  • The Tejas Mark 2 and the Gripen E are two advanced fighter aircraft designed to meet the evolving needs of modern air forces. The Tejas Mark 2, developed by India, represents a significant upgrade over its predecessor, featuring enhanced capabilities and performance. On the other hand, the Gripen, designed by Sweden's Saab, is known for its versatility and efficiency in various combat scenarios.
    In this video we will compare these two aircraft, examining their specifications, features, and potential roles in the air combat landscape, helping us understand how they stack up against each other.
    Length
    The Tejas Mk2 measures 14.65 meters (48 feet) in length, while the Gripen E has a slightly greater length of 15,2 meters (51 feet).
    Height
    The Tejas Mk2 stands at a height of 4.87 meters (16 feet), which is taller compared to the gripen e height is 4.5 meters (14 feet)
    Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW)
    The maximum takeoff weight for the Tejas Mk2 is 17,500 kilograms (38,581 pounds), significantly higher than the JAS 39C/D's maximum takeoff weight of 16,500kg (36,376 lbs).
    Range:
    The Tejas Mk2 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) has a range of 3,000 kilometers (1,900 miles), while the Saab Gripen E boasts a slightly higher maximum range of approximately 3,200 kilometers (about 1,988 miles).
    Fuel Capacity
    The Tejas Mk2 has a fuel capacity of 3,400 kilograms (7,500 pounds) internally. In comparison, the gripen e has an internal fuel capacity slightly lower 2,500 kg (about 5,511 lbs).
    Powerplant and Thrust
    The Tejas Mk2 is powered by a General Electric F414-INS6 afterburning turbofan engine, producing 57.8 kN (13,000 lbf) of thrust dry. In contrast, the gripen e utilizes a Volvo Aero RM12 afterburning turbofan engine, which provides 80 kN (18,000 lbf) of thrust.
    Maximum Speed
    The Tejas Mk2 can achieve a maximum speed of Mach 1.8, while the gripen E outpaces it with a maximum speed of Mach 2.

    I doubt if this guy actually left all those basic mistakes in the video just to bait the comments, replies and engagement from the indians :( I mean its not like you can't google the engine thrust or hardpoint numbers before making such a stupid comparison video. Atleast look at the number of hardpoints in the images of the models you used for the video.

    Both of the aircraft utilise the same engine (F414 and not Volvo for Gripen). Despite that you've made several inaccurate claims. This is basic stuff man.

      The latest Gripen E is equipped with the F414 engine, while the earlier Volvo engine was derived from the F404. The engine size had to be adapted to fit the latest aircraft design.

      @@RahuluddinGandhy Narrator mentioned that both engines with afterburner. so there is a definite mistake in mentioning F-414 engine as 57 KN (could be dry thrust) with respect to Volvo RM 12 80 KN ( WITH AFTER BURNER). F-414 after burning thrust is 98 KN.

      The latest version of the Gripen E, powered by the GE F414 engine, is derived from the F404-400 engine. This engine provides 25% more thrust, delivering up to 98 kN (22,000 pounds) with afterburner.

    I doubt that Israel's ELM 2052 radar will be used. GaN Aesa Uttam's testing, certification, and induction will occur concurrently with Tejas Mk-2 induction. India needs her own system.

    This is definitely the worst video I’ve ever seen about the Gripen E.
    LOL WOW Broh! Yours Gripen E data is very very very worng..
    For starters::
    Engine = F-414(RM-16 upg) 98Kn not 80 is Cherlie version
    fuel capacity = 4.000 liters and the range is 4.000 km not 3.200
    ceiling =16.000m
    It’s actually funny how little you know about the Gripen! Not only is your data completely wrong, but it looks like you got all tangled up with the data for the Charlie version.
    And it seems like you don’t even know that the Echo doesn’t even have a defined flight envelope yet since the aircraft hasn’t reached IOC or FOC.

    Here’s the corrected version:
    - The Tejas Mk2 is powered by the F414 engine, offering 57.8 kN (13,000 lbf) of thrust dry and 97.9 kN (22,000 lbf) with afterburner. In comparison.
    - The Gripen E’s engine provides 64 kN (14,400 lbf) of thrust dry and 98 kN (22,000 lbf) with afterburner.
    Add-on
    - The Tejas Mk2 is expected to feature 13 hardpoints with a payload capacity of around 6.5 tonnes, while
    - The Gripen E has 10 hardpoints and can carry up to 7.2 tonnes.
    Note: Tejas Mk2 specifications are based on claims by its developer and this video visualizes those projections. The aircraft is yet to demonstrate its full capabilities in real-world testing. On the other hand, the Saab Gripen E is a proven fighter jet that has already showcased its performance.
