Im also a fan of the "boom toad", as a DB Main, you dont have a good wake up move, but the toad explosion also gets doubles if the monster is sleeping. It will deal around 1000 dmg if your alone, whats pretty neat
Same as SnS main. Sleep toad > blast toad is a nice break and wake.
@@stryker0ae SnS is my second main, the uppercut deals nice dmg, but the toad is sligthly stronger, even more in MP

@@jiyanrazon the timing is quite close, also the range of that attack, the bomb would deal the first as it must be placed in front of you. So i would say no
I usually just use the lunge with barrel bombs since it doesn't knock me back and then I just go from there
More tip on Starburst Bugs:
If you are wyvern riding a monster with elemental attacks you can use their own attack to apply elements on the Starburst Bugs before bonking them into it.

That's nice but probably still less than ideal since most monsters aren't weak to their own element blights, they last a very short amount of time only
@@robingoodfellow8097 Also, there's some monsters that don't inflict elemental blights with Wyvern Riding attacks, either.
Just so you know, Rajang's laser is actually considered raw attack, not elemental.

Something really usefull that I found while playing is pressing the - button when ordering dango for level 4 bird caller. at level 4 it always doubles the effects of spirit birds. When hunting casually, epecially with dereliction or with friends, for the cost of the first 1:30 being spent you can easily get max everything. super convient especially for stamina heavy weapons. DB main
Ots really the best defensive option, to max out ur health with the petalace that gives you that super high health bar.
That plus the full defense buff of +20 makes the hunts routinely much more comfy. Also the huge attack boost when it's full make chirp chirp my go to #1 dango.

Also, on the subcamp of the citadel, there are 3 attack+ spiribirds right outside one of the exits, pretty useful for those extenuating fights
can we just talk about that spear squid real quick. imagine youre just casually talking a walk in the jungle. and you see the ruins in the back and want to explore them. theres water your have to walk through, but its ankle deep. no biggie.
you start walking when suddenly a squid jumps out of the water darts right through you. cleanly
For the palamute silkbinder, I've regularly had the issue where the palamute pulls it out when the monster starts falling asleep, and it auto attacks even when we have our weapons sheathed, waking up the monster.
I really wish we had a command to get the palicos to just fxxking stop attacking. I've had hell with killing popos for quests, and I doubt there have been any people with no problems with it.

Also, note that you can use the palamute pouch for craft. Extending your pouch capacity. It's pretty useful for elemental gunners.
I wanna comment to boost engagement but dont have anything to say so ill drop a tip that helps me:
If you use the dango sets but still wanna see if a special dango is active without going through the extra menu (like the carving one or insurance) set them on the first set page and name it the skill! Theyll light up when avaliable so you wont miss em!
also follower quests gives you a bunch of armor and weapons (the armors are actually pretty solid too)
An even easier way to get MP Accelerants and Melding Puddings is through the "Malzeno Amiibo date-scumming lottery" technique. It's not for everyone but if ya have that amiibo, aye, you're golden for talisman farming!

7:38 this confused me for the longest time and because I would neither stand on them, shoot them down with kinsect mark or kinsect itself or an aerial attack but we saw from the trailer that they can fall. took me forever to figure out only the Kunai can trigger them.
I don't know if its diving wyvern specific, but I usually accidentally knock these down when playing with glaive in this area, but only with diving wyvern
Bowgun can shoot them down. I think you may just need to try harder?
Fun hint about rajant: his beam doesn't have a hitbox right under his head so if casts it while he is on top of you, you may not have to dodge

Son of a bitch! Unless I"m doing something wrong, they fixed this somehow and I keep getting the same results. I followed what TDS said, so they must have changed something.
Edit: I was wrong fortunately. I was using a moon meld to advance the rng to try again, but it doesn't work for advancing the Anima RNG, so had to switch to using one Anima meld when trying again.

Another tip: For those of use who use lighter, faster, and not as hard hitting weapons: If you bring a cat with you and give them the Bombardier Cat's Secret Support Move, you can use the firework bomb as a wakeup attack. I've had it do close to 2000 damage on wakeup, which is way stronger than anything my Insect Glaive can do for a wakeup. Sure, the Fireworks are generally less useful than the Lotto Box, but I value the wakeup ability it has very highly, since I exclusively play weapons without a good wakeup attack.
This was one of the smoothest segways into the sponsor I ever seen,even didn't skip it out of respect

I feel like the melding trick is not really working properly, whenever i reset and set the one melding order it just takes me one step further into the sequence but the rest of the charms is as before
opening scene, Rajang vs Hunter but the true threat is the incoming two hermitaurs ready to claw swipe.
I use that armor and the HP drain is rough. Great tip, never thought of it! Gonna try it out

Actually, I had figured all these out on my own except for the MP Accelerant trick and Thorny Toads! Neato!

