Airfryers are basically extreme convection ovens. They blow the hot air extremely rapidly around the produce to mimic the immersion in hot oil of normal fryers. That's why they're not very suited for delicate fluffy things, as the extreme convection tends to destroy air bubbles and disturbs the rising process. I imagine this recipe suffered quite a bit due to this fact. That said the recipe didn't look very promising to start with hahaha.
He Martin and Sharon. I found this recipe which is similar to the Keto bread you made but dds the yolks of the eggs and cream cheese instead of cottage cheese. This is the recipe. It might be worth cooking at a low temperature for a long time to dry and firm it up. When my mum made meringues and wanted them to be crispy all the way through she baked them at a very low temperature for hours. They didn't turn brown and were light and crunchy.

How to make keto cloud bread loaf Preheat your fan forced oven to 160C (320F). In a large clean dry bowl, whisk the egg whites on medium speed until stiff peaks form (about 5-8 minutes). This can be done in a stand mixer or using a hand held electric mixer. Add in the whey protein powder and Cream of Tartar, and mix on low until all the ingredients are combined and uniform in colour. Grease a bread loaf tin, and line with partchment paper (quick tip, scrunching the partchment paper into a ball, then unfolding will help the paper mould to the shape of the tin). Spoon the egg white mixture into the bread loaf tin until the mixture goes above the top of the tin. Use the back of your spoon to shape into a bread loaf, and bake in the oven for 30 minutes Once 30 minutes is up, turn the oven off and place a kitchen towel into the door of the oven to keep it slightly adjar. Keep it like this for 20-30 minutes, as this will allow the oven to cool slowly and help avoid the loaf from deflating. Remove the loaf from the oven, and slice into 10 thick slices. Nutritional information is per slice. These slices will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days, or frozen with partchment paper bewteen the slices for up to 2 weeks.

You should do the flat bread . Look up steak and butter gal recipe . Only 2 eggs needed and 1 cup cheese . The cheese must be blended first . I think you add some baking powder too .also bake in normal oven

It's a firm no from me. I have however discovered wraps made with bamboo flour - and to me they are just like normal wraps. It's opened up a lot more food options for me, and they take minutes to make.
I’m not sure about the cloud bread, but I’ve done the cottage cheese flat bread and that was nice and rolled just like a wrap. We put tandoori chicken in the cottage cheese flat bread and that was really nice.
The thing I missed most following keto was toast. The recipe that got me closest to bread used a nut flour and Psyllium husk. Sadly the Psyllium husk turned the loaf purple, it didn’t taste too bad but really upset my tummy. I had tried so many and that was my final attempt. I just didn’t eat bread. 😢 I do so love toast. Thanks for this, I always suspected this wasn’t a good substitute and you have given a tried and true review.
This tastes disgusting, I've tried it many ways and it will never be bread. I have spent 4 months and a lot of money trying to get keto bread that does not make me throw up. I'll email you the recipe to try and you can tell me what you think 😮
Always a good idea to try something once - and if, despite repeated attempts to make it taste nice, it simply doesn’t, don’t do it again! Probably needs a bit of yeast in it - the principle ingredient of regular bread is yeast - try it again with yeast - now, I’m no cook, but I think a little yeast might work - either bread making yeast or you might consider brewers’ yeast! Just a suggestion!
I can't believe you tryed this but we'll done for doing it l dont think that thay are telling the truth when thay say just egg whites and cottage cheese thay must have put something else in it for it to look like bread maybe some rice flower great video thanks for sharing ❤❤
Health food shops and Tesco for sure have dried egg whites . What about if you popped it on a rack to dry easier Maybe the cloud is the white wonder how it would keep to be honest if kept it in a fridge I guess it would be awful . Left our not sure ??? Thanks for sharing
i just googled keto bread recipes, they ALL use some kind of nut flour (almond, coconut, hazlenut ) which kind of makes more sense :) i'll also ask a friend later, she runs a keto/low carb cafe, maybe she'll let me have a recipe

Nah, not for me. I think I'd just have the occasional slice of wholemeal or a Ryvita if l was struggling. Glad you tried it first for us to watch tho. Can't say l've had much success with these sort of internet recipes.

Health food shops sell protein powder . If any help. I can’t see how it can’t be meringue . As it is. It without sugar and has cottage cheese . Only. P bit like bread is you can cut into slices . Hehe . Think I will leave that one .
Im no scientists but there isn’t any way you can make a loaf out of the ingredients. Yes you could probably make a kind of wrap but think I’d put butter oops better use of six eggs whites like a lovely meringue filled with cream mango passion fruit kiwi fruit and blueberries 😋❤

You can buy egg white powder in supermarkets. That’s not for me, but then again cottage cheese needs to just be thrown in the bin! 😂
