That'd sound like a graduation speech I'd listen to over and over again until I get bored. As long as "Be excellent to each other. And... PARTY ON DUDE!!!!!" is in that speech I'm definitely listening to that speech

No, those other five were his conspirators. Four of them got hung, Dr Mudd some how avoided the gallows, since he was the one that fixed Booths broken ankle. His descendants are still appealing for the Military Board of Corrections to pardon him. Considering the President of the United States could do it with a stroke of his pen. Hasn’t happened yet.
My middle school VP would always say "Be excellent to each other, and I'll see you out there!" at the end of daily announcements, anyone else from Foothill, Mr. Roe?
Hadn't seen this movie in a long time, and I realized that Bill and Ted never mention future events to each of the historical figures (Rufus probably told them not to) or they just knew not to say anything to them about it. It would have been interesting if they did, for example warn President Lincoln about his assassination, and Joan would be burned at the stake etc, etc just as they are being dropped off back in their own time.
The entire history report video isn't shown, which is a bit of a bummer, so I am going to comment about a few things here: 1. Billy the Kid never really gave his views on San Dimas. 2. While in San Dimas, Socrates didn't do any of the stuff that he was describing. 3. Even though we think that Ted got everything wrong that Socrates was mimicking, they still got an A+ on the report. 4. Napoleon gave his report in French, but Joan of Arc didn't. 5. Napoleon gave his views of the water slide, but not of bowling.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the grade had more to do with how well Bill and Ted gave their report and how accurate the information was. Despite the inaccuracies, everyone at least enjoyed it.
I just got home from being ejected from an Easter meal held by my girlfriend's MAGA parents because of my Abraham Lincoln "Be Excellent To Each Other And Party On Dudes" shirt. It wasn't because I was wearing a t-shirt or anything, I intentionally dressed down because I knew the dress-code was going to be poor-casual. And one of the cousins was wearing a Metallica t-shirt, nothing too crazy just a black shirt with the silver logo. But somehow mine was really offensive. Well it wasn't until one person decided they were offended by it and it turned into a mob mentality and everybody jumped in. I'm still not sure how it offended them, whether it was Lincoln worship or just deemed too liberal a message for their MAGA get-together. It's not that they're anti-partying either, her dad grows and sells pot and the mother is in the final stages of chronic alcoholism.
We all need to learn to be excellent to each other.
And party on dude
Too bad it's never going to happen
And party on dude..lol
yes, and party on, dudes
And party one, dudes.
So many of the actors who gave life to so many of these great characters are gone. Rufus. Lincoln. Socrates. Beethoven. All have passed on.
Awww :(
This is a sad fact, but they were amazing actors, and I hope their memories live on in the spirit of the movie!
I don't look at the credits that much.
Why'd you have to ruin my Sunday bro? That sucks.
Not So-crates.
Here after the Bill & Ted 3 announcement, just to say Party On, Dudes!
Is it weird at all that I choke up a little when Lincoln calls Bill and Ted great gentleman?
@@michaelgreen4558
It came out 30 years ago.
Hell yeah!
It's a perfectly human response.
Well they’re great enough to unite the entire world so I’d say they’re near perfect gentlemen
I just shed a few tears too dude, it's ok 😅
RIP Robert V. Barron (actor who played Abe Lincoln)
Can anyone imagine this as a graduattion ceremony speech?

You know Lincoln was a great person when you think of him and are moved by his story... even if you are not American, as I am.
I know this is corny and cliched but I still feel inspired every time I see this
1:17 the look on Mr Ryan's face ! Gets me everytime 😭
This part of the movie made Abe Lincoln my most favorite President. USA USA USA!

Mine, too. Anybody got a tissue?
I loved this movie sooooo wholesome I agree we do need to learn to be awesome to each other but some people make so hard to do so
That beard is still epic after all these years.
I find it funny that Abe Lincoln said PARTY ON DUDES!
I know. That was so random. How does he know that saying in the first place anyway
