    I've not practiced Wing Tsun for many years but I love seeing your videos and remembering how powerful a correctly-applied technique can be at close range. There is something very special about this martial art.

    Excellent! I have been working with the concept of crane limbs snake body recently to amazing results since you showed some of it yrs ago. I wasn't getting it until just a few push meets ago I decided to try it again. I started gongfu in shape boxing Wu Xing Pai so am very familiar with old animal shape spirit boxing. I used to mainly use Crane when doing WC liking the low telegraphed power coming from the subtle join rotation on stable frame. When attempting Snake body/crane limbs I ended up mostly using snake engine with WC restrictions which is ok but less effective than snake boxing for me. Though I make no assumption to being right on this but I think I may have found it. My arms move like crane very stable and hardly even having to bend at the elbow to generate power because the snake body generates tons of it and the Jin is passed through the arms like we do with weapons. The arms do not strain since it's the body maneuvering them for control and striking using their various positions. The power shocked me when I pathed just a little jin through my "crane" arm which didn't move or put in any direct effort taking most of their breath and sending them a good 8 ft before they landed. I practice Fa in various ways from various traditions and studied some Divine Palms (Iron Buddha/Tiet Lohan) but had never had so much effect with so little physical or or mental effort. I was asked to try it by several people and the power is scary was honestly being delicate with them only giving maybe 10-15% to launch 8' which if focused instead of dispersed would drop most people. Even 15% would have entirely blasted the air out of them. I can see why some masters of the past build their system around it. I am very interested in learning of the orthodox training and history of development.

      Fajin (Explosive Power), can be used with any kind of Strike... from Vertical Fist, to Hammer Fist, finger strikes, and even elbows. I dont understand how anyone can ask such a question. Its easily applicable, at any range, with any technique. Its simply a different power delivery system, maximized to ones fullest potentials.

    When you loose your arm its like striking with a 5-7pounds bludgeon,add sinking the center of mass and exaling and this is the"amazing"results.No need to bring in 1700 superstitions or pseudo-mystic believe.

    • @SifuSergioChannel
      @SifuSergioChannel  Рік тому +1

      Exact, what you describe is the first step of 6 further steps, nothing to do with superstition but we have to give credit to where the technology came from, the fusion of two specific Emei and Fujian white crane sets.

    Great, he can throw his hand from top to bottom - he approaches his partner step by step, but the distance the fist travels to the target is always the same - nothing with zero inch power-

      Tai Chi, and many similar arts... were not ultimately designed for mere "Health". Tai Chi, for example... has like +10 different bladed Weapons, within its teachings. To be the best at destroying a Human attacker... One has to study Human anatomy in depth, and know how the body functions... As well as to build your own body to the best possible potentials. Thus... In the process of Combat development... also came the discoveries on to Heal the body, and how to develop it to do things that are well beyond the normal martial artists scope (especially WAY beyond the modern Sportized arts).
      Tai Chi's "Internal Power" hits, are beyond Lethal, with less than two inches of runway. Ive used this same technology, to easily Knock out several disrespectful fighters... via a Vertical Fist to their foreheads. I used Less than 6 inches of travel, from my mostly extended lead guard hand... and I never used more than about 15% of what I was capable of delivering. In fact, three of the fighters that Ive KO'd, were from the same Jujitsu school... at their Open House sparring event. Normally when sparring, I do not use KO level forces... however.. they were being extremely Disrespectful... so I decided to teach them a Lesson about Respect. I dropped three of their Blackbelt level fighters, one after another.
      At the end of the event... the Audience members, and many of the fighters that attended... were coming up to me, to ask if I would teach them.
      Sure, most of the Tai Chi teachers... Only teach the Health beneficial form work / Qigong. However, the full art, contains all of the Combat aspects, as well as the health / body changing exercises. Also, many of the modern internalists teachers, are not Fit, nor combat conditioned + experienced. That is not the fault of the art itself.. but more so, the fault of Lazy practitioners. That said... a person can look fairly small, or over-weight... looking out of shape... and yet these practitioners are still capable of Lethal level responses.
      I suggest you actually step up and volunteer to take a short range strike from a quality Internalist practitioner. Feeling is Believing. Anything can be "Faked", and or "Looks Fake".. but when you feel it for yourself... you cant deny it.
      I typically demo short range power strikes myself. I have always used a phone book in front of the chest, to provide some additional protection.. as most of the impact is concentrated in the center of the book... and the softness of the pages, helps absorb some of the impact forces. Even then, its a real shocker to those that take the blow. However, one day I was doing a demo for a guy that claimed to have done some boxing in his past... and at the time... I didnt have a phone book available. I assumed that he must have had decent core strength, since he was a former boxer... and was tough enough to eat a decent strike... so I decided to do the demo, with my bare fists. However, rather than hitting the chest.. I opted to strike his abdomen... as its a lot safer of a target... especially for someone with strong abs...
      I believe I used about 3 inches, and maybe 15 to 20% max... on my strike. The dude was gasping, and he was in utter Shock at how much power I delivered to him. Especially since back then... I think I was a mere 160 ish pounds. He quickly became one of my private students. One day he revealed to me... about the day we met. He said that the strike I dished him... almost made him Poop his pants (literally.. not figuratively).
