- Here's everything you need to know if you are thinking about having Kybella to dissolve your double chin. Kybella is an injection/injectable that removes a double chin safely. Its FDA approved + its a noninvasive form of plastic surgery. Since my mid-forties, (I'm over 50 now) my slight double chin has really bothered me. I was so excited to find a non-surgical way to have a more sculpted chin again. I fully document my two Kybella treatments plus have lots of before and after photos and video. The before looks better than the after photos. The after shows more submental fullness , the skin was tighter in all the before photos

I just had my first treatment 9 days ago. I definitely looked like a bulldog for about 48 hours. No pain , but it felt weird for the first 72 hours. I'm still swollen but that's completely expected. Thank you for posting your second treatment, too. People should definitely shop around. Prices I found ranged $500 per treatment (which could be up to 3 vials) to $1600 for 2 vials. Also, not all clinics have MD's performing the treatment. I ended up choosing a clinic that is a further distance, but all treatments are performed by an MD and charged by the treatment, not vial. I can't wait to see the final results.

For about 2 weeks my chin was super wobbly, and looked even worse than before I got it. I had a cavern that started at the bottom of my neck, that went up about 2 inches in the center. It just looked terrible. But I just finished my 3rd round of Kybella, and it keeps getting better! I will be doing all 6 rounds.

I had kybella 11 days ago. 4 vials in one session. I was looking like Momma June or Nutty Professor for about 4 days. Still wearing chin garment at night and during sleep. I may get one more session of Kybella or two sessions of Sculptsure/TruSculpt after two weeks has passed of initial Kybella.

I had had Ultherapy and while it takes a while for the results to show (hence my video on that is not up yet) I can now see the difference from that on top of the Kybella. Thanks for watching!
@@TheNicoleSanchez I'm doing great! Had first session of TruSculpt today just two wks after Kybella. Saw difference from Kybella alone on frontal view of before and after pics. TrueSculpt is so hot girl. They told me Ultherapy is even hotter 😳. Kybella was easier for me and much quicker. However, I have two more sessions left of TrueSculpt 4 weeks apart.

@@kathryng8258 Hi Katt, So glad to hear everything is going great!!! When I had the Ultherapy I went with anesthesia (I was awake though - you'll see in the video). To have them go as deep as possible I heard it was pretty painful. As it wore off I felt it and wow, I can't imagine doing it without. Kybella is a cake walk compared to that although I looked totally normal after the Ultherapy. How did you look after your TruSculpt? Let me know how everything goes. :) Nicole
I just had my first Kybella yesterday, (3 v’s) I wasn’t nervous at all until he started lol... it hurt way more than I anticipated, not really the shot but for me immediately it was an intense burn, it hurt 😬 and of course today super swollen. Looking forward to see my results, have my 2nd session in a month!! I’m glad you had a good experience and you r happy with your results so far!

Did my second TruSculpt today and I still feel kybella injections much more tolerable. Didn't feel any burn but I did get plenty ice and numbing ointment. My plan includes 1 Kybella session with 4 vials and 3 TruSculpt sessions 3 weeks apart.
I'm really interested in how the ultherapy turns out. Just a quick question, does doing just ultherapy make any difference or is it only used after your first treatments. Thanks for sharing this.
Hi Eva, You can certainly have Ultherapy without Kybella and it can make a big difference. Because I had a fat build up under my chin, for me it made sense to get rid of it before I did the Ultherapy. The Ultherapy should get rid of the rest plus lift and tighten especially the jowly area. @@juicyme5181 the injections do not hurt but a few hours after you will swell up like a frog. Give it 5 hrs and you will barely be able to talk and eat. This is where I am right now.
I’ve had it and I’m pleased with my results. My downtime after the first procedure was way worse then yours but the second procedure the downtime was minimal. My least favorite part is I now have loose skin because I didn’t do any skin tightening procedure.

