    In southern China, it is also rare for people to make tongue warps.
    Zi ci si and zhi chi shi are pronounced the same.

      it seems easy for us at first, but then we realize that many words resemble each other and we can't tell what people are saying, so it's way more difficult.

      @@Anonima-1819 yesss, like i hear someone saying "wo shi" (i am) and then they are actually saying "wo chi" (i eat)

    I just want to know if I'm the only one who hears zhi, chi, shi as though they've got an R sound at the end. That's all that gets me...... It GETS ME

    • @hiimcortana1568
      @hiimcortana1568 4 роки тому

      Yes.. it is like a Retroflexing sound which to English speaking people would sound like an American R sound.. but it is a little bit different from the way R is pronounced in English.

    Hola my Mandarin speaking amiga. Really like how you stress the physical aspects of the mouth to pronounce correctly. Been watching different videos and I'm glad you came across. One question. Couple times you said a word I couldn't understand. You said I believe, "You "POUND" your mouth?" Sounds like "pound." It's at the 4:32 mark on the video. Thank you. 🙏😊

    I have watched several youtube videos I like this one the best because you focus on the 6 letters. These six pinyin are definitely the hardest to vocalise. Because I write music I find I learn the Chinese characters easily.
