Can’t wait to see the Robin driving up the road, followed its progress for years. We had plastic pigs for years when I was a nipper before Dad passed his test 👍
I always bag up bits and write on them, so if I’m not at work a colleague knows what goes where. Baby frank is not so baby now he is getting taller and chatty. Great video Martin keep up the good work 👍
Looking forward to seeing the rebuild. Please be careful though on reassembly Martin,as at the ends of the bridge pieces that you removed from either end of the block there are little tiny cork packing pieces. These are often overlooked and disposed of.You should get new ones with your new gasket kit. Please dont inadvertently chuck them away thinking they are just part of the packing for the new kit......
I’ve waited years for this to be done. I was going to try and buy it . For my son’s wedding. He is now married with a daughter. So maybe Martin. When it’s finished. I’ll still trying and buy it off you. For my granddaughter wedding. 😂
Wow there is some gunk in there. Tap and turn , i will remember that one. Well done finding the pin. If i drop stuff its normally gone for ever lol. Very interesting video Martin. Catch you in the next installment .
I watched a video years back, the original trotter van was auctioned and it went for £38,000. That sludge was probably because of mineral oil and never been serviced, synthetic oils are a lot better and contain detergents to keep the engine cleaner.
Enjoyed that my first car was a reliant regal then a Robin I got them from Cropleys just outside of Boston only had a motorbike license they got me all over the country. When I got a car passed my test without lessons with all the driving I'd done in those. That was only 30 Yr ago wish I'd kept the Regal
if your going to the trouble of a rebore and pistons ,may as well get valve guides and new hardened valve seats run on unleaded worth pricing it when you go to machine shop
Have you thought about returning the van to factory instead of a trotter van considering how many are out there, could be worth more money that way, just a thought! Love the content 👍
Hiya you said your do a video on putting the electric windows. I bought some for my transit mk7 And I will be fitting them soon. Was it straight forward.
I have waited years for you to get back on the trotter van

What do you mean "normal bloke"?
@@retrorestore not in a big massive workshop just like myself messing about in the shed relaxing
@@barryjones6214 but I am a normal bloke.
