If you want to try a single serving before making a batch: 2 oz (60ml) Gin 1/2 oz (15ml) Aperol 3/4 oz (22.5ml) simple syrup 3/4 oz (22.5 ml) lemon juice 3/4 oz (22.5 ml) grapefruit juice 1-1/2 oz (45 ml) sparkling wine Incidentally Steve's specs make 8 servings of the above...
steve man I love the smile EVERY time you poor a drink omg....this is better than a brand logo. This smile makes me SMILE every time and its just amazing. This remind of me of my dad who also used to do bartending as a hobby not as his main job but he died...its ok alright. This channel helped me through some dark times. Thank you!
This looks delicious. When we make "punch" to serve groups of people we don't usually measure stuff, we just throw it together. You gotta have a lot of fruit tho, the fruit seems to suck up the alcohol and will get you lit when you eat it! Hope you had a great Christmas or holiday or whatever, be safe on new years
For all here are the specs if you want to do a single serving: 6cl Gin, 1.5cl Aperol, 2.25cl lemon, 2.25cl grapefruit, 2.25cl simple syrup, 4.5cl dry sparkling wine (1cl = 10ml) [2oz, 1/2 oz, 3/4oz, 1.5 oz]
42 degrees Celsius yesterday for me in Melbourne a nice cold day today which is nice. and pretty sure it’s going to be around 27-36 degrees over the next few days
My buddy in Sydney says its 44 Celsius today so that cocktail looks perfect for a NYE in Aus! Well done and congrats on the new gin! Happy New Year from the States Steve!
Here in Germany it's really cold, but on NYE we'll still have all the cold drinks xD! Love your videos, they really inspire me to mix some more cocktails👍keep it up & (as we germans say) Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr!😁
You could/should/ maybe want to/ do a whole episode on building batch cocktails...? I have only seen batches of margarita for the most part, but it would be nice to show up at party with ... Maybe... a batch of Rob Roy's or Sazerac's, which even as I write seems impossible. I know when I have made batches in the past it just becomes a kind of high octane fruit juice, as opposed to cocktails (insert belief that cocktails are more refined than alcohol laden fruit juice). Is there a particular set of cocktails that lend themselves to "Batching?" Just a suggestion...
When you prepare some lemon juice some hours before you start doing your cocktails, doesn't it get a bitter flavour? Is there any trick to avoid this from happening? Congrats!!! Best cocktail channel!
Dave Arnold did some research about this.. lemon and lime juice is actually better when it’s ‘aged’ 4-10 hours - but goes bitter after 24 hours. Grapefruit is best between 1-3 days and orange is best under 30 mins..
I recently found your channel and only watched your 2020 videos so as soon as this video started and you said i'm Steve the Bardender i was like no you are not... wow tha beard makes the difference :)
Great video! I would love to se more drinks like this that can be served to a lot of people without having to mix them induvidually! Or tips on regular drinks that could be made in the same way!
Hello brother you are looking so good thanks for the new year cocktail....wish you happy new year...... wish you all success in your future endeavours.... from this 2020 new year... thanks for the cocktail. Take care yourself and your family and friends.
Gin is my favorite. I tend to use Hendricks because it's gluten free and I have an allergy. Is the one you created gluten free at all? Because I would love to add other types of gin to my list.
Yep, no gluten in the botanicals we use and we use a grape spirit. Even if you use wheat as a base, the gluten doesn’t end up in the final product due to distillation..
@@StevetheBartender_ Steve the Bartender That's what most gin companies have said, but some people can still have reactions so I just steer clear to be safe. I want to be able to enjoy my drinks for the entire night, not only the 5 minutes before my stomach takes a turn for the worst. Thank you for the response! I'll have to get myself some of your gin for my shelf at home! :)
Asked (and got) Cocktail Codex (mixology method book) after watching tons of your videos! Thanks for the simplicity and great shots of the videos! Cheers m8! To a successful 2020! 🥃🍸🍹🤙🏼
Happy New Year Steve! Sorry it's so hot in OZ, you could trade places with me... it's a balmy -3 celsius with a 20 mph wind in beautiful Cleveland,Ohio today. :P
Hey Steve- Great video!~ If this drink is sitting around at a party for awhile, would it be better to leave the ice out, and just put it in the glasses as served? Thanks!
Hi Steve Nice Cocktail. But what kind of bottle do you use for your simple syrup et citrus juice? It's look like Absolut Vodka small bottle (200ml) without serigraphy. Right? Please let me know! Cheers
I buy them by he pallet from a company in Australia.. I have them listed on my website too: www.cocktailkit.com.au/product/2-x-200ml-belle-bottles-empty-flint-glass/
This is an awesome idea, already on the hunt for one of these jars with a tap. Had a party last night and I was making cocktails from your videos all evening, the French 75 was everyone's favourite with the mojito being close second. Had loads of fun doing it :D
@@StevetheBartender_ Sure did ! ( Not sure, think I already sent a reply ...I shouldn't be sending messages early in the morning , with a bit of a hangover! ;) )
hey steve, won't the wine bubbles dissapear over time? wouldn't it be better to pour wine directly to your glass instead of the pre-made batch? cheers!
What cocktail are you making for your NYE celebrations!?
- CHECK OUT MY NEW GIN: bit.ly/threefold-gin
Beer, I'm from Germany no other drinks are allowed...
Have a great start in the new year everyone!
Florian Geyer + jagermeister / schnapps? 🤣
I'm pretty sure I'll be drinking margaritas and sparkling wine all day
@@StevetheBartender_ I'm not a fan of Jägermeister as I made some bad experiance with it, but I would go with his Italian brother the Ramazotti
Scotch and Soda, unless you ask then its champagne :P

