Alma and Fundy National Park would have been well worth the stop. It does seem that every trip we take there ends up being a long list of places that we could have stopped, but end of the day we cannot stop everywhere either. Thus of course the need for another trip :) Saint John is a very nice small city. Lots to see and do. Continued safe travels....
I’m glad you had a good trip to this point. We were at Ponderosa Pines in early September. We had the site to the right of the trail. Hopwell rocks is fascinating to visit at high tide and then walk on the bay floor during low tide
Impressive! Sorry but Chris’ demonstration wins the award as she was able to do two different movements with both hands at the same time! That’s coordination😂😮😊
Canadian here! Love your explanation. We live on the west coast (alberta) where fuel is 1.35/litre right now. After the conversions fuel is sometimes the same or just a little more than the US. We find that it's actually more expensive for most things like groceries, restaurants after the dollar conversion
@@amyfawkes6153 Did B.C. separate and Alberta become Canada’s new inland west coast. Thought Alberta was in western Canada not on the west coast of Canada.
Great video! We are slowly Driving from Wisconsin to the keys and filled up in Missouri today for $2.94 a gallon for diesel, and of course 1 mile later it was $2.89. So Canada is quite a bit more.
Those birds in the reversing falls look like loons. That’s what the loonie ($1 dollar coin) is named after. We were actually there the same time last year.
To give a comparison for how much they paid for Diesel in Canada at $6.66 a gallon at the air time of this video, compared to Diesel per gallon in Texas on 11/13/2024 at $3.09 a gallon for Diesel. That is still a $1.79 more that they paid in Canada to the prices in Texas, granted their is some fluctuation in the time and prices at the time they bought Diesel to November 13, 2024.
Reversing falls were something to watch. We were there for the transition. Only stayed one night in St. John and that was the main thing we saw. Think we stayed at that same park but don't remember for sure. My wife used to have relatives that lived in St. John.
Re prices - we live in NH. My husband is from Cape Breton and we had a seasonal site there for about 12 years. We gave it up and didn't return this past summer. Combined taxes on gasoline in Nova Scotia plus the incredible cost of food (especially out in Cape Breton) drove us away. We stayed in New England (mostly VT and NH) is summer. But, when we hear US folks complain about gas and food prices down here, I tell them they're lucky they don't live in Nova Scotia. And they don't believe me! Even with the 'US discount" (currency) it's still pretty expensive.
So the water changes directions here in Texas as well. Not so drastic but still does the same thing. Does it everywhere there is an inlet to gulf or ocean pretty much. Responding to y’all’s video at 2:20 - 3:00
Hope you had a chance to visit the Irving Nature center in St John. We were not impressed with downtown St. John but got the suggestion for the nature area.
Chris was so funny in your opening. That water flow was very interesting. Saw $2.65 for gas the other day. Didn't notice the diesel price. Looks like a fun experience!
Love your channel! However lol we been waiting for the update about cops being called when you were in the outer banks and also would love to know what happened and why on your independent suspension since we’re getting that upgrade. Safe travels
LOL. Actually for fuel conversion into usd you cant used the conversion rate from the ATM because there is a sell conversion rate and a buy conversion rate! Banks need to make money. You want to know how much your Irving refuel costed in USD. RIGHT now when I buy your money it is more like 38%. Also credit cards institution take 2.5% fee for conversion
That's what I came here to say, when I saw $0.78 USD to $1.00 CDN. The Canadian dollar hasn't been above $0.73 in ages. You paid $4.80 USD per U.S. gallon, if you don't factor in what it cost you to convert at an ATM
What month are these video. I was in Newfoundland in July and met a group who on tour with Fanasty Tours, the departing ferry off the island was delayed by 5 days. And Fanasty Tour picked up extra days and rescheduled everything for them.
I don't think "Hotshotting" means what you think it means. Hotshotting is to travel from one place to another with a load that is often "time sensitive". The term "Hotshot" came from Texas oilfield companies where trucks and trailers were used to deliver parts QUICKLY to oil rigs around the state. "Hotshotting" doesn't mean pulling your RV across the country.
did you check the diesel price at Costco? yes, not hard to find groceries in the Maritimes, but hard to find organically grown foods. you can find a ton of white bread and sausages, though!
Hi guys; we’re watching this at 7:43 on 11/10, and the time on your video is 28:37 (I’m not sure what you were asking for). We love this video (and all of them!) but are wondering about a couple of earlier ones where you got the ceramic coating on your fifth-wheel as well as the alternate slide toppers? We’re wondering whether after this long it’s worth doing it on our rig. Waxing a fifth-wheel is a pain, and our slide toppers are in danger of being worn out from winter winds. Would love to see a review vid if you get a chance! Love your stuff and love seeing where you go (we’ve been fans since early in your van days!).

(its dirty up close of course) But then washing it is easy and then it really shines! The toppers are also performing awesome and after having days of 30-50 mph winds we know we made the right decision! Appreciate you watching for so long!

For your fuel purchase. You'll probably get a better conversion rate by your credit card company.
