So glad I stumbled upon your video! I FINALLY understand light weave! And BONUS, slow vs fast light weaving! Thanks so much! I will look for more of your videos...
This is a very useful guide and i like that it comes from a fellow console gamer. The portion where you show the difference between slow and correct weaving will be very useful to us trying to squeeze a little bit more dps. Kudos to you.
Typo for the Fast Weaving example. It's supposed to say "Example 2". Also, forgot to mention on PC there's some weaving metronome add-ons that may help. Aim for a Weaving Average (seen in CMX) of less than 0.100. High end parses will have Weaving Averages between 0.01 and 0.04.
Hi there mate, thanks very much for the very informative video. You've been very helpful, especially the part where you talk for slow and fast weaving. Currently I am at 63-65k and my main issue, after I talked to a few high parse friends, is my weaving average. On cmx it shows 0.061 and my friends told me that I should practice my weaving to go faster than that. Final note, your parse music selection is awesome.
I appreciate it! 0.061 Weave Average is good. You could bring that down a bit lower but it's only gonna get you another few K dps. If your gear and CP is fine, then your issue might be your rotation. Are you following the static roto exactly? Does your gear have correct traits and enchants?
@@Fraktahl Sorry mate, my mistake. I did your static rot today, hit 70k, my weave averade is at 0.436, it was 0.61 before. Keep in mind I still don't have all passives, my skills are not maxed all of them and I need to make a few changes on my gear. Currently running no mythic, Iceheart, Order's body and Pillars jewels and weapons. I am missing a Zaan medium shoulder to replace Iceheart and probably I need to change my Order's Wrath gear too.
@@antigonegeorgousaki3365 Ahh I see. That makes much more sense haha. Yeah weaving speed is prob your main area of improvement then. If it helps, a lot of people like to think of weaving as a fast heartbeat; the Light Attack and Skill cast are 2 heart beats. Your gear is fine for now, but yea you'll eventually wanna replace Order's with a Trial set like Relequen or Whorl. I bet you can hit 85K+ in your current setup with a weaving average
Last question, do you think it will be beneficial for my dps to get Kinras and replace Order's with that or is not going to make a difference and I should go straight for one of the Trial sets?
Is this Dual wield and Inferno staff still able to hit around 120k+ I have the same exact gear and set up and I can hit 109k but my parse can definitely get better with timing and weaving, so just making sure it can still hit 120k+? Thanks!
@Fraktahl Okay, sounds good, hopefully I can get the parse down soon, I am having sustain issues but I have to keep my pots rolling which I have to get better at, but hopefully I can get it down soon
@Fraktahl I finally managed to hit 112k, I am going to stop it there, can get higher around 116k to 118k but honestly I am happy with 112k lmfao, thanks a lot for the video man! Helped massively! This is funny because if you look at the comment above 3 months earlier, I was newly getting back into the game and was ass with Julianos and Mother Sorrow and had no idea how to optimally DPS. Now I am attenpting HM on trials and DLC dungeons lmfaoo, thanks bro!
Heyho, thank you for the rotation. Very comprehensive and brought me to 90k and I am still learning. I am on PS5 and have a problem with the start of the rotation. Trap, la, eruption, la, pede, la, carve, la, carve, la, venomous... right? I tend to loose my first rele stack when I go to the fb the second time for venomous. Do you have a solution or is it simple practise? Second question would be the transistion into execute. Around 10%ish, put all dots down, dawnbreaker, spam whip, in between talons? Do you have a hint when to use dawnbreaker best? Thank you for your work 😊
Can you explain why use talons on parsing? In content i get it, it is amazing aoe but in parsing why? Shouldnt a fully buffed flame whip cast do more damage? Sry if this a noob question and thx in advance
Talons and Engulfing make you do roughly same Single Target damage but one nice things with Talons besides the AoE in content is the stam sustain since you cast less Whips. Sometimes you run out of Stam when using Engulfing.
Hello, are you using ulti pots for the parses and if so, have you tried parsing without them? Have you any idea what will be the dps loss in parsing if not using ulti pots? Thank you
Yea I'm in ult pots for the parses. I havent tried without them but I can later tonight as I also wanted to test bow backbar. Usually you'll see a dps loss of 4-5k using tripots.
@@ApolytoMhden Sorry my internet been super spotty lately. Can't play on pts without lagging hard. I'll make a post with the results as soon as I can! Prob in a week or 2.
@Fraktahl I’m returning to the game only left after update 35. What would I go into content with as a ZensDK. Before I left I was wearing worl + Zens with kilt. I heard everything’s changed now. So I’m asking what would I pair Zens with and is it on the front or back bar now? Also is the back bar still maelstrom greatsword?
You can still do a damage set + Zens. But often it's Zens + Alkosh now with Kilt and Monster Set (Alkosh front, Zens 2H back) Maelstrom 2H sucks now. It's better than nothing, but Maelstrom inferno would be much better. You could also do 1 Monster piece + VMA Inferno.
Hello! Thanks for the guide. In your DW/Inferno setup, can I use Whorl of Depths on the body (instead of relequen)? Since its light armor and not medium.
For static rotations, since there's some overlapping or downtime, I think it's only a 1-2K dps loss (as seen in the video). BUT if you do dynamic, then the difference is probably closer to 3K.
Yes, it's actually really good for bosses with huge hitboxes, like the dragons in vSS or probably Taleria in vDSR too. It's not used much outside of that though.
Hybridization made this a bit confusing. But ill try to keep it simple. Basically it depends on: 1. Are you getting Major Brutality or Major Sorcery? If only Brutality, then go Weapon Damage. If Sorcery, then Spell. If both, then move on to #2... 2. Are you getting Minor Brutality or Minor Sorcery? If Min. Brutality, then do weapon. If Min. Sorcery, then Spell. If Both, then can go either way. Degenetation gives both Maj Brutality and Maj Sorcery, and the Trial Dummy gives both Minor Brutality and Minor Sorcery so you can go either Spell or Weapon dmg in this case. (Side note: DKs also provide themselves and teammates with Min. Brutality)
So I don't have the best gear setup but I have all Divines Purple Law of Julianos and Mothers Sorrow with Slimecraw monster set. I am Dark Elf with around 600 champion points using inferno staffs with almost the same abilities slotted as you, but for the life of me I can't hit shit. I changed my stone to Lover for maybe more penetration but no luck. Any advice will be much appreciated!
That build setup is fine for starting out. I think eventually you'll wanna replace Julianos with Pillar. Tzogvin is another decent choice. Of course, you'll want Trial sets like Siroria or Relequen too. On the Trial Dummy, the Lover mundus is basically useless. So just stick with Thief. Other than that, it's just a bunch of practice. You're prob missing 5-10K dps from missing CP. For a little more damage, I'd go double Daggers front bar if possible. You can also farm Normal Maelstrom Arena for an Maelstrom Inferno for your backbar. Lastly, Slimecraw is good for solo/dungeons but is pretty useless in trials and the trial dummy. Ideally replace with Zaan, but Nerieneth or Stormfist are good options too.
@@Fraktahl Gotcha, thanks for the reply! But shouldn't I be able to hit harder, I am only seeming to hit in the 10Ks. I am using molten armaments for major sorcery, have minor force from barb trap, and minor force with slimecraw, and I make sure to hit 3 ardent abilities before spamming whip, the parsing I can get better on, my major issue is I can't hit for shit, will be lucky if I can hit above 20k, what can I do to hit harder with the staff rather than switching to say dual wield? Thanks!
@@Most4Wanted4 Hmm, is this on the Trial Dummy? It'll be better to get your Major Sorcery from Degeneration. Minor Force from Trap is fine, that's normal. You don't need Minor Berserk from Slimecraw for Trial Dummy tho, cuz the Dummy gives it for you by default. You also don't need to do 3 Ardent skills before every whip. Just 100% whip spam. And apply Ardent skills as they run out.
@Fraktahl I am doing it in a guild members house on a Target Stone Husk with 6M health, is that the same? And gotcha, I believe it runs out in 15 seconds, so recast 3 ardent abilities then go back to whipping? Lol and my major goal is to hit harder when I do dungeons, it takes me forever to kill even one enemy on vet dungeon because I am hitting low, is it my spell damage, it's 3k and spell crit is 55% without any buffs, I can go up to 4.5 k with major sorcery n 3 ardent abilities buff, is that the culprit? Thanks for your help!

