  • This video talks about Excel Radar charts (also known to some as Spider charts). After a demo of how to make them the video walks through the 3 ways that you can scale your data to prepare for charting and some of the alternate options.

Hey man, loved the video. I'm just starting to get into all of this Excel wizardy that I had no idea existed until a couple of days ago. Unrelated to this video, I've been killing myself trying to figure out how to use data validation for the purpose of being able to choose a set and rep scheme from a set and rep database. I essentially want to be able to choose say, "3x2" from my drop-down list, and then have some warm-up sets as well as the 3x2 transfer over into my template from the set and rep database. So, through data validation, how am I able to choose a singular category ("3x2", etc) and have multiple rows and columns associated with that "3x2" carry over into my program? Any point in the right direction would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Yes you can do this - you need to create lookup tables that specify the reps and load for each scheme. Then you need to configure your template to find and insert these numbers based on a drop down box selection. I made a video series 47-49 that shows this and you can email me for the files (my email address is listed on the videos) EAF #47 - Create a Multi-Week Strength Program Template