You don't need Turing or Ampere series Nvidia Cards (2000 & 3000 series) to use upscaling, you can use FSR with any GPU, at least it is super easy to set up under Linux. Also, without any upscaling you can use the Rise Tweaks mod to further adjust the Image qualtiy, as between 100% and 150% there are no smaller steps, for example 125% looks pretty much identical but you get way more FPS.
The single most important thing I've discovered is bird caller dango used with skewers. At level 4 it doubles the effect of every spiribird you pick up. If you also run a spiribird rampage decoration, it has a chance to triple the effect. The long term time save from this is just huge and I will never not run it in the first dango slot.

For acquiring the melding accelerant, is blinding bargaining the best? I was unsure if the accelerant/pudding counts as a rare item and have been using breakneck bargaining for increased item quantity.
Another thing with the starburst is if you unload your Gun Lance shells into them it give them fire attribute
I don't know if it works with Super Recovery Dango, but you can also drink an immunizer before eating the gourmet fish for a faster healing effect.

Sadly, DLSS does have a visual side effect where you can sometimes see rippling affect around the screen.
Palimute pouch is nice for over capping on ammo combines if you are dumping a metric ton of rounds

How op environment traps are? Yes, i got 6 helm breakers of a scorned magnamalo while I didn’t even get hit, i just used the blast toad and the rest is part break
More people need to go get blast Boi, sleep Boi, para Boi, marionette, and puppet more often they are such useful tools you can use to make hunts easier and control the monster
Wait how do you order your melding items based on quantity like shown in the melding trick section? Idk if I am blind but I didn't see that option
So I play HBG. When trying to get my Palamute to go Gun mode, do I have to use Counter Shot? Or are there other Silkbind attacks for the HBG?

Another tip on starburst bugs for gunlance users: if you don't have an elementary weapon, your shelling will give the bugs the effect of fireblight
One of the glaring weakness of DLSS for mhrise is that they remove the fur from everything. Although I have a GPU that is capable of using DLSS, I didn't turn it on for this game

I recommend you simply dont run dlss or any anti aliasing
FXAA simply blurs the image, that's it
TAA makes still-image look good, but moving image becomes "soapy", edges blur and wash away when you look closely
DLSS does the same thing as TAA, at least in MHR, if anything it highlights the dotted shadows which look really bad
Just run no AA at all, when you stand still it might look bad and jagged, but it looks the crispiest in motion, since your PC is not trying to emulate anything, it just displays the pixel it needs to, there is no wishywashy effect, you can clearly see everything while moving around
Something else interesting I noticed about the starburst crabs - if you don't have any elemental ammo on a bowgun, an explosive like wyvern ammo will give them a 'fire' attribute. Not sure if barrel bombs work, come to think of it.
In World, Wyvern Ammo did a tiny amount of fire damage as a second hit. GL Shelling is also partially fire damage. Idk about Sunbreak, but that might be why it grants fire to starburst crabs.
Wyvern's Fire does a little bit of fire damage, that's why. Blast powder also applies Fire to Starburst Bugs.
does the reroll work or was it fixed? just got sunbreak a few days ago and finished it just now
i played around with the dereliction-effect pretty much and i think its the best to use for ranged-weapon-player as i for myself as GS-Player think it is not the best for meelee. But still i have to say i had bloodlust as effect used at the same time so maybe it was a too risky set but i think with the qurios draining your life with the bloodlust effect kicking in and recovering the hole red bar it is a pretty good combination. but pretty nice video!
I've been using a dereliction set to boost the raw damage with GS and slotting in offensive guard. It makes the strong arm stance counter do insane damage if you time it right. Slot in one point of guard up and you can counter pretty much everything with strong arm, even a rajang beam.

I don't even use status on my two silkbinder palamutes, they have a decked out ranged attack setup for me combined with partbreaker and the two of them are dealing more damage and flinches than most randoms I've played with in sunbreak
Wait, dereliction is time-based? I thought it's bound to to how much life the quirio drained, but if it's just 50 seconds thats way easier to build around. Thanks!

@@Gamerrelm1.0_relm yeah just tested it. The reincarnation rolls are different from anima, but will only reset via the method mentioned in the video. If you have the stack of charms you can check both anima and reincarnation, then reset.
Has anyone confirmed if talisman trick still works? Cuz I got the same ones when I did it
