We live in harmony with all religions. So you will see beautiful mosques churches temples and other places of worship. Do not be surprised. That's just how we live and we don't even notice our differences until visitors point them out just blend in and enjoy the diversity

Where you got your groceries is actually a small supermarket - prices are generally higher from such sources - if you find a market (they're in pretty much all neighborhoods, with the big one in the CBD about 15 minutes from where you were at), you'll notice the pricing difference!

Very tasty. But you should also have had sukuma wiki (which is like kale and very tasty, especially with fish). Looks like the fish was tilapia (really yummy fish). Kenya is predominantly Christian but we do have a moslem population. I hope Kenya is good to you. Karibu! (Welcome! in Kiswahili). Too bad I'm in Boston.

Welcome sir. Some tips. Big stores are Naivas and Carrefour. Have pretty much everything. For fruits and veggies there's Ngara market which is like 10- 15 minutes walk from where you started this video. Enjoy your stay sir.
You can find really huge birds around the city, especially as you get closer to Nairobi Nat park. These scavengers roam around that area because the park is close and they eat the left overs from other animals.
The culture u wont find in Nairobi, get a local that takes u to the villages...and the Swahili culture is at the coast with the Swahili people a good overview of dance and music u find at the "bomas of Kenya" its not far from Nairobi and around the corner from there u find the famous Giraffe Center...ask me for Tips, I lived there for many years. Karibu Kenya!

Your meal looked delicious! I watch a couple of Kenyan vlogs and ugali is definitely the staple with meals. Can be made with millet, cassava, or other flours. This video must taken over the weekend - I saw the clock on Kenyatta Avenue reading 3pm. Now during the week, at 3pm, these streets would have been packed to the brim... He would not have been able to walk easily like that recording without bumping into several people and cozing chaos...😂😂😂 Coz he started by walking through Moi Avenue street, and then made a 90 degree change and walked along Kenyatta Avenue towards IMF towers before branching off to go to Kosewe's for the fish and Ugali. The 20 sinks are because this place is packed to the brim during the week, finding a table to seat on would have taken time. I also noticed from the camera angle that the guy is kind of very tall and so maybe the 'interesting guys' on the streets were like 'maybe we don't want to disturb him.' I wonder if they could have disturbed him if he had gone to River Road or something. On a side note - we really have to teach visitors how to eat Ugali properly for maximum impact! Unatengeza otonje kubwa sana, unafinya hiyo otonje vizuri kwa mkono yako halafu unachota nayo supu vizuri, unatumbukuza ndani ya mdomo yako...😂😂😂

@@Vasper79 English can never be on its way out for Kenya. The way Kenyans dont even speak correct Kiswahili on the streets? We speak a form of slang which is a mixture of Kiswahili, and some English, and some of the local languages - and so these slang varies from region to region... The slang that would be spoken in Western Kenya is slightly different from the one spoken in Nairobi or Mombasa, but we all understand each other. Correct Kiswahili is spoken though in formal settings and in schools where you are expected to learn Kiswahili as a compulsory subject from nursery school to high school level. We will always have English and Kiswahili as our 2 official languages, plus out entire education system form daycare to University level is in English and I don't see any Kenyan accepting that we change that to Kiswahili. We are proud to have both languages to unite the 48 tribes of Kenya, and to unite us with the rest of East Africa, even Africa as Kiswahili is being adopted as one of the official languages of the OAU. But to phase out English? That would give Kenyans a serious migraine, not with the 'shembeteng' going on these streets....😂😂😂

@@Vasper79 English can never be on its way out for Kenya. The way Kenyans dont even speak correct Kiswahili on the streets? We speak a form of slang which is a mixture of Kiswahili, and some English, and some of the local languages - and so these slang varies from region to region... The slang that would be spoken in Western Kenya is slightly different from the one spoken in Nairobi or Mombasa, but we all understand each other. Correct Kiswahili is spoken though in formal settings and in schools where you are expected to learn Kiswahili as a compulsory subject from nursery school to high school level. We will always have English and Kiswahili as our 2 official languages, plus out entire education system form daycare to University level is in English and I don't see any Kenyan accepting that we change that to Kiswahili. We are proud to have both languages to unite the 48 tribes of Kenya, and to unite us with the rest of East Africa, even Africa as Kiswahili is being adopted as one of the official languages of the OAU. But to phase out English? That would give Kenyans a serious migraine, not with the 'shembeteng' going on these streets....😂😂😂
