20:00 in the original advertisements they showed Powder looking out angrily, but it was Vi's arms they had there. SUPER great marketing, threw everyone for a loop once they saw this episode
Powder's abandonment issues run so deep she doesn't say "why did you hit me?" when Vi slaps her, she says "why did you *leave* me?". She probably didn't even feel Vi's hit. She's willing to take any abuse from Vi if it means being with her.
I am so impressed with you Laura and how confident and open you are with the reactions now. It is great that you are sharing the Arcane together and getting us all ready for season 2. Can't wait to see your reactions to acts 2 and 3. Great job Magy not spoiling anything and your are right it hits harder the more times you watch. All the best.
I love these reactions when some is introducing someone else to the show, because we get a fresh reaction to the hell of this episode, and also the heartbreaking anticipation from the one that knows what is coming. Great reaction.
The first time I watched it I didn't cry much, but later on when you already know what's going to happen to the sisters, episode 3 weighs so much more.
ya, that scene hits harder if you already know what's happening. Magy trying to keep it together when the whole scene starts and failing like instantly ...
This episode really tore me up physically and emotionally I felt so sorry for powder all she ever did was wanted to help. The way powder said to silco that vi left her really broke my heart. 😢💔
I really like your emotionality, Magy. ❤ Empathy is very strong! It's great that you can feel people like that. Hold on. And such moments make you want to hug. =)
-Goodbye lyrics Episode 3 (Vocals by Ramsey): I can hear the sound of a heartbeat before it goes out Won't ever leave my memory of bloodshed all around And I can see a tear on my father's face before it falls out Oh, my enemy, how could I have ever let you down? Oh When all these trees saw us grow Cut our teeth and make our bones right here We'd play with shields made of stone Share our dreams and sit our thrones Be still, 'cause I see smoke up ahead and I got steel in my hands We will return like warriors, I swear, that we'll find glory up ahead Tell me: Where is my home? I don't recognize the faces anymore, no Where is my friend? The one I've known since I was only just a kid I think it's time to say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah It's time to say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah It's time to say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah It's time to say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah Is it time to say goodbye? Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah It's time to say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah It's time to say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah It's time to say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, woah Mm, mm, mm 💜
Magy really orchestrated things masterfully between the intro and the outro 😂 well done! Silco's narration at the start while showing us that flashback between him and Vander - masterpiece. Viktor and Jayce make a great team, constantly pushing each other, each wanting to prove their worth to the world. Vi holding off Silco's goons while Clagorr and Mylo helped Vander escape the restraints - this entire scene keeps you on the edge of your seat. Powder's little toy finally worked and what tragic consequences it had - our supporting characters died, Vi injured, Vander ended up sacrificing himself and somehow, Silco came out on top. Vi lashing out at Powder after realizing what she's done is one of the most heartbreaking moments in season 1. Mylo's words about Powder being a jinx hit so much harder now. Silco taking advantage of Vi's abduction and Powder's fragile mental state really nails down just how horribly wrong everything went. Thank you for the emotional reaction and discussion, you've done a fantastic job ❤
I see some ppl get mad at Powder. She is literally a small child. She is dumb. Children are dumb. She was trying to save them and made things worse. She definitely deserves some punishment or something like that, but she doesn't deserve ppl actually getting mad at her or thinking she deserves what happens (I have seen some ppl act like "she did this to herself so she deserves it). Imagine a kid sees their parent go unconscious behind the wheel of a car and the child grabs the steering wheel and accident gets into a horrific car accident. In this hypothetical, if they never grabbed the wheel everyone would be fine and no accident would happen. That is the kind of situation powder is in. How would she know things would be fine without her? It looks like they are all going to die.
Uh oh. Here it is. EDIT (after watching): WOW!! What a reaction!! It's clear that this episode REALLY affected you. Congratulations on making it through. The show does a great job of setting viewers up with a false sense of security, and then hitting you like a truck. It isn't until the end that you understand you haven't been watching a hero origin, you've been watching a villain origin.
So one day I'd started watching a video called Trying to Stan the Music of Arcane. Then I needed to run an errand and I was standing in line and I listened on my headphones. And he got to Goodbye at the end of Ep3 and his analysis made the hit home even harder and I was standing in line with streaming tears hoping nobody noticed and thought I was nuts lol
I thought otherwise honestly. The guy is on shimmer and woman’s catch up. And if not silco would probably find them and kill them all including powder. That’s just what I think though
I have never wanted to climb into the screen and hug an animated character more than I did when Powder was bawling her eyes out in episode 3...she only wanted to help, man...😢 😭 💜 On another note: Massive props to Mia Sinclair Jenness on voicing younger Powder. She absolutely killed it! (Granted, everybody did)
Powder's voice actress killed it, that emotion was rough
She said she imagined how she'd feel if something broke up her and her brother
VI voice actress is amazing as well
@@lahey4850 I guess he's talking about young Powder here
@@OnlyCualquiera oof true
And she was 11-12 years old at the time of recording. Absolutely incredible! 😲

This episode is why the show is sometimes referred to as Ar-pain.
Is it tho? The other one is more heartbreaking imo
@matejkacmar325 It isn't the only reason but it is one of the big ones.

Fun fact, (grown up) Powder (Ella Purnell) is also Lucy from the new Fallout show! Also she's british so her voice acting is even more impressive!
Actually, Power is a different voice actor than you know...
@@benhill70 yeah yeah I was tired and excited about arcane when I typed that 😂😂 you right tho

Seriously! The way they got me rooting for Powder to go save them after figuring out how to make her monkey bomb work... and then.... well.... 😰

The Base Violence Necessary for Peak
This episode is so heartbreaking 💔
The Super sad part is that everyone probably could have escaped the factory at least if Powder hadn't done anything. :(
I thought otherwise honestly. The guy is on shimmer and woman’s catch up. And if not silco would probably find them and kill them all including powder. That’s just what I think though
Magy 😭❤
Welcome to real Arcane experience 🎉
Congratulations jinx, you did save vi
This episode is devastating

Hi Magy
this guy really just posts "Hi Magy" on hundreds of her videos how creepy 😱
You guys get spoiled somehow
