You guys are the kind of bands that should be played main stream. The lyrics are meaningful, the musicianship is outstanding. You guys are seriously on point!
Marco, thank you for your kind words. The only legit help we can get these days is when those who like our music spread the word and/or bring it to attention to the powers in charge. But we are neither young, or pretty looking, or a circus act of some sorts (a lot of those out there), so the chances are rather slim. Fortunately, that doesn't impact our goal of sharing our art with the rest. It's a privilege to play this music and a lifelong (and never ending) pursuit for excellence and truth.
John book The Jazz Drummer's Workshop is piece of work! He takes a four bar phrase. Has you learn it then move the entire phrase over one quarter note and learn it again. Sounds very different. Then to get deeper take the entire phrase and learn to play it backwards. Lean how play each bar backwards. Learn to loop each bar. Lean how to loop half of each bar. Learn how to play each half a bar backwards. It creates all kinds of new stickings and challenges the ears. Smoke coming from ears.
it is for sure. "Again and Again" is a Latin-based tune around C concert with no be-bop lines involved. look up my website to connect and forward me your email there. I'll then gladly forward you PDFs of both songs for comparison - that is if you read music and can go through your own analysis based on the notation provided. most certainly Chick is one of my early inspirations, so there is a connection no doubt, albeit more abstract at that.
Chick is my favorite musician and I'm sure it would be splendid, no doubt. I've got two new records coming out in 2019 with John on them. Stay tuned...
@@georgerynar8785 , feel free to subscribe. I usually announce these on my youtube channel. There is already a video preview of one of these albums on it, posted last week I believe. Enjoy and thanks for your compliments. The recording above was done six+ years ago, so I hope I've gotten better since...

I don't know who this pianist is but he stepped out of a dream I mean he's about to put his own mark on jazz.

Is this Pavel's original tune for sure? Sounds like "Again and Again" by Chick Corea.....

Riley's cymbals???
I don't believe 'acoustic bass' is the right term here
one of the more common ones actually. one can also use upright bass or double-bass.
