It’d be interesting in no small part to see how the French and American servicemen get along working together in close quarters for that long. But that’s likely what we’d end up with in wartime, so we should train for that too. It’s not the easiest thing getting along with foreign servicemen, no matter who you are.

That’s because currently, aside from the US, only France operates an aircraft carrier that can catapult aircrafts and use wires to stop them when landing. So they developed the rafale marine to operate on the Charles de Gaulle, so obviously it can land on American ones (as they are bigger, it’s actually easier to land on them). Only aircrafts capable of vertical landing could land on those aircraft carriers, and because aside from the harrier which isn’t in service anymore, no one else appart from the Americans make them, so only f35 from other countries could land on aircraft carriers

The CDG is obviously smaller than US carriers but the landing area itself appears to be just a bit smaller, so it probably wasn't too difficult for US Navy pilots. Size won't be an issue for France's next carrier though as it will be the second largest carrier in the world at 75,000 tons of displacement compared to its current 42,000 on the CDG.

I believe there are universal gestures that we all understand but I’ve only ever been on a U.S. Carrier

All the French combat pilots are super trained and among the best in the world but by habit in the French armies it is said that the best of the best in our Rafale pilots are those of the Navy and not of the Air Force. ^^ I think that it's the same with you in the USA and in all the armies of the world which have a Navy Air Force on aircraft carriers.
