Anyone interested in this watch will love it...I bought it 3 weeks ago, the dial and polishing is amazing. @@oakerone7112 This 40.2mm diameter case is 12.8mm thick. The 38.5 diameter "Skyflake" without the power reserve indicator and date window is 10.2mm thick.
Did you just say the hands and indicies are comparable to Rolex! LOL. Rolex on their best day cannot compete with GS on hand and indicies and case finishing Mr. Mosso and you know that. Can we stop propping up Rolex. It is a boring and plain watch best. This GS is a work of art.
Amazing watch, the dials of GS are unbeatable under the 10k range. Does this skyflake wear better than the snowflake? I have the same wrist size as you.
I prefer the ‘flake dial with this case but wish GS would offer it without the power reserve indicator (and maybe even the date window). They know how special and loved the dial is and how many fans have clamored for an uncluttered version. And with an automatic movement, it makes even less sense. Am I missing something?!
You are not. You are right. The Japanese just dont wanna listen to the customers. Like they have one movment and they push it where they can. Why have a power reserve.. and also why no option without a date .. I hate it how lange or Rolex or glashutte have this option but no .. some brands like patek or seiko just dont get it that some people like the date and some dont ... why not make two version to satisfy all clients? It's like with cars .. some people like the diesel some like benzin why be stupid enough to offer only one ? Especially taking into consideration the majority of people dont like the date.
This is the ultimate dress to impress watch. That's the problem with smartwatches like the Fenix 7 pro/Epix 2 is that they're just dorky and unsophisticated. No way would I be caught dead wearing one of those with a suit and tie.
GS innovative movement engineered the spring drive mechanically turns into a quartz like accuracy Rolex has no match for the second hand smooth gliding sweep of the GS spring drive
As a very recent watch, there was still some adhesive on this one from the original front packing sticker. That led to a struggle with exterior dust in this video. You can see that the caseback blue packing sticker remains in place during the video. Best, Tim
@@sergeyzerkin8029 GS is better at movements and new technology, and finishing, and dials and hands, so pretty much everything. Rolex is better as duping suckers to pay 3x what their watches are worth.
My favourite gs. But sadly not good enough.. sadly. The clasp is a bit meh. And while I like eveyrhjng about the case it's too big too thick.. I am okey with the power reserve and the date.. but I dont see it being a dress watch sadly .. and for a sport watch.. well nothing beats a date just 41 and the submariner.

Virtually no videos show this type of surface as it appears in real life. (Those watches look much better in person.) The reason is the source of light must be as pinpoint as possible to make this effect visible to the camera. That's how real snow works, its sparkle is due to the Sun being a relatively _small_ disc in the sky. A typical video lamp OTOH is HUGE, sometimes a portrait-type softbox which obliterates all sparkle.

It does on account of the strap; a standard Snowflake is a bit broad when its end links are added to the case size.
