I grew up in Korea and this is how most Koreans cook rice with a rice cooker.
As per the instructions, do NOT wash the rice in the cooking bowl, it will scratch it in the log term.

No. You have to rinse it thoroughly; at least 3 times to remove all of the starch. Once isn't enough.
You know you could fill a bathtub like 4 times with 1 average shower? If you’re that worried about wasting water, do you part and stop bathing :)

rice doesn't taste good if you rinse just 1 once. maybe you don't cook Asian rice
