The clunky noises under the car happens to me on my 2015 GTR, same with reverse. I wouldn't worry to much. It's a car built for lots of power, not lots of luxury. Hope you enjoy it though!
dunno if you guys cares but if you are bored like me atm then you can stream all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my gf for the last couple of days =)
I guess it may be annoying to daily a car that was never really built to be daily driven. From what most reviews and owners said, those model years Gtrs are visceral and make alot of noise and the cars feel normal only when you flog it or drives 8/10ths. Dual clutches are meant to be clunky when driven slow. Though i can't afford a GTR, i wouldn't want to daily one if i had the money, i wouldn't even want to daily the 370 nismo. Love your content and i don't skip ads lol
Very helpful video! My GTR has been making a lot of these same noises and I was starting to really worry that something was wrong, specifically with the bell housing noise. Mine is still under warranty though so I will leave it in to get checked over anyway. Thanks for the video!
Mine makes all the same noises as yours with exception on the beeping in reverse. I also hear a tapping noise coming from the front wheels when turning. I thought I had a nail in my tires but had a shop inspect them and nothing was found in the tires. I will take it back to the dealership to see if anything else is wrong...unless that is normal too. Also, I read in the owners manual that the brake pads have a high content of metal in them so that what causes the squeal. Supposed to be better for track use. Good video!
Even after replacing the bell housing with a reinforced one, it will still make noise no matter what. Noise wise, I compare it to having a lightweight flywheel, ignore it, embrace it, rip it
Yeah it's al part of the experience with the R35 GTR! I get tons of comments of GTR owners not sure if there car is broken or not. Interesting car to own! Love it tho!
I did replace my GTR FRONT pads with High-Performance Street 5.0 Brake Pads that in my opinion make LESS noice "Not Zero Noise"...I only had them for 3 months so far and don't know yet the long-term outcome, but I do know they cost less then OEM and make MUCH LESS noice.
The rattle coming from the bellhouse is in fact a failed bearing supporting the driveshaft, if anyone from Nissan says it's normal they are lying to you, possible to damage control, there are several people covering this issue, it's actually disturbing to me how Nissan let people drive around with a bearing failure at such a critical point saying it's normal cause it's not, take it to the dealership and have it fixed under warranty.
This is why I’m afraid to buy a 2009/10 and even newer used models. Read that even if nissan fixed the issues. It’ll come back eventually. Supposedly so far only the 2017 and up models they’ve finally found a remedy.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Great! my is also around 700+ hp, waiting workers to finish him, had little damage in the front but nothing serious, can't wait to feel it ^^ but yesterday I start the engine and when I hear the noise I totally got crazy. Oh cool. Yeah mine doesnt rattle all too much. But the clicking and popping in reverse is so weird. 5 years with this car and 700 HP, car still runs perfect! And makes those same sounds lol
Most of the GTR's with stock pads have the bad squealing. Very common. Maybe you have different pads in yours? But I ended up putting PosiQuiet pads on. $110, and zero noise!
Just watched this vid as my newly purchased 2013 GTR has the bell housing rattle like that. I’m hoping it’s perfectly normal but getting it in for a health check at a GTR specialist regardless. With regards to your brake squeal do you know why pads they are? If you’ve race spec pads in there then they will probably squeal. I had that issue with Carbotech pads. If you’re not tracking it put some DS2500’s in there & you’ll be all good 👍🏾
Yeah these noise are all normal! I still own this car and just finished dup going full E85 on it! The OEM brake pads were in it. But they inherently squeal since they are designed for high performance and high heat. I now have a set of PosiQuiet pads and they have been great! Check out some of our rent videos! @@BrosFOURRSpeed thanks for the reply. I’d like to just see how much play there is around the bell housing as too much will just cause to much damage long term. It’ll get on a ramp & be checked soon. You get used to it over time. I still love my car and it's been amazing! Currently at 700HP with E85 and it's a beast! Great car to buy! If you go 09, make sure you tune the transmission. Get the Cobb Accessport and update the trans tuning to the newest version so you don't have any issues.
