I grew up in a farm town village and we used to do our own cheese, bread, butter, clotted, cream, and yoghurt and many more it’s just reminded me those days. Well it was middle of 90s or something like that. Even though my mum still making her own yoghurt home-made love them.

You have reminded me how easy it is to make. I will have to get the handwhisk out, im sure it says on the packet butter how much salt per 100g is in it. Weigh your butter when it's made and add the required amount.
Also, try using different creams, like jersey or from your local farm shop. You will see a difference in the colour then. I think it is to do with how much fat is in the cream. More fat darker cream, so butter would be the same, I imagine.

Do you remember when we got nestles cream back in the day? My dad used to shake it so hard it ALWAYS turned into butter so no cream for the trifle. 🤣🤣

Very good. What is the cost of the double cream you used? Is it worth buying the cream and making your own, or cheaper to buy it as butter already made? In the US a pint of heavy cream is $3.78 and a pound of butter is $3.98. I don't think I'd make my own. It didn't look like you got a pound of butter. Glad your's turned out so well. Hope you enjoy it when cooking your eggs Martin. Sharon, enjoy on your toast. 😀
