    Nick 100% described Pisco because he's in law school about to graduate and every debate he's on he just talks all types of legalese. He uses big words and a lot of legal vocabulary and Nick just stated at 10:46 that most law students at the end of their education can't help but sound so stuffy and so lawyer-like. And it's so true it's because they're wrapped up in their education and talking legalese 24/7 the whole time they're in law school. And Pisco is the perfect example of that. I hope over the next year or two he calms down with how stupid he sounds and levels out his vocabulary to sound more human. I'm sure he will be able to carry on more friendly and normal sounding debates with a little bit of legal terms thrown in here and there.
    if you watch and listen it all the lawyers on the panel here on Nick's channel and Legal Bytes, they've been lawyers for 5 to 10-20 years and they sound like normal people who just are educated in law. They don't sound pretentious and stuck up and using every other word from a law book. I think Pisco would benefit highly from watching people like Emily D Baker and Nick and Legal Bytes to show that you can carry on debates and normal conversations without sounding like a law school robot.

      Important to note that Defamation and Libel are two different things. The Sun only had to prove that there existed a scintilla of possible evidence that Depp hit Amber even once.
      Also important is that much of Depp's evidence wasn't allowed in the UK trial. Most important is that there was only one fact-finder in the UK case, the judge. The judge admitted to focusing primarily upon Amber's testimony which, without the evidence that was excluded, Depp's team was unable to effectively impeach.

      @@hasseo1 that makes more sense - i watched the legal eagle video as well & apparently the lawyer for amber heard said "if he abused her even once it isn't defamation" so not sure if that's similar. but idk enough about the differences between the laws to judge.

      I would urge you to read about the uk case which was against the sun article and not Amber heard. They could not even bring in evidence against her and they relied on her statements, so no cross even since she wasnt there physically. The judges son also worked for the company that owned the sun and he was friends with Amber, so biased to all hell. Also of you watched this trial which I doubt you did, they could not prove him to be the abuser and even more showed alot of evidence tgat she was the abuser in all shapes and not only edited photos to fake bruises, but staged scenarios and ilegally recorded not only him but also her supposed friends and blackmailed them to not testify against her. The truth is actually very scary and also to expect perfection from victims when they are men is very misandrist. He admitted to his drug abuse and the texts were sent to his friends not Amber, while she is not only admitting to physical abuse but also continue to gaslight him into believeing no one will stand for him if he comes out. If the jury for once even saw Johnny as an abuser he would have lost and that is not even counting how hard demamation is to win. All people went into the trial believeing Amber was a monster but Johnny would loose since its almost impossible to prove malice and yet by the end even the most reluctant of people just did not see Amber winning with all the evidence against her. Stop downplaying abuse when its men cause imagine that was your son or brother what would you say. Against all odds Johnny rightfully won and in reality if roles were reversed and she had half the evidence Johnny had no one would blink an eye to send him to jail and throw away all benefit of doubts. Do not be a hypocrite for the sake of all victims.

      She hasn't been sentenced yet. One of the charges was dropped and the maximum sentence she can receive was dropped from 65 years to 55 years which as a 60 year old means she's fucked regardless.

    he said a "net of 13 million" because he has to pay the 2 mil out of the 15 he gained

    • @RealmRabbit
      @RealmRabbit 2 роки тому

      Bit late to this, but really you can't get 5 million in punitive damages in Virginia since its capped at like 350K... The 5 million is just what they felt like he deserved I think... So really it was more of a "net of 8.35 million" if you do the math since yeah, he still had to pay the 2 mil so 10 mil + 350K - 2 mil = 8.35 mil...