Thanks for posting the single cocktail...This in one of my go-to drinks and I don’t have space for a huge batch. And thanks Steve!!!
Careful they're a hero
I was just making that math and saw this comment. Nice one man, thanks
I made this recipe yesterday for my birthday. Best cocktail I ever had.
Can I replace the sparkling wine with something else?
2019 you made me a better "hobby-cocktail-mixer", looking forward to get even better in 2020 with your help.
Yeah, same here

Just stumbled on this and looking forward to mixing this at a BBQ or something
Thank you very much, happy new year. Zero dislike show how much the audience likes you which is rare on youtube.cheers!
I'm not normally a gin drinker but I absolutely love the new ThreeFold Aromatic Gin, especially with grapefruit and Capi Grapefruit soda.
Lol, I agree Colin 😉
and the smile ofc 4:35
I'm glad we still got the smile, even though he wasn't shaking the cocktail in this recipe!
When he put the ice, I was excepting for ... "GIVE IT A QUICK SHAKE" with the FABULOUS SMILE but no ahahah

Amen to that! Freezing my ass off over here. Man I miss the Caribbean!

I made Long Island iced tea, Pina Coloda (on the rocks style) and a Margarita mix and had them at our Christmas party. It was great and easy.
The video editor is vicious today on calling out the word slips. Happy new year!!
This is one of the great recipes from Maggie's book. Simple, straight forward, and a great time saver.
Holy shit. A cocktail suitable for a Northen Queensland summer. At this time Le the year.

Ooh more batch cocktail vids would be good. Easy for parties.

Try substituting aperol for Campari in an Americano for a less alcoholic more aromatic drink, especially for the summertime

A citrus forward gin.. there should be plenty of local options.. otherwise Tanqueray 10 grapefruit notes that will work well.
Ounces bro ounces!
Description bro description! 🤣
Sounds delicious 🤤
It was pretty tasty 😋
Can I substitute the grapefruit for orange or tangerine?
Imma need a proxy for the gin to buy it
Looking sharp!
you have a beautiful smile.....God bless you!!!!
Dang no shipping to the U.K. :/ was looking forward to trying it. Happy new year to you Steve
Sorry Luke! Hopefully later in the year... 👌

Tanqueray 10 has a citrusy profile (specifically grapefruit)..