Great vid ! Just confused for the DW 2H setup what bar would igneous weapons go on ?
It can be on any bar. You just swap it off before actually starting a dummy parse. See my parses at the end of the vid if confused still.
Hello! Thanks for the guide. In your DW/Inferno setup, can I use Whorl of Depths on the body (instead of relequen)? Since its light armor and not medium.

So you put on Igneous weapons, cast it and then replace it in the bar?
Yes. Although this is optional because Degen gives the same buffs. But prebuffing Igneous is nice so your first few DoTs are buffed.

as a person having played GW2 a lot i like your name, even tho that prolly isn't the meaning, since the spelling is different
Does this rotation work with zens or should I swap an skills out
This would work with Zens too! I think the only change I'd make is if you're using 2H backbar, swap Degen out for Engulfing. The rotation is the same.
What’s the dps diff between zaan and slime + vma sword ? :)
I'm guessing Zaan setup will be 4-5k higher. VMA 2H only does like 2-3k dps I think, compared to Zaan's 5k-ish and an extra 2-3k for Burning procs.

Would you change any of your CP if running dagger + staff on khajiit instead of elf?
Nope. Keep the same 👍
What's the dps difference from perfected to non perfected rele?
Usually about 1k dps, but the Perfected Bonus for Relequen is 1096 Stamina so it doesn't benefit a MagDK at all in terms of dps