Porsches are known to squeal really bad with their high performance brakes, I think Porsche recommended getting up to a high speed and then slamming on the brakes to a complete stop. To clear out any contaminants on the surface of the rotor that would make the squealing noise, you should try that out
Dba rotors and hawk hps pads are a great budget street setup, zero squeal and very low brake dust. Also your bell housing needs replaced, sounds like it has way to much play. The bell housing is covered under warranty. I see them replaced all the time at my dealership. Mine has been replaced as well.
salvador sanchez I've heard of those breaks. I'm looking at doing the Racing Brake pads and rotors when the time comes. If there is an issue, glad to know Nissan should cover it
I previously owned an Infiniti G37 IPL the front brakes squeaked a lot, rear brakes on my QX70 squeak occasionally. Infiniti service says it is normal but it can be annoying at times. The noises in the video weren't too bad.
I heard you can fix the squeeling by just going 20-40 mph and stomping the brakes. Just to heat them up because they are not used to the lame daily driving slow speeds and intensity. Will try tomorrow. Low and behold, my 2015 GTR has the squeeling. Did you ever try this fix?
Im not trying to be mean or nothing but i think nissan designed the gtr to sound mechanically. well the used to cuz i dont think the 2017 and 2018 doesn’t have that problem
Hi :) i just get uppdate belthouse and sound is gone! But u have any noise wen u push the brake pedal? Like press spring sound ? And is u have it any Idea how to get awai of?
hi buddy, hope you're doing well. I just got a 2020 gtr that makes clicking noise from the front wheels when i make turn at low speed. Have you experienced or heard of this issue before? what could the issue be? took to nissan they re torqued the wheels and it didnt help, now they are ordering brand new wheels. it's really annoying
I've never heard clicking from the front. I get that in the back when in reverse. Here is one thing I had to fix, but I'm pretty sure the 2020 has both pins already. A few years only came with 2 brake pad pins and it made the brakes rattle. ua-cam.com/video/e6Cfw0d05SU/v-deo.html

Every car needs a transmission lol. My car has never had any transmission issues. GTR's in general are super reliable and you shouldnt have any issues with it. The 2017+ GTR has a much smoother transmission that doesnt make as many noises and clunks as mine. The noises and clunk are norma for it

The beeping was only for a few model year cars. Are you referring to the bell housing rattle or the rear end popping in reverse? Both Nissan and a performance shop told me that was all normal. I still own this car, and everything still runs great
The bell housing issue is common and does need some work to get rid of the noise. It’s a common issue on these. I’m guessing you haven’t had it done yet? It’s the bell housing rattle issue

My reply is a bit late to this comment (I'm just watching the video now for the first time), but adding lubricant to your brakes seems counterintuitive and dangerous
I might buy a GTR today, an 2015 black edition and that bell housing noise did concern me on the GTR I’m plan on buying. Thanks for this video. It was helpful.
My 2015 GTR doesn’t have the backup beep and brake rattling. The pins for the brakes are installed too, but weren’t done by me (2nd owner) I am happy to live with the noises vs going to another car, as the GTR is fairly quiet inside so you don’t hear most of these very much. Place the car in comfort mode and it’s even softer and quieter. Overall, I absolutely love the GTR.
since you have a warranty those noises are not normal if you ask me and the brake noises are definitely not supposed to be doing that get it checked out at the Nissan dealer have a mechanic check it and see what they think. Brakes should only make that noise when they need to be replaced
You can check the play in the driveshaft leaving the bell housing to see if it’s within spec or not. If you can easily see it moving it’s most likely out of spec. You should do it and post a video. My bell housing was replaced around 30k miles. Also, the reverse clicking isn’t normal. Mine has never done that. When was the last time the fluids were changed in the rear diff and transmission?
For the tiers you must change your pads because they are used too much. The GT-R is an almost 2000 kg car and i think that you have to change the pads. That's my opinion
I have a upgraded 2017 Bell housing, TSB clips, recently serviced Transmission with filters done. And the car checked by a Certified GTR Tech. My transmission is noisy as hell. And all is perfectly normal according to the tech.
