000I generator. Well worth the price.

    Another downside of the cheap acid battery is the breather tube venting. Mine popped off on a ride without me noticing, and I ended up having parts of my frame, exhaust, and battery box ruined with acid damage!

    Thanks for the video. I stay away for Lithium. If you can fit a regular battery in your battery box then do so. Save you tons of money. Battery + charger + regulator. Yes maybe is 5-6 pounds less but it that really that much. Your bike wont hate you for it just save you some headaches.

    I have a '76 CB360T. Since the AGM holds charge longer between uses does it help or hurt to trickle charge? I have a Battery Tender smart charger. Thanks for all the good videos!!

    Im in the process of a cafe rebuild on a cb360. Lithium ion seems like such a great option to keep that area behind the air filters wide open! Now you have me second guessing 😢

      Well thats why we made the video! We wanted to show you that there's tiny SLA batteries and tell you a bit more. Just research it and you'll come to a good solution. I have the full size Motobatt battery on my person cl360 right now and I think I've just about figured out how to hide it under the rear on the factory seat haha.

      @@Common-motor This is great info thanks! I did not know the AGM SLA was an option, and see your using the 5ah, which is so small I don't know why I would use a lithium knowing this.
      A few questions
      Why 5ah and whats the benefit of high ah at the cost of size increase? Can you go down to 3ah?
      Is there a video on the customizing of F1 terminals to work?

    • @Common-motor
      @Common-motor  3 роки тому

      It's possible but I've never done it. It seems like it might take up more room than just a bit bigger AGM battery that can crank the starter by itself.

    Hi I’m sure this has been asked and answered, but I have to ask. I bought the Motobatt QuadFlex Battery that you recommend. I have had it for about a month and I have not installed in on the bike as of yet. Should I charge it while it is on my bench before I install it?

    • @Common-motor
      @Common-motor  4 роки тому +1

      Thats never a bad idea so you start with a full charge. Would just recommend using either the motobatt brand chargers or a quality motorcycle specific battery charger.

      I just took a look at it actually, it shows in stock currently because we have a few cj360 specific batteries here. We have some of the normal on order that should be here within the week. Once they get here you'll be able to add it to your cart.