Hi Helen, It depends where you go. La Jolla Cosmetic Laser charges $500 per vial that you need. Sometimes they have specials so I'd expect others have specials too. When I Googled it, it looks like it can go as high as $700 per vial. I think it is a good investment since it is permanent and things like Botox (depending on how much you need) can cost $300 - $500 and only last for a matter of months. Happy Friday! -Nicole

It really did not hurt much while she was injecting it. Little tiny pinches. Afterwards I describe the exact pain level which was pretty much nothing. You do swell but I did not have a lot of pain. I think the price varies depending on the area that you live. Just ask your provider how much they charge per vial and how many vials you'll need. Wishing you all the best! :)

50 is not old and you look much younger than 50. You can see how well you take care of yourself. TBH I wasn’t too impressed with your results from the pics. It looked better to me before you had it??? If I could suggest something for the sagging and lines that you mention, a neck lift with PDO threads and Botox on platysmal bands will rejuvenate the whole area.
Would this help with the starting of wrinkle on my neck?
What made you pick the clinic you went to instead of one closer? Did you find out something bad about the ones closer to you? I live near you and I want to go to maybe San Francisco clinic or something but just wanted to find out your reasons thanks

Considering what was most likely spent on plane fare, I’m thinking it would’ve been cheaper to just have lipo done.

Hi there! I had Kybella today on my jowls. So far, my chin area is pretty swollen. I will have another round next month. I'm hoping this will help in not having to have surgery.

PLEASE. Is this worth it? Or would you get the fat removed thru liposuction instead? I just don’t want to waste my money if I go the kybella route. I think I would need 2-3 treatments maximum but I’ll be so upset if I don’t any any results. What was your experience like after getting your treatments? We’re u satisfied
Hi Marisol, I never considered a surgical alternative. If that is something you are open to, I would most certainly talk to a few plastic surgeons and ask them what the difference would be as well as what to expect for downtime, scar and result plus talk to them about Kybella and what the difference in result would most likely be. For me I'm happy with my results. Now that I'm getting older I do have a touch of the jowl thing happening but at this point unless they can fix that with more Kybella or Ultherapy, I am just leaving it alone. For some people lipo is the better alternative if they have a lot under the chin or lots of loose skin. In example, my husband has a hereditary really big chin from his Italian side of the family. If he wanted that fixed, it would be way better to go the surgical route and be one and done. It would take so much Kybella and many treatments, it would not be worth it to do that. The swelling you experienced seems minimal relative to others I have seen who had the procedure done. It must vary person to person.

Hi Marge, I was helping them with social media (my day job is a marketing consultant) and we developed a relationship and I totally trust Dr. Mani so it was a combo of things. Since I had free flights and LOVE visiting San Diego it was actually really fun. My daughter just transferred to a college in San Diego this month and my son accepted a job in San Diego when he graduates in May. You are correct, left is before. It is kind of hard to see in the photos because they are kind of dark (that is why I put the lines) but my chin (where it connects to my neck) moved up quite a bit. You can tell by the lines on my neck LOL. It's been great, I used to add contour to my neck every day I wore makeup and now I rarely do that because the fat is down so much. Hi, there is a numbing agent in with the Kybella and the needle is very thin so it really did not hurt much at all.
Am I the only one who freaked out when she didn’t get the dots on straight? Or couldn’t remember which way was right side up when putting the dots on? 😂

@@TheNicoleSanchez I had five treatments. The first one was two vials.The second, third, fourth was one vial and the fifth was half vial. I did like the results.
There are a few factors in looking younger at home. One place I found which successfully combines these is the Nendra Face Plan (google it if you're interested) it's the best guide that I've seen. look at the amazing information .

That injector is not truthful. It is painful, the swelling lasts far longer than 3 to 5 days and it does not tighten skin....that’s why it’s better to get it younger.
I had mine done today at 10am. . I did four at once. I'm still losing weight and it was suggested to me that I should do this to avoid saggy skin as I lose the weight. I have Arnica cream and numbing cream at home. It doesn't hurt except when I touch it. I keep doing it. I knew I would. I know myself. I prepared for my compulsiveness. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ And yes, swollen but not so much that I feel insecure about it. I have a little bruising on one spot but I'm ok. It didn't hurt much. I got used to the needle and didn't feel a thing in some parts. I counted 63 pins that I could feel.... they weren't painful. I bet there were more I didn't count because I simply couldn't feel them. I paid $1200 for four treatments/vials at once. I went to #BeiaMed Spa in Coral Gables Florida. It's a section in Miami, Florida USA.

Well, I really dont think its worthy :( Its mainly the same.
It is subtle but it really makes a difference. I still have to go do one more round or do the Ultherapy to get it exactly how I want it. I think I'm going to do the Ultherapy. :)