Damn, all those noises in a $75k car? It does seem like it needs work, even though it may not be falling apart. People will snicker at the little things like these.
And yet I get comments on the daily from GTR owners about these concerns. You don't own one I'm assuming. But a ton of owners, who this vid was intended for, really appreciated the vid. Have an awesome day and don't forget to smile :)

Scotty kilmer said akebono brake pads don't squeal. Don't know if they have GTR pads tho
So many better options out there. WTF wants to pay $100k for a 2015 🤣
What would you buy instead? I owned it 5.5 years, enjoyed every minute!
@@BrosFOURRSpeedAny 911, some McLarens, R8, M4, AMG GT…the list goes on.
@@MG-ge5ii cool, all good options depending on what you’ll enjoy.
Like I said, absolutely loved my GTR, sold it for a lambo. My brother owns an R8, but I’ll be getting another gtr some day. Such a blast to drive!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I definitely agree that they are extremely fun to drive. They are a supercar. I have a 2010, but I could own a $140k Porsche for what I’ve spent on this thing. What kind of lambo did you get?
@@MG-ge5ii 2014 Gallardo. My childhood dream car. I don’t think I’d spend over $95k on a GTR tho. Loved mine for $67k. Sold it for $75k years later tho
Clean the throttle body and replace carbon cabin filter. A big difference result you will see.
The joys of owning a performance car 😩 When I engage the S Tronic box it makes a glocking noises.Yeah my breaks sequel too.Put a squirt of WD40 on the callipers.Once you wash the car you have to do it again.
My reply is a bit late to this comment (I'm just watching the video now for the first time), but adding lubricant to your brakes seems counterintuitive and dangerous
That squeal, makes it sound so cheap lol. Oh well all is forgiven once you accelerate.
Yeah that's the one thing that really sucks lol
Those brakes would be a deal breaker
hel ya dude, lets never hget these ha
lol
hopefully it's just normal, but I can see how the brakes can be super annoying
I have a 2014 MY and i don’t have the “break” noises and not the beeeeps when driving in rear mode
Typical Brembo problem... same on my audi....
Everything else is OK but the break shit and squeaked out loud so just check them here and there
Needs a new bell housing
No its actually fine. Just the sounds the GT-R makes. I've owned this now for over 2 years, never had an issue
I might buy a GTR today, an 2015 black edition and that bell housing noise did concern me on the GTR I’m plan on buying. Thanks for this video. It was helpful.
You should here the Zs with a single mass flywheel that’s a wack sound
Mario Oiram Coronel Lopez Yeah both of my Z's made some clutch chatter
bro..we can hear your breaks sqeal 😂.. just move to the next point
It was awful tho! Ended up swapping pads to PosiQuiet. Had them on the car for 4 years with no noise and they only cost $110
Yes, after owning a GTR for 1 year. It's a normal GTR thing.
I'm on 4 years now with this car. All adds to the character! using 700 hp now too. Amazing car!
I feel my driver side engine bank has a slightly louder ticking sound compared to passenger side. Any one else ?
Hmm, interesting. You can certainly hear the valve-train on this engine. I have listened close enough to hear if each side makes different sounds.
Can u do a video of the gtr vs r8
TG3 Random Vid Media, they have one a few videos back. They did launches and overall comfort
Do you need better quality Brake pads
I'm early, better make a joke
weird gtr noises
Reverse click is normal, my new 2020 is the same and has1800 miles
Yeah it's cool to hear the drivetrain sounds for sure
Hello, did you ever get any feedback on the reverse clicking. I’m experiencing that same problem.
Nope. It's just how it is on a few of the year cars
Bros FOURR Speed ah I see so nothing to worry about I hope?
If I bought a gtr and the brakes made that noise I’d be cheesed. 😕
Do you have squeaking noise from taillamp when you drive?
Never had that before
Dude I'd go to the dealership and bitch them out to fix that shit.
+Bros FOURR Speed nissan told me they make a new brake material in Japan that causes that noise
I’ve never experienced the reverse click noise. The rest are normal.
Edit: never heard the brake rattle
Jason The clicking is only with the front wheels turned and going up hill. So maybe just the rear tires spinning at different speeds
Yo what’s up. I live in Spartanburg right near you guys, I’m trying to but a new car should I get a 370z or a 2011-2013 mustang gt I can’t decide
Kaqer 370 all day 🇯🇵
Gtr all day
Great info! Mine makes the same sound underneath too, that explains it 🙏🏼
Yup! It's all part of the design lol. I've owned this now for over two years. Still running strong!
Nice!! I only got mine back in March, exact same color as yours inside out but it’s a 2016
@@tauseefbaksh5278 Oh thats awesome!! I love the red interior! Can't get enough of it! So you have the cool headlights! ll
Bros FOURR Speed Love the look of the headlights
I thinking of starting a UA-cam channel with my GTR, you look real successful, can you give me some tips on getting subscribers and views please?
My 2015 GTR doesn’t have the backup beep and brake rattling. The pins for the brakes are installed too, but weren’t done by me (2nd owner)
I am happy to live with the noises vs going to another car, as the GTR is fairly quiet inside so you don’t hear most of these very much. Place the car in comfort mode and it’s even softer and quieter. Overall, I absolutely love the GTR.
4819385 2015 they fixed all the rattling n squeaking noises 👌🏽
Blow off valve? 😂
Just go though bunker branding for merch
since you have a warranty those noises are not normal if you ask me and the brake noises are definitely not supposed to be doing that get it checked out at the Nissan dealer have a mechanic check it and see what they think. Brakes should only make that noise when they need to be replaced
BIG brake brembo a hot its normal this sound
Rip
Theres alot of stupid gtr drivers that need those extra beeps facts bruh
You can check the play in the driveshaft leaving the bell housing to see if it’s within spec or not. If you can easily see it moving it’s most likely out of spec. You should do it and post a video. My bell housing was replaced around 30k miles. Also, the reverse clicking isn’t normal. Mine has never done that. When was the last time the fluids were changed in the rear diff and transmission?
GT-R Marine I'm not sure on previous flushes. But at 30k I'll be doing trans, diff and steering.
Bros FOURR Speed Sounds good! I have done this myself twice already. If you need any help let me know. I have the service manual for the GT-R.
It's definitely normal bruh
Johnson4567 Hamid Lol that's good
For the tiers you must change your pads because they are used too much.
Yeah I'm used to it by now. And all those sounds just add character. Weird car. But it's such a beast! My car now has 700 HP on E85. Epic fun!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I'll get there soon. I am FBO minus intercooler on E85 and at a modest tune of 600hp.
Trans clunking at low speed before stop sounds really weird to me... was wondering the trans is broken
Btw I own the 2017 one
Horrible junk. Omg. How the fuck they can sell those car like that?
Damn, all those noises in a $75k car? It does seem like it needs work, even though it may not be falling apart. People will snicker at the little things like these.
Hey I actually hear funny noises from my C7 Corvette as well
Really? lol
Bros FOURR Speed well at least my friends say they hear things haha
cgarnerspeed252 So do you hear it or do your friends? Lol they’re trying to trip you up.
UnitiveWILLIAM24 good question, I hear it but it’s not something i feel like i should be concerned about. Haha do you own a C7?
You should make a smile per gallon shirt
I like the idea of that!
masonb1100 what channels? I want one
U brakes are messed uo
1st mahahaha
This guy's just overreacting, all high end sports cars have these common issues 🤐🤐
And yet I get comments on the daily from GTR owners about these concerns. You don't own one I'm assuming. But a ton of owners, who this vid was intended for, really appreciated the vid. Have an awesome day and don't forget to smile :)
reason why i will never buy a gtr its a pieace of shit
They squeal so much cuz it’s such a heavy car that’s way they say the r32 is the real Godzilla and it’s not a race car it’s street car the r35 is probably the worst gtr ever made
Its a nissan not as reliable as toyota but imo its way more reliable than the others
